Chapter 8: she's malicious

A sharp screamed echoed loudly in the already quite lobby,

The scene unfolded like a dramatic movie. Sophia's eyes widened in shock and humiliation as the red wine streamed down her face and dress. Her hair, once perfectly styled, now hung limp and dripping with wine.

The crowd gasped in unison, their faces a mix of shock, amusement, and horror. Some people rushed to Sophia's side, trying to help her clean up the mess.@@novelbin@@

Ana, still smiling sweetly, handed the empty wine glass to a nearby waiter. "I think I need another drink," she said, her voice dripping with sarcasm.

"You malicious creature, we all saw that Sophia didn't mean to pour the wine on Lilian, but you deliberately spilled wine on her."

Ana gaze lit up as she looked at the creature that just spoke, just mere looking at her she could tell that she was of those people that was willing to be a dog to get what they wanted." Malicious. "? An asked pointing at her self." I'm anything but malicious, I already told you I tripped over, you don't have to believe it anyways. " Ana said not bothering to stay behind an dlosten to their chatter , she walked away from the crowd.

As Ana walked away, the crowd began to disperse, with some people still murmuring about the incident. Sophia, still fuming, was helped by her assistants to clean up the mess.

Lily caught up with Ana, concern etched on her face. "Ana, are you okay? That was quite a scene."

Ana shrugged, her expression nonchalant. "I'm fine, Lily, Just a little wine spill."

Lily raised an eyebrow. "A little wine spill? Ana, you deliberately poured wine on Sophia"

Ana smiled, a mischievous glint in her eye. "Maybe just a little revenge, Lily. She started it, after all."

Lily sighed, shaking her head. "Ana, you're going to get us into trouble one of these days."

Ana chuckled."Lily you should learn to retaliate sometimes, it's not good to be vulnerable always, if someone stepped on you, you walk over them, if they bump into you , you push them , don't be too kind."Ana said sounding very serious this time.

Lily let out a pitiful smile." I really wish I could do that , but I care about my reputation, if I want to make it to the top , I would have to learn to accept somethings."

Ana sighed." If I was your father's daughter , the company would be thriving more by now. "Ana said shaking her head pitifully and raised her glass." Cheers to you getting more bullied in the future."Lily laughed and raised her own glass.

As they clinked glasses and took a sip, Ana suddenly felt suffocated by the crowded room. "Excuse me, Lily, I need some fresh air," she said, setting her glass down.

Lily nodded understandingly. "Okay, I'll stay here and make sure everything is okay."

Ana made her way through the crowd and stepped out into the cool night air. She took a deep breath, feeling the tension in her body begin to ease.

Just as she was starting to relax, she heard a voice behind her. "Well, well, well. Look who's trying to escape."

Ana turned to see Sophia standing behind her, a venomous look in her eyes. "Wrong timing, I'm busy." Ana said, her voice firm.

Sophia sneered. "You think you're so clever, don't you? Spilling wine all over me and then acting like the victim."

Ana raised an eyebrow. "I'm not acting like the victim, Mr green beans. You're just mad because you got caught trying to bully Lily."

Sophia's face turned red with rage. "How dare you I was just trying to help Lily, and you ruined everything."

Ana laughed. "Help Lily? You call pouring wine all over her helping? You're just jealous of her beauty and success."

Sophia's eyes narrowed. "You're just a stupid, ignorant fool. You have no idea what's going on in this industry."

Ana smiled sweetly. "Oh, I think I have a pretty good idea. And I know that you're just a desperate, washed-up actress trying to cling to the spotlight."

Sophia's face turned purple with rage.Sophia's eyes blazed with fury as she took a step closer to Ana. "You think you're so smart, don't you?" she spat. "Well, let me show you what happens when you cross me."

Sophia snapped her fingers, and two burly men emerged from the shadows. They were dressed in black suits, their faces expressionless.

"Take care of her," Sophia ordered, her voice dripping with malice. "Make sure she knows not to mess with me again."

The men nodded, their eyes fixed on Ana. One of them took a step forward, his massive hand reaching out to grab Ana.

Ana's heart skipped a beat as she realized she was in grave danger. She tried to step back, but her feet felt rooted to the spot.

The man's hand closed around her wrist, his grip like a vice. Ana winced in pain as he twisted her arm, forcing her to spin around.

The second man moved in, his hands grasping for Ana's shoulders. Ana struggled to break free, but the men were too strong.

Sophia watched with a satisfied smile as Ana was restrained. "You should have kept your mouth shut," she sneered. "Now, you're going to pay the price." Sophia turned to leave, but not before casting a triumphant glance at Ana. The two men holding Ana began to drag her away, but just as they were about to disappear into the shadows, a figure burst onto the scene.

One of the men was sent flying across the room, crashing into the wall with a loud thud. Ana's eyes widened in shock as she saw the man who had intervened.

He was tall, with broad shoulders and piercing eyes that seemed to bore into the souls of the men holding Ana. His jaw was set, his expression fierce, and Ana could sense the raw power emanating from him.

"Mr Maverick....." Ana muttered under her breath
