Chapter 319 Qiao'er Has a Fever
Qin Hao was called into the study by Xu Liangguo.
The two of them stayed inside for a long time and talked for a long time, but nobody knew what they were discussing.
However, when Qin Hao came out, he had a smile on his face.
Seeing this, Xu Jiekang and Xu Siyao breathed a sigh of relief, feeling that the issue must have been resolved.
In the living room, Qin Hao said to Xu Liangguo and Wang Ping, "Mr. Xu, Ms. Xu, thank you for your trouble these past few days. I'm heading back now."
"Hmm!" Xu Liangguo nodded slightly.
Xu Jiekang and his family also said their farewells and left.
Around five in the afternoon, Qin Hao drove back to Jianghai City. He first dropped off Xu Jiekang and his family at their home, then he went home himself.
Han Meng was sitting in the courtyard, chatting with Zhao Xingbo and his wife.
"Xiao Hao is back!" Zhao Xingbo said with a smile.
Qin Hao smiled and nodded, "I went to Gujing City to handle some matters, and it's all settled now."
Zhao Xingbo smiled and said, "It's good that it's settled. You business folks are really busy, never at home.
Yu Ying is the same, busy all day, only manages to come home at night."
Listening to his chatter, Qin Hao couldn't help but think of his own parents.
"You guys keep chatting, I'm going to make a phone call." After saying that, he went inside the villa, took out his mobile phone, and called his dad.
Qin Youguo asked with a smile, "Hello, what's up, son?"
Qin Hao: "Nothing much Dad, just missing you a bit. What are you busy with? And mom?"
Qin Youguo: "The car factory has closed down. I spend my time downstairs playing chess with them. Your mom should be upstairs."
Qin Hao: "Dad, I bought a house here in Jianghai. Whenever you have time, come and visit, and maybe stay here afterward."
Qin Youguo immediately refused without a second thought, "No, no. Going there where we know nobody, and there's nobody to play chess with, I won't go."
Qin Hao: "Dad, there are neighbors here, and if you want to play chess, there are people to play with. Discuss it with Mom; come over in the next few days. Just say that I miss you guys."
"Alright, I'll talk to your mom about it when I get home."
...
After hanging up, Qin Hao took out an ID from his pocket with several big characters written on it.
Xuan Country Academy of Sciences Fellow Certificate!
This is a Fellowship certificate. In the whole of Xuan Country with over a billion people, there are fewer than a thousand fellows. Its prestige is self-evident.
Each fellow has made outstanding contributions in their field and received major awards. It's not something ordinary people can enter.
He placed the certificate in his room, then went out again to chat with Zhao Xingbo and the others.
In recent days, the upper society of Jianghai City was almost entirely focused on the issues between the Xiao Family and Qin Hao.
Xiao Liang's leg was broken, and the Xiao Family was not likely to let that go, but Qin Hao was not to be trifled with, as he had the Xu Family behind him.
However, the Xu Family didn't have much power in the political arena, so most people favored the Xiao Family, thinking Qin Hao was doomed this time.
But several days had passed, and Qin Hao was still unharmed, while the Xiao Family had quieted down and stopped discussing the matter.
This made everyone both surprised and curious.
Just the Xu Family alone couldn't have made the Xiao Family back down. Could it be that Qin Hao had some other terrifying background?
This made many people curious and also put Qin Hao on their list of people not to offend.
If even the Xiao Family dared not touch Qin Hao, who in Jianghai City would dare?
Around six in the evening, Han Qiaoer came back, but she did not look very well.
Qin Hao looked at her and asked, "Qiao'er, what's wrong? Are you feeling unwell?"
"Uncle, my head hurts a little," Qiao'er said as she held onto his neck.
Qin Hao touched her forehead, frowning, "It's a bit hot, you might have a fever, Qiao'er."
"Hmm." Qiao'er felt weak all over and lay on Qin Hao's body, not wanting to move.
Qin Hao carried her tightly into the room, "It's okay, Qiao'er, have some porridge later, and uncle will take a look at you."
After saying this, he went to the kitchen where Han Meng was cooking dinner.
"Meng, Qiao'er has a bit of a fever. Can you make some millet porridge for her to drink later?" he asked.
Upon hearing this, Han Meng's eyes instantly filled with panic, "Should we go and see a doctor? Is she okay?"
Qin Hao smiled and replied, "It's okay, Meng, I'll take a look at Qiao'er in a while. I guarantee she'll be better by tonight."
"Right, Xiao Hao, your medical skills are impressive," Han Meng finally relieved her worry.
If it were not for Qin Hao, her leg would not have healed either.
Soon she had prepared dinner, and first Han Meng went to the room to feed Qiao'er.
After finishing his meal, Qin Hao went to the room. He touched Qiao'er's forehead which was much hotter than before.
"Qiao'er, uncle will give you a massage," Qin Hao told her.
Qiao'er slightly opened her eyes, "Hmm."
Qin Hao started massaging from her head, using a set of massage techniques that targeted many acupoints and could reduce fever.
After washing the dishes and utensils, Han Meng came in from outside and saw Qin Hao massaging. She sat on the bed and did not disturb them.
After massaging a few times, Qiao'er felt much better, and her head wasn't as dizzy.
"Uncle, you're so amazing. I feel much better," Qiao'er said with a smile on her face.
Hearing her daughter's words, Han Meng sighed with relief and looked at Qin Hao with gratitude.
Qin Hao said, "You're not all better yet. I'll give you acupuncture in a bit, and that should do it."
"Hmm." Qiao'er closed her eyes slightly, enjoying the comfort brought by Qin Hao's massage.
About ten minutes later, Qin Hao took out the 'nine-nine' silver needles and inserted a few into Qiao'er's head and body.
The silver needles stayed in for five minutes before Qin Hao removed them. Experience more tales on My Virtual Library Empire
He asked, "Qiao'er, how do you feel now?"
Qiao'er, lying on the bed, said, "Much better."
"Good, you'll feel completely better after some sleep. Go to sleep," Qin Hao tucked her in.
Qiao'er grabbed his hand, looking pitiful, and said, "Uncle, I want you to stay with me."
Qin Hao paused for a moment, glanced at Han Meng, whose cheeks were flushed, as she looked down, too shy to meet Qin Hao's gaze.
"That's not appropriate, Qiao'er," he said.
Qiao'er insisted, "No, I want uncle to stay with me, or I won't be able to sleep."@@novelbin@@
Qin Hao tried to leave, but Qiao'er held his hand tightly.
"Alright, uncle will stay here with you, okay? Now, go to sleep," he said, sitting on the edge of the bed.
Qiao'er moved to the middle of the bed and said with a smile, "Uncle, you sleep on my right side, and Mom sleeps on the left, okay?"
Qin Hao looked helplessly at Han Meng, then nodded, "Okay, but you need to go to sleep quickly."
After that, Qin Hao lay down on Qiao'er's right side, planning to leave after she fell asleep.
Han Meng's cheeks were crimson as she sat on the edge of the bed, unsure whether to sleep or stay awake.
Qiao'er said, "Mom, turn off the light and go to sleep."
"Oh, okay." Han Meng quickly turned off the light and carefully lay down on the bed, trying not to move a muscle.
What do you think?
