Chapter 46 I Hope You Won’t Blame Me When You Learn the Truth
“Get in the car. It’s too chaotic out here. As your older brother, it’s only right that I personally take my little sister home, isn’t it?”
With the situation settled, Qi Lin motioned for Wang Siling to get into the car.
His words sounded righteous and proper, but Wang Siling knew exactly what he really meant. Her face flushed, and she felt a sense of unease creeping up inside her.
“Brother Qi Lin, can you take my classmates and Yu Chen with us?”
She looked at him expectantly.
If everyone went together, Qi Lin wouldn’t have a chance to do anything to her. But Qi Lin simply laughed.
“I may be rich, but I’m not running a charity. They have nothing to do with me—why should I bring them along?”
Then his expression darkened slightly.
“Now hurry up and get in before I get mad.”
______
Every time Wang Siling got into Qi Lin’s car, Yu Chen’s heart sank—as if something bad was bound to happen. Now that the thugs had let him go, he crawled up in a panic, blindly searching for Wang Siling.
“Siling! Where are you? Don’t get in that bastard’s car! He’s up to no good!”
But Qi Lin simply glanced at him coldly.
“His eyes were burned by lime powder. If he doesn’t get to a hospital soon and rinse them out, he might go blind.”
Hearing that Yu Chen could lose his sight, Wang Siling panicked even more. She turned to Qi Lin with a pleading look.
“Brother Qi Lin, please, take Yu Chen to the hospital.”
Qi Lin’s lips curled into a wicked smile, and he whispered something into her ear. The moment she heard it, her ears burned red, and an overwhelming sense of shame washed over her.
But Yu Chen’s condition was critical. Even though she was mortified, she had no choice but to nod obediently.
Seeing her submit so quickly, Qi Lin let out a dramatic sigh.
“Ahh, what can I say? I have a soft heart. Since we’re all from the same school, I guess I’ll be a good Samaritan today and take Yu Chen to the hospital.”
______
For all of Yu Chen’s arrogance, he fell completely silent the moment he heard he could go blind. He wanted to refuse Qi Lin’s help, but he didn’t dare.
There was another reason he kept quiet, he didn’t trust Qi Lin. He feared Qi Lin would do something to Wang Siling, and with his temporary blindness, he wouldn’t be able to stop him.
So rather than letting someone else take him to the hospital, he figured it was better to go with them—at least he could keep an ear on what was happening.
What he didn’t realize was…
Qi Lin was far more daring than he could ever imagine.
______
“Xiaoxiao, you and the others take the bus home. I’ll go with Brother Qi Lin to take Yu Chen to the hospital.”
After saying her goodbyes to her classmates, Wang Siling moved to help Yu Chen into the car.
But Qi Lin simply grabbed her hand, then yanked Yu Chen by the collar and shoved him roughly into the backseat.
Then, he motioned for Wang Siling—who was originally planning to sit in the back—to take the front seat instead. Under the pressure of this devil, her big, teary eyes trembled, and she pouted slightly. But in the end, she could only obey.
_____
The atmosphere inside the car was tense and suffocating. Perhaps because of his injuries, Yu Chen eventually dozed off in the backseat. Seeing that the timing was right, Qi Lin pointed at his lips and gave Wang Siling a playful smirk. Her face immediately turned bright red, and she avoided his gaze, too embarrassed to look at him.
____
Earlier, Qi Lin had agreed to take Yu Chen to the hospital, but in exchange, Wang Siling had to agree to his condition. And that condition was she had to kiss him voluntarily.
Originally, Qi Lin just wanted to tease her—to crush her self-esteem while Yu Chen lay helplessly in the back. But then, Yu Chen actually fell asleep, which made it less fun than he expected.
With one hand on the steering wheel, Qi Lin reached out with his other hand and gently lifted Wang Siling’s delicate chin. Her long eyelashes trembled, her soft, rosy lips inches away from his own. Then, their lips met.
Meanwhile, in the backseat, Yu Chen remained unconscious, completely unaware of what was happening. The girl he believed would be his future girlfriend was paying off his debt—with her own lips.
As the sunlight streamed through the car windows, a thin, glistening strand of saliva hung between them. Flustered, Wang Siling quickly wiped it away, her face burning in embarrassment. Qi Lin, however, felt oddly satisfied. That was refreshing.
He had been planning to stop for a drink, but now… he suddenly didn’t feel thirsty anymore.
_____
Then, he turned to Wang Siling and smirked.
“So, about that 10,000 yuan debt—how are you planning to repay it?”
“Are you going to use yourself? Or do you want to pay it off in 100 installments?”
Wang Siling had no idea that this entire situation was Qi Lin’s doing.
In reality, he had only spent 200 yuan, yet he had successfully trapped her in a 10,000 yuan debt.
She instantly understood what Qi Lin meant by using herself. Her most precious thing—her body—there was no way she would ever give that to Qi Lin.
She frantically shook her head.
“I… I’ll do it like before…”
Her voice was so soft, it was barely a whisper.
Qi Lin grinned.
“Alright. But since this is your second time borrowing money, the interest rate has gone up. From now on, you have to kiss me voluntarily.”
“W-What?! You… You can’t just raise the price like that!”
She blushed furiously, her heart pounding.
If she kept kissing him like this, what if she got used to it?
Would she… turn into a bad girl?
“It’s my money, so I make the rules. I’ll raise the price however I want. If you don’t agree…”
Qi Lin glanced at the backseat, where Yu Chen was still asleep.
“I’ll throw this idiot out of the car right now.”
Hearing that, Wang Siling’s heart nearly stopped. She turned to look at Yu Chen, her eyes filled with sadness.
“Yu Chen… Everything I’m doing… I’m doing it for you. I just hope that one day, when you learn the truth… you won’t blame me.”
Her long, delicate eyelashes fluttered as she closed her eyes, and when she opened them again—
She nodded shyly.
“O-Okay… Just… don’t throw him out. I… I agree.”
What do you think?
