Chapter 202– Doctor in the Frenzy Labyrinth – Part 9.
"Boss, are you sure about this? Aren't we waiting our time by doing this?" – asked annoyed elf player.
"Well yea. Let's just have one of most dangerous players in game that are completely psychopaths on the lose that is also spreading the plague through the entire floor that can kill everybody."
"This is an 100% waste of time." – said annoyed Trick.
"…. Em…." – the elf player decided to keep his mouth shut.
"…Tch."
"Honestly, I don't want to deal with that bastard, but with the current circumstances, we have no choice but to hunt him down." – said Trick as she and her guild wondered through the floor and hunting down any monsters that came their way.
Some of the two headed monkeys and the two headed gorals rushed at the Trick, but the moment that had happened her guild member rushed at the monsters and intercept the enemy, blocking them and even overpowering somewhat very quickly from get go.
"According to our little informant, the Doctor had plans on killing everybody on this floor and he even started putting down some sort of devices that spread the plague for him." – said Trick.
"So, do we destroy them?" – said the heavily armored as he blocked the twin headed gorilla monster attack before moments later one of the gorilla heads were blow off by Trick arrow with easy, causing the second head to get complete scared and back away, only to get with the barrages of arrows over and over before then getting hit with an powerful shot that pierced through the gorilla chest, finishing off the elite monster.
"Should we destroy them?" – asked Trick.
"I mean, what if we destroy them and they just blow us up with even more plague?"
"The plague itself have some limitations and there was shown multiple times that his plagues aren't all mighty."
"Apparently his first plague attack only looked scary, but if you just kept your distance away for short time, the entire plague would disappear on its own."
"In other words, this guy can create plagues and he can make different kind of plagues, but each one have weakness and even if we exploit the plague weakness, we can still cure ourselves with the potions or some debuff removal skills."
"However, we should be carefully not to get infected too much."
"He will probably use plagues to scare people while he himself will do the killing."
"But the plague itself will be annoying and probably something annoying if its left unattended."
"So, with that being said, we need to find the Doctor as soon as possible and kill him, before the spreads way too much plague around."
"…."
"Huh. You did your research?" – said the heavily armored player as he finished off the two headed monkey.
"Well, considering the recent event regarding his attack, who wouldn't?" – said Trick as she retrieved her arrows off the gorilla corpse.
"He really pissed off that Phantasia guy and if you haven't heard, this guy had also posted an bounty over the Doctor head where the reward is an legendary item that Phantasia will make for you."
"That Phantasia guy is also apparently one of the best craftsman in the game, even though he haven't registered into the game ranking yet as well."
"Not only that, he is the first player that had made an legendary item and legendary armor set in the game, so there is an good chance he could have obtained some titles related to crafting. Maybe even that would slightly increase his chances of crafting legendary item?"
"Not only that, but having some connection to that kind of guy would be extremely beneficial for us."
"Like the Blue Diamonds. They had Phantasia made some sort of miniguns for them and they are now shredding through the people and monsters on their way."
"There is no mistaking it that those guns are Phantasia doing and what do you think would happened if we had that guy create some items for us?"
"Hell, now we have even more reason to hunt down that Doctor."
"Anyway, where are we?"
"Hm…. We are getting somewhat close to the area where the Doctor was suppose have been before he killed her. It should- "
"The hell is this?!" – shouted the player from afar, cutting off the heavily armored player.
"!"
"Back away!" – shouted the heavily armored player as he noticed the green smoke.
"Shit. I think we found some of the Doctor 'tracks'."
"Yea, but the question is, where is our culprit?" – asked Trick.
"…."
"He isn't here." – said Trick after an moment of pause.
"Your skill?" – asked heavily armored player.
"Yea. Only some monsters came up, but I don't think those are his monsters and just some random monsters."
"!"
"Wait. I picked up something." – said Trick as she approached the green smoke and used an skill to look through the smoke, noticing the barrel like device.
"…."
"I see the thing that girl told us about." – said Trick.
"And I think its one of those plague barrel things she warned us about."
"…. I think the range of the smoke isn't that long."
"Huh? Its not? Then shouldn't we see few more of these devices scattered then?" – asked heavily armored player.
"Well, he doesn't need to. Remember, its not just simple poison but an plague. An plague that can infect people and cause them to infect other people. This also includes monsters."
