Warlock of Oceans: My Poseidon System

Chapter 485 485: Sixth Floor: The Chamber of Seven Seas (6)

The Crab Man retaliated with a sudden blast of water from its claw, forcing Jesua backward. She somersaulted through the water, her sword slicing through the debris as she stabilized herself. With a quick flick of her wrist, she hurled a dagger toward the creature's glowing eyes. The Crab Man swiped it aside with its claw, but Jesua was already moving, dashing in close with a burst of speed. She spun low, her sword arcing in a deadly curve, aiming for the joints where its carapace met the soft flesh beneath.

The Crab Man let out a guttural growl, bending the water to create a swirling shield around itself. Jesua's blade met resistance as it sliced through the spinning water, but she adjusted her angle, using the shield's momentum to vault over the creature's claw. She landed on its massive shoulder, driving her sword downward into the gap between its armor plates. The creature howled in pain, thrashing wildly to throw her off.

Sylus had positioned himself at the rear, keeping one Crab Man at bay with a series of calculated spells. This creature wielded a massive anchor like a flail, swinging it in wide arcs that sent shockwaves rippling through the water. Each swing was accompanied by a concentrated blast of water, designed to crush anything in its path. Sylus dodged the swings with quick, measured movements, his staff glowing as he summoned a barrier of ice to absorb the next incoming attack.

The anchor struck the ice shield with a deafening crack, shattering it into glittering shards. Sylus didn't wait for the Crab Man's follow-up. He raised his staff and conjured a spiraling vortex of water that encased the creature's legs, anchoring it in place. As the Crab Man struggled, Sylus released a bolt of lightning that arced through the water, striking the anchor and electrocuting the creature. The Crab Man writhed, its movements slowed by the paralyzing shock.

But the creature wasn't finished. It roared and bent the water around it, forcing Sylus's vortex to collapse. The anchor spun toward Sylus again, but he leapt backward, twisting his body to avoid the strike. With a quick incantation, he formed a shard of ice the size of a spear and hurled it toward the creature's chest. The shard struck true, piercing through the carapace and forcing the Crab Man to stumble.

"Jesua, keep them off me!" Sylus shouted, quickly preparing another spell to immobilize the second Crab Man advancing on him.

Cyrus faced a Crab Man nearly as large as himself, its mutated form bristling with jagged coral and glowing with a faint red hue. The creature's claws moved with incredible speed, slicing through the water in rapid, devastating strikes. Cyrus roared, meeting its blows with his own claws. Sparks flew as claw met claw, the sound echoing through the underwater cavern like thunder.

The Crab Man lunged, its massive claw snapping shut with enough force to split stone. Cyrus sidestepped, grabbing the creature's extended arm and twisting it with all his strength. The Crab Man screeched as its arm bent unnaturally, but it retaliated by swinging its free claw upward. Cyrus ducked, feeling the rush of water above him as the claw passed over his head.

Using his Leviathan instincts, Cyrus slammed his tail into the sand, creating a shockwave that sent the Crab Man reeling. He followed up with a ferocious uppercut, his claws glowing faintly as they tore into the creature's exposed underside. The Crab Man howled, bending the water to form a dense spike that shot toward Cyrus's chest.

Cyrus swatted the spike aside with his tail, his muscles flexing as he launched himself forward. He tackled the Crab Man, driving it into a coral formation with a bone-crushing impact. His claws tore into its carapace, sending shards of coral and shell flying. The Crab Man lashed out with its claws, catching Cyrus across the arm and drawing blood, but Cyrus barely flinched. He grabbed the creature's head and slammed it against the coral, his Leviathan power surging through him.

As the fight raged on, the trio began to work together seamlessly. Jesua moved in tandem with Sylus, her swift strikes keeping the Crab Men distracted while Sylus unleashed his magic. Cyrus created openings with his raw power, smashing through defenses and forcing the Crab Men into vulnerable positions. Whenever one of them was cornered, the others would step in, using their unique abilities to shift the tide of battle.

