Chapter 1320: Section 1321 Knight Sabel

Chapter 1320: Section 1321 Knight Sabel

As a former judge, Sir Sabel naturally had past interactions with Lyon, and although he didn’t know where Tullas had found Lyon, he had to admit that Lyon was indeed skilled.

Moreover, Lyon was very humble. Even though he was brought by Tullas, he didn’t possess Tullas’s ostentatious personality. In the past, Sir Sabel had even taught Lyon some combat techniques.

All in all, Sir Sabel thought highly of Lyon.

Now that Tullas had brought two other people, Lyon he could recognize, but who were these two strangers that suddenly appeared?

“If they are just spectators, that’s fine,” Sir Sabel thought to himself, “but if Sabel lets them act as judges, he would first have to weigh their capabilities.”

While Sir Sabel pondered this, Lyon had already led Angel and Sanders to the front row of the judges’ area.

...

The judges’ area was right next to the arena and was even intentionally elevated to get a clear view of every movement on the stage.

Currently, there was only one person seated in the judges’ area—a woman dressed in a luxurious golden gown.

This noblewoman was none other than the current City Lord of Originheart City, Monroe.

Tullas did not pay any attention to Monroe but carefully and respectfully set up the seats. If it were only Angel, Tullas knew very well Angel’s character would not care about formalities, and Tullas would have likely been casual about it. But this time, Angel’s mentor was also present… Although Tullas did not know much about Sanders, during his time at the Dead’s Church, Angel had shown him the directory of famous individuals in the Wizards’ Realm, and the description of Sanders had deeply shaken him.

Southern Domain’s God of War! Illusion Master! And the real genius who ascended to the top of the Pyramid in an incredibly short time!

As Tullas cautiously arranged the seats, Sir Sabel approached with a grim face.

He was about to question Tullas, but before he could act, City Lord Monroe, who was seated in the judges’ area, approached the newcomers with a careful and respectful look in her eyes that Sir Sabel couldn’t quite understand, and she stood by the side, almost like a servant.

At this sight, Sir Sabel was stunned.

Or rather, it wasn’t only Sir Sabel who was taken aback—all the spectators witnessing the scene were filled with questions.

It was well-known to everyone that at the top of Originheart City’s hierarchy stood a man referred to as “Lord Tyson.” Almost everyone present had been brought to Originheart City by Lord Tyson.

Below Lord Tyson was City Lord Monroe.

Below City Lord Monroe, the hierarchy was based on functional roles and other statuses.

Of course, one individual was particularly unique in this hierarchy—Sheriff Tullas. By rights, Sheriff Tullas’s authority should be far less than that of City Lord Monroe, but Tullas never cared about Monroe’s opinion, and Monroe also seemed unwilling to provoke Tullas.

It was rumored that Tullas had a profound relationship with Lord Tyson. However, this rumor shattered when Tullas was frequently scolded angrily by Lord Tyson.

So far, Tullas’s identity remained one of Originheart City’s unsolved mysteries.

Now, with both City Lord Monroe and Tullas showing respect to the newcomers, everyone was incredulous, speculating about their identities.

However, without further clues, the speculation would likely end in yet another unsolved mystery.

But not everyone was unfamiliar with Angel. For instance, the two brothers at one side of the spectators’ stands—Labu and Lado—had met Angel before. They had personally seen Lord Tyson, whom they most admired in their eyes, treat Angel with utmost respect.

Apart from Labu and Lado, Daluc also knew Angel.

Most of the others had been brought into Originheart City from reality by Lord Tyson. However, Daluc knew that not only could Lord Tyson bring people to Originheart City, but Angel could as well.

Initially, Daluc came to the city with Angel’s help.

During the war between the Goldfinch and Hailan, Daluc was a refugee who, along with his grandfather, fled to Waterford. His grandfather’s body was oozing pus, and Daluc thought he was ill, seeking to enter the city to find a doctor but was stopped by the guards. Luckily, Angel passed by and spoke for them, which allowed them entry into the city.

However, Angel said at the time that it wasn’t his grandfather who was sick—it was Daluc himself.

Indeed, after some tests, it turned out Daluc was the one who was ill, afflicted with an incurable twilight disease. In his dazed and bewildered state, Angel brought him and his grandfather to Originheart City.

Therefore, Daluc had a profound impression of Angel and he was the person Daluc admired the most in all of Originheart City.

In the end, the people who knew Angel were in the minority, but City Lord Monroe’s demeanor was too strange.

Sir Sabel had previously thought of stepping forward to gauge their caliber, but now he was hesitating.