"So I think he only wants some idiots or some random monsters get infected and they would the job for him."
"Yikes. That is nasty." – said heavily armored player.
"Still, he should have been somewhere nearby. She did made Doctor run back here."
"But do you really think he would stay here? He doesn't have any reasons." – said Trick.
"Then should we split up? We should find him quickly this way." – suggested heavily armored player.
"No. Too risky. That Doctor guy isn't definitely weakling and if somebody encounters him, they would 100% die." – said Trick.
"There are also some rankers on this floor and pretty much its battle royal here. In short, splitting up is the worst possible thing we can do."
"…."
"Then…. What do we do?" – asked heavily armored player. Explore more stories at My Virtual Library Empire
"I know that we cannot let that Doctor guy on the loose, or the entire floor will be affected by the plague, but how do we find that guy anyway?"
"Our little informant got killed and she was our only way of tailing the Doctor."
"And I doubt your detection skill will be able to find him, since it doesn't have an infinity range."
"Tch. Yea. That is the problem." – said Trick.
"Well, I have my other skill, but then again, I don't know if it would in the current situation."
"Oh, right you have that…. Wait, wouldn't it work then?" – asked heavily armored player.
"It would, but the problem is that there are too many people wondering around on this floor. Unless we got lucky and find him in the location where he was just in, then forget it."
"But again, if we leave this bastard alone, it could end up badly, so we will have to do the search anyway, even if it means it could get annoying or complicated along the way."
(Shit. What do we do?) – though Trick.
(Wondering around the floor is our only plan?)
(We don't know with path he took after dealing with our informant…. But splitting up is suicide.)
(Should we just ignore him? But if we do that, then he would spread the plague around and we would be getting infected non stop and can we waste so much healing skills and potions nonstop?)
(Wouldn't the better option be just leave this floor?)
"…"
(Nah. At this rate the Blue Diamond or the Sky Wrath guild will be able to beat the floor 7 before us…. Still, it could also be an opportunity.)
(If somebody like the Blue Diamond guild or the Sky Wrath guild would get infected and would be forced to fight the Doctor, we could join in the fight, kill Doctor, get the bounty for his head and stop him spreading the plague, while also getting rid of the competition and stealing their keys.)
(So hunting down the Doctor does seem like an thing that would still benefit us a lot.)
"…Hm…"
"Tch. We are continue our hunt." – said Trick.
"Get your asses up everybody. We are not giving up on hunting bastard down."
"Move it."
[Meanwhile somewhere else on the floor 6.]
"…"
(Is somebody talking about me?) – though Phantasia as he left the boss room.
(…. Meh. Might been my imagination, or somebody discovered the plague and… Never mind.)
(Anyway, 2 keys obtained. F7 and F6…. Well, technically 4 keys. I killed two groups of some randoms and they had two F7 keys… Well, things can't be easy, eh? Oh well, I can maybe just sell them later one, before the people I killed will reveal that the 'black knight' is the Doctor.)
(Anyway, lets deploy another one.) – though the Doctor as he took out another plague barrel device and put it down right in front of the boss room, before then activating it.
(Okay. This should do it.)
(But man, the hell?)
(Not only there are more monsters and stuff, but it seems that the labyrinth size got somewhat increased as well?)
(I mean, it did took me way more time to find another boss room.)
(True, each boss room is scattered randomly, but usually they have somewhat same distance between each one. However, this time I needed to travel even more distance to get to another boss room, heck, I even have my maps for comparison…. Does that mean that the entire floor 6 and other from now on will be much bigger?)
(Wow. Now I know more reasons why the ranker guilds couldn't beat the floor 7 yet. Gathering the keys on this floor must have been an giant pain in the ass and that obviously makes people even way more eager to kill each other.)
(Did the developers made this place so that the people will kill each other?)
(Wow… That is quite sadistic.)
(Oh well.)
(Its suits me!) – though Phantasia as started wandering through the dungeon floor once again.
"…."
"…."
"…."
"!"
"Boss!" – shouted the player.
"Look!"
"…."
"Nice." – said Trick as she spotted the barrel device from afar.
"There is barely an smoke here…. Meaning he just have activated it!"
"This bastards must have just left!"
"Find him!"
What do you think?
