Chapter 1360: Section 1361: Manshi Magic Material Street
“Indeed, there are a few things,” Angel said, the corners of his mouth twitching slightly as his soft voice, wrapped in energy, reached both Nausicaa and Shan’s ears.
Lyon was puzzled why Angel had stopped speaking halfway through.
Just as Lyon was about to turn his head to look at Angel, he suddenly noticed that Nausicaa and Shan had shifted their gazes from Angel to himself.
Their looks were full of scrutiny.
“He is my brother, Lyon Pat. He has just stepped into the Wizards’ Realm, belonging to the bloodline side among the three major structures,” Angel introduced Lyon’s profile in simple terms at this moment.
Lyon was baffled; why had they suddenly started introducing him? While he was full of question marks, Nausicaa across from him nodded, “I understand now.”
Shan also sized up Lyon and casually nodded, “Since it’s something Angel has entrusted us with, of course, there’s no problem.”
As her voice fell, Shan straightened up and patted her flat chest, “Don’t worry, as long as he sticks with this princess, there will definitely be no issues. I will absolutely look out for him!”
Hearing this, Lyon couldn’t help but express his confusion, “What on earth are you talking about?”
Nausicaa brushed aside the strands of hair on her cheek and exhaled a puff of smoke, “It’s better to let your brother explain to you.”
Angel then turned his head to look at Lyon by his side, with a hint of guilt in his eyes, and whispered his intentions.
The story begins last night.
Due to the anomaly at Black Castle station, they didn’t need to wait for a response from Black Castle, which meant they could leave for Black Castle at any time.
The matter was urgent, and Sanders thought it best to leave within the next two days.
Angel’s original plan was to stay in Sky Mechanical City for a while, where he could first help Lyon make some friends, expand his network, and watch a part of his competitions in the Sky Tower, trying to help him identify his shortcomings.
Once everything was on track, and Black Castle had sent word, he and Sanders would leave for Black Castle.
But plans always fall behind changes. Unexpectedly, an anomaly occurred at Black Castle, which hadn’t been in contact for quite a while.
Thus, the previous plan was disrupted, and his visit today to see Nausicaa was not only to expand his network, but also to hope that Nausicaa and Shan, would take extra care of Lyon after he left Sky Mechanical City.
Upon hearing this, Lyon finally came to a realization.
He laughed at himself for a moment, recalling that Angel had previously mentioned that he might need to compete alone in Sky Mechanical City.
“Since I knew about this and agreed to participate in the novice competition, naturally I was prepared,” Lyon sighed helplessly, “You’ve made arrangements too obviously, making it seem like you are the elder brother.”
“Don’t worry, since I’ve chosen this path, I am fully prepared,” Lyon also knew that the way of the wizard is a lonely path. If he couldn’t even take the first step, how could he be independent, let alone reach a much farther future?
Angel nodded, affirming what Lyon had said, but there was still a bit of concern in his heart.
If Lyon had joined the Witcher Organization through normal means and then studied and trained in the Witcher Organization before participating in the novice competition, he wouldn’t have worried.
Because the Transcendent world is an extremely chaotic and dangerous circle, many things need to be established a bit at a time within conventional wisdom and understanding. Sometimes, even a careless word could lead to misfortune. Hence, going step by step might not be the best but is the quickest way to adapt to life in the Wizards’ Realm.
However, Lyon becoming a Talented One was an accident.
Even though he was already a Transcendent, his stay on the Old Earth Continent for several years meant his thinking pattern still tended to be that of an ordinary person. This was his first real contact with the Wizards’ Realm, and even though Angel had crammed some of the Wizards’ Realm’s unspoken rules into Lyon, he still wasn’t quite at ease.
After all, Lyon was his only living relative in the world.
“Are you still living in the manor under Illusion Demon’s protection?” Nausicaa suddenly asked.
Angel nodded.
“Then let Lyon stay at Fangling Hall. We’re staying at Fangling Hall now,” Nausicaa said, “Now that Illusion Demon, and you too, have become the focus, it’s better for Lyon to move away from the limelight sooner rather than later.”
“Moreover, since Lyon is going to train in the Sky Tower, I can also discuss combat skills with him.”
Angel glanced at Lyon, who was beaming with excitement. He didn’t care about being the focus; it was purely the mention of “combat skills exchange” by Nausicaa that had made his heart swell with anticipation.
Seeing Lyon’s reaction, Angel understood his thoughts and nodded at Nausicaa, “Then I’ll be troubling you.”
Nausicaa removed her right glove, revealing her mechanical arm.
She said nothing, but her intention was clear.
