Chapter 914 In And Out

Villain Ch 914. In And Out

With the strange loot safely tucked away in his inventories, the group decided it was time to call it a day. Their once sparkling smiles were replaced by expressions of exhaustion and lingering discomfort. They returned to their base, but the usual excitement and chatter were noticeably absent.

Allen, his shoulders slumped. He still felt nauseous, the image of the Spider Queen's head with its obscene expression burned into his mind. Every so often, he would shudder involuntarily, the memory making his skin crawl.

Shea was beside him, her face twisted in a mix of anger and disgust. A deep frown etched itself onto her forehead, and she muttered under her breath, unable to shake off the encounter. "What's with that head?" she growled. "That stupid pervert head, how dare it show that kind of face in front of me!"

Zoe attempted to soothe her mother. "Mom, it's just a game. Try not to let it get to you," she said gently, but even she couldn't hide her own discomfort completely.

Shea shook her head, still fuming. "I know it's just a game, but that thing... it's beyond disturbing. I thought Allen was overreacting, but now I see why he was so disgusted."

Vivian shared a glance with Jane. "I don't blame Allen for his reaction. That head was something else," she said quietly.@@novelbin@@

Jane nodded in agreement, still shaken by the explicit nature of the items. "I've never seen anything like it. I can't believe the developers thought that was a good idea."

Bella, her usual enthusiasm dampened, sighed heavily. "It's almost dinner time. Maybe we should take a break. I need to get that image out of my head."

Alice, who had been silent for most of the walk back, finally spoke up. "Agreed. A break sounds good. We need to reset after today."

Larissa, normally so composed, added, "Let's log off for now. We can regroup and decide what to do next after we've had some time to clear our heads."

Allen nodded, grateful for the suggestion. "Yeah, I think a break would be good for all of us," he said, his voice weary. He was still battling the nausea, and the idea of logging off and stepping away from the game was immensely appealing. He turned to his companions, who were preparing to log off. "You guys go ahead.

I'm going to head to the auction NPC and put these items up for sale," he said, his voice steady despite the lingering unease. "If they don't sell, I'll get rid of them directly. I don't want them sticking around in my inventory."

The others nodded in agreement, clearly eager to leave the disturbing loot behind. "Good idea," Vivian said, her relief evident. "Let us know how it goes."

"I'll check back in later," Zoe said, giving Allen a reassuring smile. "Take care, Allen."

The group logged off one by one, their avatars fading from sight as they disconnected from the game. Allen took a deep breath, steeling himself for the task ahead. He started walking towards the portal room, the echoes of his footsteps the only sound in the otherwise silent base.

But then he heard another set of footsteps behind him, light and quick. He stopped in his tracks and turned around, curious to see who was following him. It was Bella, her nine tails swaying gently as she approached him.

"Bella?" Allen said, his surprise evident. "I thought you logged off with the others."

Bella shook her head, a small smile playing on her lips. "I wanted to make sure you were okay," she said, her voice soft and genuine. "Today was... a lot to handle."

Allen nodded, appreciating her concern. "Yeah, it was. I'm still trying to process everything."

Bella stepped closer, her eyes meeting his with a look of understanding. "I figured you might want some company while you deal with the auction. Plus, I wanted to see if there's anything I can do to help."

Allen gave Bella a reassuring smile. "I'm fine. If you want a break, just log off. Don't worry too much about me," he said, his tone gentle yet firm. He remembered it was Bella who had agreed to log off earlier, and he didn't want her to stay on his account.

Bella bit her lip, hesitating for a moment before nodding. "Okay," she said softly, her concern still evident in her eyes.

Allen nodded back, appreciating her understanding. He turned and continued his steps toward the portal room. The sound of his footsteps echoed off the stone walls, mingling with the soft hum of the portal's energy. The light from the portal cast shifting patterns on the floor, creating an almost ethereal atmosphere.

Once in front of the portal, Allen selected his destination: Ront City. He chose it without a second thought. Ront City was a bustling hub, and he was familiar with its ins and outs. It was the perfect place to quickly drop off his loot. His plan was straightforward: travel to Ront City, visit the Auction NPC, drop off the loot, return to the base, and log out.

He also activated his disguise skills. His appearance shifted and blurred for a moment before solidifying into his assassin persona, Al. His devil emperor features were replaced by the sharp, shadowy visage of a master assassin.

Stepping through the portal, he felt the portal pulling him across the vast distances. In an instant, he was transported from the bustling streets of Ront City. The noise and energy of the city hit him like a wave. Merchants shouted their wares, players haggled over prices, and the clatter of feet on cobblestones filled the air.

Quickly, Allen navigated the crowded streets with ease, his movements fluid and purposeful. He moved through the throngs of players and NPCs, his eyes scanning the surroundings with practiced vigilance. The city was alive with activity, its medieval architecture towering overhead. Banners fluttered in the breeze, and the smell of food from street vendors wafted through the air.

'At least this can clear my mind a bit,' he thought.

He made his way to the central plaza, where the Auction NPC was located. The plaza was a large, open space filled with stalls and merchants. Your next chapter awaits on My Virtual Library Empire
