The gigantic, white-colored machine moved inside of the battleship, the white-haired pilot glanced down one last time at the battles going on below, deciding to simply ignore this, despite how incredible it might seem.

"Whatever that robot is, it getting beaten almost equally… both are probably going to destroy each other," he thought. "I have no idea where that even came from, but it doesn't matter at the end… My mission is done."

He relaxed, walking out of his mech as he left the large blue crystal in the hangar, a large group of machines grabbed it and started to mobilize it to a safer area of the spaceship.

"Phew, finally done," he sighed in relief, stretching his arms. "I was getting tired and bored of that damned rainforest and its ugly people."

As he sighed in relief and looked around, he quickly saw several other cadets appear, pilots and also his general an equally handsome man with long blue hair and sharp crimson eyes.

One of the characteristics that most of the people her head was that they were all incredibly handsome, slender, and tall, almost artificially.

It was as if they were dolls, rather than people, lacking any sort of normal imperfections in their bodies or faces that just anybody, even handsome people would have sometimes.

Women were just as slender and tall, sometimes looking similar between males and females, although their wider hips and larger chest made them easy to spot among all these doll-like people.

"Well done, Cadet Refusio Desperado, your efforts will not be unrewarded," the General spoke, readjusting his glasses. "It has been a few months since you were sent there as part of the mission, amongst many more, but it seems that you were the only one that could survive the terrifying rainforest."

"General Austan, it's an honor. And well, it was full of giant dinosaurs, so even our machines would've struggled there… Of course, if they weren't inferior to mine and also terrible at control unlike me, they might have had a chance," Refusio laughed. "However, I have come back with the big prize. And I've also bought several samples with evolved and mutated Xenoid Cells from those Mutant People Tribes, and how they've been living, keeping their sapience somewhat, while harnessing the power of the cells."

He quickly handed over a large case with the samples, alongside various documents he had been writing inside of his drive.

"Excellent… With this, even harboring the power of Xenoid Cells and implanting Neutonium Cores within our bodies could become a reality," smiled the General. "The plan will continue as planned. The Neutonium Mother Core will be moved to headquarters, where it'll fuel the Ark so we can leave this planet before they become back."

"Is it already too late?" wondered Refusio, his eyes squinting.

"Yes, there are moving rapidly through space, having already gone past Mars. We must hurry. Most things are ready, however." Said the general, walking away. "You should rest but be prepared to depart as well, once we reach headquarters, you'll come with me to the ark, cadet. You've earned yourself a ticket."

"Were the other two fragments secured in time?" Refusio asked, although he felt relieved he was leaving this doomed planet, he still had more questions.

"…"

The general fell into silence.

"Unfortunately, the teams we had sent to secure them came back saying they had already been taken away," said General Austan. "It appears that somebody had stolen them… We were unable to find out who even now, and we don't have time to continue the investigation anyways."

"Dammit… this can't be possible! Just who stole such huge crystals, hidden inside facilities that were deep inside of areas full of mutants?!" Refusio asked, furious and confused.

"We have no idea… but we are afraid that someone within our only group had been actively trying to sabotage our escape from the planet," explained the General. "With what we've prepared and the Neutonium Shards we've secured, however, plus the Mother Core that can automatically grow and produce more shards every day, it should still be possible to fuel the Ark and leave. There's roughly ten million people inside of cryogenic sleep, all carefully handpicked from our population at its peak five hundred years ago."

"I see…" Refusio nodded. "We were chosen to be awoken earlier after all, could it be possible to go back to cryogenic sleep?"

"It can only be done once before your body begins to suffer side effects, which may include death before being woken up again," said the general. "Unfortunately, we might not live long enough to see where our next home will be. But fear not, Refusio. We've contributed for humanity's future, that is enough for me, and it should be for you."

"…Yeah, I suppose," Refusio nodded, sighing a bit.

The general and the other cadets with him walked away, as Refusio looked through the window, feeling rather angered deep down.

Despite all his efforts they were unable to secure the special data inside of the ancient satellites floating in the stratosphere.

And with a drone of several million of Xenoids coming to this planet, the world was entirely doomed.

He wished things could be different.

That they didn't have to abandon this world, their home.

That he didn't have to die without ever being able to see the blue sky, the sun, or the moon.

He was frustrated that life had to be this way.

"Ah right, I forgot to mention, general!"

Refusio remembered something, rushing towards the General again, who glanced back at him.

"What is it now, Refusio?"

"There was a strange robot in the rainforest when we left, it was enormous, seemingly made out of the combination of several robots at once," explained Refusio. "It was fighting the monster that the Saurian King had become… and it had a very strange supernatural power! Do you know anything about them?"@@novelbin@@

"Hmm? What? Is such a thing real?" the General squinted his eyes. "Refusio… maybe you're too tired. Go back to your room and rest for a bit before we depart to the stars."

"But I'm sure that what I saw was…" Refusio muttered, falling into silence. "I apologize… I must've been seeing things."

"I thought so," the general patted his shoulders, finally walking away.

As Refusio sighed one last time, he decided to move back to his room.

Yet.

BOOOM!