Jesua leapt over a swinging claw, landing beside Sylus as he unleashed a wave of ice spikes. The spikes struck the Crab Men, forcing them to retreat momentarily. Cyrus seized the opportunity, charging forward with a roar and slamming into one of the creatures, pinning it to the ground.

"We're not letting up!" Jesua shouted, her voice sharp with determination.

The battle continued, the water around them a chaotic swirl of magic, debris, and relentless motion. The trio fought with everything they had, determined to overcome the towering, mutated Crab Men.

The battle raged on, the trio in sync as they faced off against the now massive Crab Men. But suddenly, a deep rumbling vibrated through the sand beneath them. The ground shifted violently, and new figures emerged from the shifting dunes—dozens of Fishmen, their bodies slick and glistening, their eyes glowing with the same eerie bioluminescence as the Crab Men. These Fishmen were no ordinary adversaries. They wielded a variety of pirate weapons—rusty cutlasses, jagged harpoons, and vicious looking tridents—and each one had the same ability to control the water around them, their bodies rippling with currents that distorted the flow.

The trio immediately recognized the new threat, realizing that their tactics would have to adapt rapidly. The water in the chamber grew more turbulent, the sand shifting as the Fishmen advanced with predatory precision.

Jesua reacted first, her agile form darting between the monstrous Crab Men and the newly emerging Fishmen. Her blade danced through the water like a streak of silver lightning as she launched herself into the fray. A Fishman swung a trident at her, its serrated points aimed at her chest. Jesua ducked under the thrust, her sword lashing out to disarm the creature, slicing through the haft of the trident with a sharp crack.

But the Fishman wasn't finished. With a snarl, it unleashed a powerful surge of water, creating a whirlpool that threatened to pull Jesua under. Her body was swept up in the current, but she twisted in the water, kicking off the wall to launch herself out of the maelstrom just in time to avoid being dragged into the depths. She landed lightly, twisting in the water like a dancer, and before the Fishman could recover, she was on top of it, her sword flashing in a precise arc that severed its head clean off.

As she spun to face the next wave, another Fishman lunged at her, its arms wielding a jagged cutlass. Jesua parried the blow with her sword, her muscles straining with the force. She used the momentum to pivot around the Fishman's attack, bringing her blade down in a swift, controlled strike that severed one of its arms. The Fishman howled in agony but tried to retaliate with a water blast aimed at her face. Jesua ducked, the blast narrowly missing her, and she spun again, using the opening to land a fatal blow to its torso.

Sylus was facing down two Fishmen at once. He gritted his teeth, the cold water swirling around him as he raised his staff high. With a wave of his hand, he sent a pulse of water toward one of the Fishmen, forcing it to stumble backward. The other Fishman lunged with a harpoon, its weapon aimed directly at his chest. Sylus twisted his body, narrowly avoiding the strike, and then conjured a powerful blast of ice from his staff. The ice shards struck the Fishman's body, encasing its arms in frozen spikes.

Sylus pressed the attack, his voice calm but firm as he whispered an incantation, conjuring an icy storm. The water around him shifted as sharp icicles began to form, swirling around him like a deadly blizzard. He hurled one of the shards directly at the other Fishman, embedding it in its shoulder. The Fishman screamed and staggered, giving Sylus the chance to freeze its legs in place with another burst of ice. With the creature immobilized, Sylus drew a deep breath and charged forward, smashing his staff into the Fishman's skull, finishing it off with a swift blow.

But more Fishmen were coming. Sylus took a step back, his mind calculating quickly as the water around him churned violently. He realized the best course of action was to keep the Fishmen at a distance using his ice magic, controlling the battlefield with frozen spikes and walls of ice.

He threw another blast of ice toward a group of advancing Fishmen, freezing the water in their path and slowing their movement. As they struggled to free themselves, he took the opportunity to form a barrier of ice around him, trapping any nearby enemies within a frozen prison.
