Chapter 1239 Project New Humanity
-----
The space within the Virtual World rumbled, as the stars seemed distant in the horizon, massive drones made of red flesh covered with black metallic shells, and with long tentacles with crimson eyes attached to them moved across space rapidly, propelled by large organs at the end of their bodies that released a combination of flammable components to propel rapidly through biological means.
This was how Xenoids moved through space, all across their bodies there were orifices where they released near-invisible propelling substances that allowed them to move quickly, sometimes, by gathering electromagnetic energies into their bodies, their movement speed increased even more.
And these drones… They weren't just a dozen nor even a hundred, they were tens of thousands, accompanied by even larger Brutes, but even worse, a gigantic mass as big as the moon was also slowly approaching.
It was like the rest, but gigantic and utterly disgusting to even look at, a small planet made out of red flesh, white fat, bones, peeled skin, and covered with tentacles, alongside possessing a single, gigantic eye in front of it.
They communicated through telepathy, the massive entity telling every Xenoid Drone to continue their course towards the Planet in front of them.
"This is where our children landed back then, we're finally here. This world full of life, that has been experimenting with my kin… It shall be our new Womb World."
Womb Worlds, planets that sustained biological lifeforms before, which were modified and terraformed by the Xenoids into planets of flesh, blood, bones, and fat, where Xenoid Eggs are incubated until they hatch as larvae.
Her voice resonated through all Xenoids, and they were the words of their primordial mother, in a second, their bodies propelled at lightning speeds through space, reaching their target in mere seconds.
The stratosphere of the planet was already within reach, the moment they set their giant tentacles into this world, it would be theirs to devour. Find adventures on My Virtual Library Empire

"We're here…"
Refusio's sharp eyes squinted, glancing at the giant building that represented the Nexus Corporations, the entire party entered through the bridge they opened for the spaceship.
Once inside, the whole group was greeted by countless armed soldiers, robots, and also several other generals and leaders.
And above them all, some familiar "faces" for Blake.
Or at least, familiar people.
"So it seems to be the truth…"
"The Mother Core has a spirit of its own?"
"We couldn't believe it when we read that information…"
"Hmm, amusing beyond belief."
The Four Elders of the Mothership were here, Blake only recognized them from their voices, they were very old people but weren't inside of cryogenic capsules while their consciousness was connected to some sort of online source to transmit their thoughts either.
In essence, it was the Elders before becoming the Elders, and they resembled old men, one was lanky, another very short, one was clearly overweight, the other seemed strong. Two of them were bald, the other two had long hair and beards.
Their faces had wrinkles all over, they were perhaps over 80 years of age or more, but they were still kicking, even if they had to sit down over floating chairs or needed a robot to attend their basic needs.
"This is fascinating beyond belief."
"We had a theory that the Mother Cores possessed Spiritual abilities, but we never had the time to properly investigate this."
"We had originally divided the core into three pieces when we found them inside a meteor, the same meteor where the Xenoids had arrived."
"The Xenoids seemed like a dangerous kind of parasitic alien, but we were able to contain them due to how weakened they had become within the Mother Core's Electromagnetic Field…"
"Originally, we had great plants for the future of humanity… But then the great catastrophe happened."
"What was that?" Blake asked. "This great catastrophe I keep hearing everywhere… Is it related with the Mutants all over the world?"
Blake and the Elders had a serious conversation while everyone else prepared for the great audience where they would receive the words from the Mother Core Spirit.
"Yes, they… they are."
"There's no point on hiding this fact anymore."
"Indeed… Our sins- no, the sins of humanity as a whole, they must also be exposed."
"The guilt I live with, I feel like it will make me go insane one day…"
"Insane, huh?" Blake wondered. "I suppose that's what happened to your true selves, the ones from the real world I come from. You went insane obsessed with eternal life and resources. Purposely extending your lives inside of special cryogenic capsules that allowed you to move through wheels and communicate, becoming eternal rulers to the Human Colony within the Mothership. You grew corrupted, and instead of using the resources available to strengthen the Defense Army protecting the ship from Xenoid attacks, you saved it as your fortune when you were to become the new kings of the terraformed planet."
"S-So we did go mad at the end…"
"This is disheartening to hear."
"We originally never had any intention for anything of this to happen."
"We… we had good intentions; we did this for the betterment of humanity but… I suppose not even that helped at the end."
"Don't worry, I solved the problem, and you've become much better people," Blake nodded with a smile. "Anyways, now explain to me what this catastrophe was."
"The catastrophe…"
"It occurred several years ago, hundreds of years ago."
"It was at the time when we discovered that meteor we told you about."
"Xenoids… possessed abilities all of humanity had always wished to have."
"Regeneration, eternal youth, incredible superhuman strength, dexterity, agility, and senses. They could even survive in the vacuum of space and adapt to anything with energy to feed on."
"Above all, Xenoids were compatible with our DNAs, for some reason. Perhaps due to their parasitic nature."@@novelbin@@
"Like that, after these discoveries, Project New Humanity began, where we started creating new humans, improved with Xenoid Cells…"
"Project New Humanity…" Blake said, nodding. "To think you would do such an insane thing."
