Chapter 1344: Section 1345: The Frost Flower and the Moon Chapter

Near Metheor, the area was adorned with elegantly arranged tables and chairs and a noble-style canopy. Even two trees had been planted nearby with a swing hanging from them, swaying in the breeze.

All of these were left behind by Eulica.

After Eulica had left, these decorative furnishings remained.

Now, Angel and Sanders were sitting opposite each other here.

The news Sanders brought back was rather pleasing. Although he had not found a Magic Rune Scroll to increase the luck attribute, he did find a type of gentle Demonic Material that was very suitable for nurturing the flesh and did not conflict with the Water of Life Extraction.

There were still several difficulties to overcome before Jon’s issue could be resolved, such as the scarcity of Abyssal Inscriptions and a lack of manpower.

...

Therefore, before the problem could be completely resolved, nurturing Jon’s physical body was key.

Finding Demonic Materials that did not conflict with the Water of Life Extraction was indeed quite good news.

Sanders paused, “In addition, I’ve received some information concerning you.”

“Concerning me?” Angel didn’t seem very surprised as by now “Glowing City Night Talk” had already been released, and there should be no shortage of people interested in him.

Such attention might continue for a long time. Perhaps not until Lord Monty confirms that the Demon God’s True Spirit has truly perished will the fervor begin to wane. But to completely subside, it could still be a long wait.

“It’s a message that spread internally within the Frostmoon Alliance.” Sanders took out a magazine from the button of his sleeve and handed it to Angel, “Take a look for yourself.”

“Infinite Plane Pioneering Record,” Angel read aloud, “I remember this is supposed to be a journal, and it’s not time for its publication, is it?”

“Like this issue of ‘Glowing City Night Talk,’ this is a thematic supplement, dedicated to the report of the recent events in the Abyss,” Sanders paused. “Since there are some questions yet to be answered, about the Abyssal Demon God and Odeclass, this magazine hasn’t been officially released. It’s just a draft copy Sinafa gave me.”

A draft copy?

Angel flipped through it, and indeed there were many blank spaces inside. By the time he finished browsing, several minutes had passed.

Most of the content had a high degree of overlap with “Glowing City Night Talk,” which was inevitable since “Glowing City Night Talk” was published first and backed by actual evidence, with very precise details. The Frostmoon Alliance couldn’t be vague.

After finishing the magazine, Angel also understood the news Sanders mentioned that pertained to him.

The last section of this draft copy recorded a statement from Lord Monty.

In the magazine, Lord Monty responded to a previous promise; while in Lassudral, he had personally said he would provide a reward to Angel, including the two highest accolades of the Frostmoon Alliance — the Frost’s Bloom and the Moon Chapter.

Lord Monty stated in the draft copy that this promise still stood, and Angel could redeem the reward anytime at the Frostmoon Alliance headquarters.

During his time in Lassudral, Angel had never truly stepped onto Frostmoon’s ice floes, so he was actually quite unaware of this matter, feeling a bit puzzled after reading it.

Sanders briefly described the situation in Lassudral before introducing the so-called highest rewards of Frostmoon Alliance: “The Frost’s Bloom and the Moon Chapter represent two different types of accolades of Frostmoon…”

As Sanders continued, Angel came to understand the significance of this reward.

The Frost’s Bloom actually referred to the eligibility to enter one of Frostmoon’s treasure sanctuaries. Within this sanctuary lay various magical materials collected by Frostmoon over the years from conquering the Pan-Dimensional Planes! With the Frost’s Bloom reward, one could freely choose and take away an item from within.

“It’s rumored that some Mysterious Objects covered in dust are also in there. However, no one has been able to identify them.”

As for the other reward — the Moon Chapter — it was a privilege granted to the recipient to enter a secret library of stored knowledge and peruse one topic of knowledge.

“Both rewards are very impressive, enough to make even True Knowledge Wizards envious. Especially the Moon Chapter; the knowledge hidden by Frostmoon includes that left by past Legendary Wizards, and the scope is very broad, certainly containing useful information for oneself.” After Sanders finished explaining, he looked at Angel:

“Although Lord Monty has returned to the Abyss and hasn’t directly mentioned in this draft copy that he wants to see you, the implication of this award is indeed an invitation to meet him, and not for him to seek you out, but for you to take the initiative to find him.”

“What do you think? Are you planning to go, or not?”

Angel had realized upon seeing the message that Lord Monty was tempting him with a reward, inviting him into a trap. Moreover, this was a promise Lord Monty had himself made in Lassudral, leaving no room for fault.

But as to whether or not to go… Angel didn’t hesitate for a moment, nodding decisively.

“Go, of course I’ll go!”

Sanders guessed that Angel would go, because although it was a blatant enticement, it didn’t state that Angel must go alone. As a core member of the Barbarian Cave, Angel could use this as leverage to bring powerful individuals with him, such as Lord Rhein. In that case, Lord Monty naturally wouldn’t resort to overly aggressive methods, nor would he cause harm to Angel’s safety.

