Chapter 830 - Direct Confrontation
“As expected, the first demon general came to challenge Third Demon General Chen Fan.”
“I wonder if they will actually fight? Both are top-tier demon generals and have killed half-step Manifestation realm experts before.”
"There's no doubt the first demon general is stronger. After all, he could kill a half-step Manifestation realm more than a decade ago—he's surely even stronger now."
“That’s right! I favor the first demon general as well.”
“......”
The crowd watched the movements at the third demon general’s residence from afar, their expressions filled with excitement.
The first demon general’s fierce reputation was well known in the Xuan Ting Demon Sect.
For years, no one had threatened his position. Many demon generals had come and gone, but the title of first demon general remained unshaken.
Some of the more playful members of the sect even made a jingle: Iron-solid first demon general, leaky-water other demon generals.
As for the new third demon general, his rise to fame after defeating the original third demon general, Dou Yan, had caused quite a stir. No one dared to look down on him.
Though his reputation didn’t quite rival that of the first demon general, his strength was undeniable.
Now, with the two standing face to face, the crowd could barely contain their excitement.
“How funny. You and I are both demon generals, equals. Telling me to go see you? When did I become your subordinate, First Demon General?” Chen Fan met the first demon general’s sharp gaze without any fear.
“So, you doubt my position as the first demon general.”
The first demon general’s voice was calm, but an invisible storm surged around him.
The crowd watched intently as Chen Fan and the first demon general stood their ground—neither backing down. They all understood that a fight between the two was sure to break out.
Chen Fan met the first demon general’s aggression without flinching, his words cutting like a blade. “If you wish to relinquish your title, I won’t refuse.”
He slowly rose into the sky, his actions making his intentions clear.
“Are they about to fight?”
The crowd’s hearts pounded, blood racing as excitement and tension filled the air.
Facing the first demon general’s overwhelming aura, Chen Fan stood firm. His own aura erupted, colliding head-on with his opponent’s in a fierce display of power.
It was clear to all—Chen Fan was ready to fight.
“Very well.”
A brilliant light burst out of the first demon general’s eyes. Not a trace of anger could be seen on his face as he said, “In that case, I’ll teach you the rules of the demon sect properly!”
In an instant, the atmosphere froze, and an intense battle loomed.
But before the clash could ignite, a group appeared in the distance. The leader’s white robes fluttered gracefully, drawing the crowd’s attention as they turned to see who approached.
Many of the nearby demon generals immediately bowed in greeting, “Greetings to Your Highness.”
The crowd snapped to their senses and paid their respects one after another.
“Greetings to Your Highness the Princess.”
This newcomer was the princess. She was actually paying attention to this fight.
“At ease,” the princess said with a sweet smile, captivating the crowd, who sighed in admiration of her beauty.
“Tu Shan, Chen Fan, you are both pillars of our Xuan Ting Demon Sect. I won’t allow anything unfortunate to happen to either of you. In this battle, stop once a victor is decided,” said the princess.
Only then did many realize the first demon general’s name was Tu Shan.
“Since Her Highness has spoken, I won’t kill you. I will simply force you to leave the sect,” said Tu Shan, looking at Chen Fan indifferently as if the outcome was already set in stone.
“Can you kill me? What if you lose?” Chen Fan said coldly.
“I won’t lose,” said the First Demon General Tu Shan with a terrifying sharpness.
“Dou Yan thought so too, and he’s dead now,” Chen Fan said.
The first demon general stared at Chen Fan and said, “If I lose, I’ll relinquish my position.”
“Your title means nothing to me—it doesn’t change anything,” Chen Fan said calmly.
As his voice fell, an invisible wind tore through the void.
The crowd watched as winds and clouds churned, the storm-like auras shattering the skies above.
Boom!
Golden demonic light erupted from Tu Shan, distorting the surrounding space. His aura surged violently as he raised a hand, pointing at Chen Fan with the intent to crush him like an insect.
Suddenly, heaven and earth immediately changed. A mournful whimper echoed as primeval qi gathered, coalescing into a radiant finger—shimmering like the hand of an ancient god-king, brimming with power to annihilate all existence.
A fierce might that could collapse heaven and earth could be vaguely felt, threatening to crush the world.
Chen Fan sensed the vast pressure sweeping toward him.
No wonder they call him the fifth demon lord in secret. Just this finger alone carries the aura of a true Manifestation realm expert.
But his response was swift. A fearsome aura erupted from him as a storm of sword qi surged into the sky. Invisible blades shimmered, forming a vast river of sword qi that flowed and rippled around him.
Chen Fan lifted his hand and pointed. The river of swords annihilated the void, whistling in heaven and earth.
Billions of streaks of sword qi appeared and bombarded that terrifying finger, shredding it and wiping it out of existence.
The fight between the first demon general and the third demon general had begun.
The crowd’s gazes were fixed on that battlefield, their hearts filled with horror. @@novelbin@@
Tu Shan had reigned as the unshakable first demon general for years. He was the first demon general, the eternal number one demon general.
This ancient god’s finger struck out. Even from very far away, the crowd could sense the terrifying power contained within.
If any of them had been in Chen Fan’s place, they wouldn’t have survived unscathed; even enduring the blow would have left them gravely injured.
This was the terror of the first demon general!
Chen Fan, who recently joined the Xuan Ting Demon Sect, rose to power as the third demon general. He had slain Dou Yan in the Demon General Ranking Battle, replacing him.
Facing Tu Shan’s ancient god’s finger, he also pointed with his finger, transforming vast amounts of sword qi into a river of swords, washing over the space. It collided with Tu Shan’s ancient god’s finger and tore it to pieces.
“What a terrifying clash!”
Though this was merely a probing exchange, the sheer power on display froze their minds and made their irises shrink.
Both of their probing attacks had the power to collapse heaven and earth.
Countless gazes pierced through the void, looking over.
How could such a monumental battle escape attention?
Even the elusive princess had come personally to observe the battle. She never made an appearance even at the Demon General Ranking Battle, but she was paying attention to this battle.
What do you think?
