1.Reincarnation
September 27, 2014.
Modern era.
23:54.
Tokyo, Japan.
On that rather cold night, a truck with blood stains on its front was stopped on the side of the road and the body of the teenager in a terrible state lay on the ground, before the horrified eyes of the people around him.
This was none other than Mizuno Rem, a fourth year student.
Between tears that flowed from her face as she died she said.
-Help! Help me!.
No one else came closer, they were just perplexed watching how the body of the boy bled to death while one of his arms and one of his legs separated from his entire body.
Causing him unbearable pain in his extreme agony, he was just a teenager who in the end according to anyone would say, HAD BAD LUCK.
Then finally, between tears, he died.
...
But suddenly he opened his eyes and where he looked there was absolutely nothing, he was in a dark space and that scared him.
It's not that he couldn't stand the darkness but seeing in front of him a kind of hologram of his corpse left him speechless.
Although he could have felt horrified it wasn't like that, because fear comes from the mind and he was already dead.
He was quite shocked and couldn't express or feel any emotion for what he was seeing.
-Is it me? - he asked-. Why did I end up like this? What did I do to die like this?
I went out to do some shopping at the store and look how I ended up, will I see my friends again? Dad or Mom where are they? he asked confused.
He couldn't express any feelings, he only projected a part of what he knew in his consciousness but there were no tears or pain to express, only an endless emptiness.
Then, a floating window appeared before him and said: "Welcome to my little space," it said in a mechanical voice.
The floating window had a blooming blue appearance that would suit most humans' taste.
"It seems you've died earlier than imagined," the system said, confusing Rem even more, who immediately asked, "System?! Are you like the system in the novels?"
"Yes, but not like you imagine," this system said, confusing Rem quite a bit, and asked, "What do you mean?"
"Normally the system you read about in a novel is concerned with making life difficult for the protagonists and also giving them benefits like powerful weapons or incredible powers, so this system ends up passing from host to host infinitely once the protagonist's (Host) wishes are fulfilled, but, I'm different or at least in a sense." This answer confused Rem even more.
"I don't understand what you mean," the system then said. "In other words, you belong to me and I belong to you, that's why nothing has appeared about you being the host or all that nonsense that happens."
This answer made Rem feel strange because she didn't really know what was going on at the moment and the system realizing this said, "We are connected, which means that I belong to you and you belong to me eternally."
Rem immediately understood and burst into excited laughter. "Something that only many dreamed of thinking it was fantasy was in his hands and now he could do whatever he wanted." He thought.
Suddenly, the floating window began to glow. "Absolute System active, synchronization complete." When Rem saw this, he asked, "What is this system for?"
"The system doesn't give any kind of mission, it's you who must be in charge of setting it or giving an order for them to choose a random mission for you." He replied. Although it confused Rem a little, this system knew that it was dealing with a teenager.
Noticing how confused the boy was, the window produced a golden ray that touched Rem's mind, giving him knowledge about the system's functions.
“That's right, the system of unknown origin is an absolute system with a power that transcends infinity, being literally invincible, it has a set of functions that adapt to my orders and within these functions there is a special one called a store.”
"In this you can find everything that exists in the universe, such as skills, techniques, powers of any kind, objects, everything. Everything can be bought right now without the need for points, but they are bought with points through main missions from which you can either choose or you go randomly to the one you find, they send you to a random world to complete them."
"The given missions can be completed as many times as possible because they do not have objectives in people or things but in myself, which makes this system extremely selfish and unconcerned about the lives of anyone other than innocents, innocents must be prevented from being killed, that being a single rule of this system."
"Once reincarnated I will never return to this space system unless I accumulate enough points through the mission to be able to travel to another world or universe, "The question is how many points I need to travel to other planets, universes, or realities."
Knowledge about the system came to her mind and she finally understood everything she needed to know about the system. "Maybe returning to my family isn't an impossible dream."
"System, use the random mission function," she said, letting herself be carried away by the emotion projected from her consciousness.
The floating window began to change and showed a panel of thousands and millions of missions of all kinds and among so many lists a kind of light began to touch the description of each mission at the speed of light, quickly going through all the missions multiple times until stopping on one.
"The chosen mission is Room Temperature Absorption." Once this appeared, Rem lost consciousness.
...
In a desert, it was relentlessly hot, everything was dry and it seemed like it hadn't rained for a long time and there, of all possible places, was Rem.
But surprisingly, Rem woke up and finally realized what it was: "What the fuck?! "Am I a rock?!"
(End of chapter).
What do you think?