When Angel gave her the mechanical arm initially, he never expected anything in return. Her response carried no ulterior motives.
So, there was no question of any trouble.
Angel smiled and, following Nausicaa’s arm gesture, briefly moved on from the topic, “By the way, you should be able to choose to have an arm transplant by now, right? Why, do you plan to keep wearing this mechanical arm?”
Nausicaa nodded indifferently, “Although I could indeed change the arm, for now, my Electro-Light Dome requires the Spiral Magic Pattern in the mechanical arm to work, so I have no plans to replace it for the time being.”
“Moreover, you just saw my match with the Light Slug, right? Sometimes, using this mechanical arm can bring unexpected victories.”
Nausicaa was quite adept at using it, perhaps she might replace it in the future, but there was no need for now.
“Since that’s the case, I’ll check later if the mechanical arm has any damage and also help you improve it a bit,” Angel said.
Nausicaa didn’t refuse; although the mechanical arm wasn’t damaged, if it could be improved, that was naturally for the better.
After chatting briefly, the time to rent the private arena arrived. They didn’t extend the rental but instead turned and left the Infinite Battle Tower.
Since Lyon was going to stay at the Fangling Hall, Nausicaa let Shan head back first to discuss accommodations with the owner of the Mukihara Bar,
Shan cast a reluctant glance at Angel, then turned her head and left.
Nausicaa then led Angel and Lyon to the most bustling district of the Sky Mechanical City—the business district.
“I noticed your expression was a bit strange when you talked to Shan about Serum. Did he undergo any changes after assimilating the Azure Bloodline?” Angel asked while they walked.
The Azure Bloodline was unknown in the Southern Domain, and there were no records of the changes that might occur upon assimilation.
Nausicaa shook her head, “What changes his bloodline may bring him, I don’t know yet; he hasn’t shown any.”
“Serum himself might not have changed, but…” As Nausicaa thought back to his Black Classic, she couldn’t help but feel a headache coming on, “Forget it, you’ll understand when you meet him.”
…
The business district of the Sky Mechanical City encompassed several major streets, with Nausicaa leading them to the deepest part.
Lyon was dazzled by the opulence of the district.
Various suspended pavilions, the colorful shops in patrolling airships, and places connected by ladders to different dimensional planes, all styles of architecture shone here, flourishing without clashing.
Although he had already been shocked by its prosperity when he first looked down upon the Sky Mechanical City, truly immersing oneself in the details of the city was even more astonishing.
At that moment, Lyon deeply felt that even though they lived in the same world, the gap between Transcendents and ordinary people was so vast.
Even just a city demonstrated the chasm between them, almost insurmountable.
Amid the dazzling sights, Lyon couldn’t help but wish, “If only Gru Town could be developed to be this prosperous.”
Lyon’s voice was very soft, but Angel heard it.
Transforming Gru Town to this extent was not an easy task. However, constructing such a city in the Wilderness of Dreams might not be too difficult.
Now that the experiments in Originheart City were starting to bear fruit, Angel himself had plans to build a new city.
It seemed unrealistic to drag the Sky Mechanical City into the Wilderness of Dreams using the Dream Conch, but building a Sky City within the Wilderness of Dreams with some cloud soil wasn’t too difficult.
While Angel was pondering, suddenly, beautiful music came from somewhere.
Simultaneously, Nausicaa stopped, “We’re here.”
Angel came back to his senses and looked up in front of him, a large sign came into view.
—— “Manshi Magic Material Street”
Angel was taken aback for a moment. This was the most glamorous and expensive street in the Sky Mechanical City, where precious magic materials from the Pan-Dimensional Plane and treasures out of the reach of common folks all converged.
Coming to the Sky Mechanical City, Angel had also planned to visit this place, but what he hadn’t expected was to come here at this time, in such an unexpected way.
“What is Serum doing here? Does he need to buy magic materials?” Angel asked, puzzled.
Nausicaa shook her head, “He doesn’t need to buy magic materials. The only reason he comes here is that… the customers who come to this street are usually very wealthy.”
Angel looked at Nausicaa with confusion, meaning Serum was doing business here?
Nausicaa said, “Hear that music?”
Angel nodded. The music surrounding his ears, coming from a saxophone. With his level of musical appreciation, this soothing and beautiful piece of music, played with such a high level of skill, could even be said to have reached a certain pinnacle in the art of saxophone playing.
The bustling marketplace, upon the rise of the music, gradually became quiet.
The pedestrians lightened their steps, fearing they might disturb the musician.
This alone spoke volumes.
“Let’s go. The sound of this music means Serum is nearby,” Nausicaa said, leading the way. Her steps, like those around her, had become much lighter.
What do you think?