Even though Sanders expected Angel’s agreement, Angel’s prompt response was still somewhat unexpected.

And for Angel, the reason he reacted so swiftly was actually very simple —

The Frost’s Bloom and the Moon Chapter were both rewards being offered to him for free!

Especially the Frost Essence, it’s simply too tempting.

Having just listened to the introduction of Frost Essence, Angel’s mind immediately sprang up with an idea: since the treasured secret realm contains so many spoils from the Frostmoon’s years of pioneering the Pan-Dimensional Plane, he could use the Dream Conch to bring all the items into the Wilderness of Dreams, and then take his time to research them.

Moreover, since one cannot bring Mysterious Objects into the Wilderness of Dreams… he could also use this to determine which item was a dust-covered Mysterious Object.

When the time came for him to leave Frost Essence, he could simply pick out and take away a Mysterious Object, wouldn’t that be a clear gain?

So, just by considering the reward from Frost Essence alone, Angel decided to agree.

Not to mention there was another Moon Chapter, which also made Angel quite covetous. To a wizard, knowledge is of utmost importance. The ability to select knowledge at will from the deep reserves of the Wizards’ Alliance secret library is simply a temptation that no wizard could resist.

After listening to Angel’s inner monologue, Sanders was momentarily stunned. He hadn’t expected that even while he was still contemplating why Angel had agreed so readily, Angel was already thinking about the Mysterious Objects of the Frostmoon.

Not just eyeing one, but wanting to sweep through the entire Frostmoon’s secret vault and study at his leisure in the Wilderness of Dreams.

Sanders let out a chuckle, but he quite agreed with Angel’s way of thinking, as it was indeed feasible. Studying Transcendent objects from different planes would be of great help for Angel’s path in Alchemy.

“However, although I plan to go, it’s not right now,” Angel shrugged his shoulders. He knew very well that if he went now, he would only be manipulated and would not have a say of his own, “I plan to go after my promotion.”

“Promotion? Are you so confident of success?” Sanders raised an eyebrow.

Angel couldn’t give a definite answer to this question.

Whether his promotion would be successful was still an unknown. But after Angel had solidified the Gate Model, he had not only seen the path, but he had also felt the swell of the Magical Core.

Up to this point, that swelling feeling had not only not subsided, but it was also increasing with each day of Angel’s meditation. This meant that Angel’s energy had reached the level needed for promotion.

After years of development, wizard civilization had already established the rigid requirements for advancing to become an Official Wizard, which are that energy, body, and soul must all reach a certain standard.

Angel’s energy had already reached the promotional level; his soul and body had not only reached the standard but far surpassed it.

So, according to Angel’s own estimation, the possibility of his success was very high.

However, nothing is absolute, and moreover, this was a hurdle that had stopped countless Transcendents. Angel was confident, true, but how it actually would be, one would only know after truly crossing that threshold.

Seeing that Angel remained silent with a smile, Sanders then said, “Have you made the necessary preparations before promotion, for instance, Witchcraft Slot?”

Angel nodded: “It’s already been solidified.”

Sanders thought to himself: As expected.

“The Trick Model you solidified, is it your own creation?”

Sanders spoke calmly, yet his words made Angel’s heart skip a beat: How does the Mentor know? Could it be that the Law Creation Phenomenon, however slight, was indeed perceived by the Mentor?

While Angel was contemplating, Sanders provided the answer.

Not just Sanders had perceived it, but nearly everyone at the top tier in the Southern Domain had a general idea. Although they didn’t know who the creator of the law was, they all knew that someone in the Whisker Sea had created a law.

Sanders had just made a simple deduction, and with the information obtained from Lyon in the Wilderness of Dreams, he could confirm that the Law Creation Phenomenon was Angel’s doing.

“I thought the Law Creation Phenomenon was so subtle that others couldn’t perceive it,” Angel muttered. That Law Creation Phenomenon was even less significant compared to his initial Alchemy Phenomenon.

“Although the Law Creation Phenomenon did not diffuse widely, it did evoke the advent of the world consciousness, which is rare.” A True Knowledge Wizard, with a deeper understanding of the rules, would naturally discover the ‘insignificant’ Law Creation Phenomenon in the Whisker Sea.

However, as Angel mentioned, the phenomenon was really too trivial and did not truly catch much attention.

“I gather that the law you created is what you’ve fixed into the Witchcraft Slot?”

Angel did not deny it.

“You still don’t plan to reveal it?”

Angel kept his lips sealed.

Sanders raised an eyebrow. Previously, when asking about what Trick Angel intended to solidify into his Witchcraft Slot, Angel had been mysteriously silent. It was quite unexpected that even after solidifying it, he still did not plan to disclose it.

Sanders didn’t intend to force Angel to speak, and instead said with a smile, “You don’t have to tell me… By the way, I don’t know how your training has been progressing while I was away.”

“Ever since the Abyssal Ice Valley, we haven’t sparred. Now’s a good opportunity for me to test your progress.”