After some thought, he walked over to Lyon’s side and asked in a low voice, “Do you know them?”

Lyon saw that Sir Sabel had approached and didn’t hide anything, nodding, “He’s my brother Angel, as for the other one… he is Angel’s mentor.”

Lyon’s response left Sir Sabel somewhat puzzled. He knew the other was Lyon’s brother, but what was his status? Why would he elicit such a reverent attitude from City Lord Monroe?

You should know, when the Monroe City Lord saw Lyon before, he didn’t show much regard.

While Sabel was still in a daze and hesitating, Tullas pointed at him and said, “Today, in front of the lord, I must defeat you! I’ll show you who is the man who dominates the Easternmost Sea! No matter how loud a Legendary Knight may shout, it’s useless. You should know that even the legendary Pirate Redbeard was defeated at my hands!”

Sabel: “…” The man who dominates the Easternmost Sea, what kind of ridiculous title is that? Who wants to contend with you for such a title?

Tullas’s cringe-worthy and juvenile declaration drew cheers from the audience. Even the speculation about Angel and the others’ identities was temporarily put aside.

Angel watched expressionlessly, noticing that Tullas, after hearing the cheers, had already started to interact with the audience, exuding a confident demeanor.

He really wanted to pretend not to be acquainted with Tullas, but after Tullas interacted with the audience, he quickly came over, looking like he needed Angel’s approval.

Angel tugged at the corner of his mouth and dryly said to Tullas, “Hmm.”

Then Angel looked towards Sabel.

Sabel, as mentioned by that “couple” before, was an old man with a white beard, a goatee almost touching his chest, and wrinkled skin; although his face looked old, his body was straight and robust, youthful if not for the face.

Sabel, unlike Tullas, wasn’t frivolous or showy. He just stood there, his presence naturally carrying a sense of quiet calm.

But this calm was not a deathly stillness, rather a simplicity and tranquility that comes with the passage of years.

Like a sheathed rapier. Reluctant to draw blood, yet the blood once spilled still emanates an undeniable awe.

Compared to Tullas, whose age was indeterminable, Sabel truly resembled an elder who had washed away all frivolity.

When Angel looked at Sabel, the latter was also gazing back at him.

Angel nodded slightly at Sabel, his lips barely moving.

A voice suddenly appeared in his ear. Sabel was startled and looked around, only to find that no one else had noticed the sound.

Sabel could only return his gaze to Angel, who nodded slightly again, and then took his seat.

By now, Sabel naturally understood that the voice transmission he unexpectedly received must have been the work of this young man.

“Fight freely, try to take down Tullas’s edge.” This was the message Sabel received.

Able to transmit a message out of thin air, Sabel speculated inwardly, could this brother of Lyon, Angel, be one of the Transcendents?

Sabel had seen Transcendents before, even fought one, so he wasn’t completely unaware of them.

He had also guessed before that behind Originheart City there must be the work of a Transcendent. Only a Transcendent could create such a unique world, such a marvelous city, and people who are almost immortal.

However, City Lord Tyson had never shown so-called Extraordinary Power. It was Tyson’s weapon given to Tullas that seemed to have Transcendent qualities. But, Tullas would not use that weapon with Transcendent qualities in a duel.

Now, it was the first time Sabel had seen a human using Extraordinary Power here.

When the Monroe City Lord faced Tyson, he never was so cautious… Could it be, Angel’s identity is related to the “Master of the New World” as rumored?

“Master of the New World” was something Shanni inadvertently revealed at the establishment of Originheart City. Though Shanni stopped saying this later, the old men from that time did not forget.

Moreover, Shanni and Adar were Tyson’s family. What Shanni said should not be false.

While Sabel’s thoughts were in turmoil, an elegant female voice said, “Captain Sabel, it’s almost time. Tullas has already made his entrance.”

The speaker was the Monroe City Lord.

Sabel came back to his senses, only then noticing that Tullas was already on the stage, interacting with the audience again.

Sabel nodded at Monroe, then glanced at where Angel was and said softly, “I’ll take it seriously.”

With that, Sabel turned and stepped onto the stage.

Different from all previous battles, with every step that Sabel took, it was like he was a sheathed sword releasing its seals, his aura becoming increasingly sharp.

Tullas, who had been frolicking with the audience, felt the presence behind him, and turned his head. Seeing Sabel’s condition, his expression sobered.

Without a word, Sabel ascended the stage and gestured lightly with his hand, and the Knight’s Rapier attached to his waist was drawn.

Tullas also reined in his flamboyance, his expression more serious than ever.

The battle was about to erupt.
