Chapter 80
After a twelve-hour flight aboard a private jet, they landed in a snowy city in the southern hemisphere.
As the plane’s door slowly opened, a crisp cold air greeted everyone. Before their eyes lay a snow-covered wonderland, adorned in silver and white, breathtakingly beautiful.
Inspired by Cheng Xun and Yan Xi’s earlier romantic rendezvous, Director Yu had a sudden stroke of genius and decided to choose Queenstown, a city in country X, as the final destination for the show *Travel*. The plane crossed vast parts of the globe, transitioning from the scorching summer to a frozen winter wonderland, providing a striking contrast for the audience.
The moment the guests set foot on the snowy ground, the livestream comments buzzed with activity:
【It’s snowing! Too bad Cheng Xun isn’t here—no sweet, romantic vibes this time.】
【You’re behind the times! Cheng Xun and Yan Xi already broke up ages ago!】
【This snow looks stunning. It’s boiling hot where I am—I’m tempted to plan a trip there myself!】
【Director Yu is so sly. Since we can only follow Ms. Qingyu’s livestream now, let’s just treat it like our personal vacation!】
Zhou Qingyu and Yan Xi stepped off the plane, greeted by a snow-terrain SUV arranged by Pei Yubai. The vehicle was outfitted with specialized snow tires for optimal winter driving.
Zhou Qingyu frowned. “I don’t like cars like this.”
In her eyes, the SUV looked rugged and unrefined; she preferred vehicles that were elegant and luxurious.
Pei Yubai explained in a flattering tone, “The roads are slippery, and a stretched Lincoln limousine wouldn’t be suitable for snowy conditions. This SUV is much easier to handle.”
Hearing this, Zhou Qingyu reluctantly agreed.
The flight attendants helped load their luggage into the SUV’s trunk. Zhou Qingyu climbed into the back seat, and Pei Yubai naturally followed, trying to sit beside her.
Zhou Qingyu didn’t hesitate to snap at him, “Why are you squeezing in here? You reek of sweat—get lost!”
Pei Yubai’s smile froze awkwardly, especially with the production crew’s cameras rolling nearby. Clearly, his dignity had taken a hit.
【Serves him right!】
【Honestly, it’s so generous of Ms. Qingyu to even forgive Pei Yubai and let him be the travel advisor!】
【Exactly. A guy like that should be ditched for good!】
【Every time I see this jerk, I feel nauseous.】
Ignoring the sour expression on Pei Yubai’s face, Zhou Qingyu turned to call out to Yan Xi, who was happily taking pictures outside the SUV. “What are you standing around for? Get in! I’m freezing!”
Yan Xi froze for a moment, then grinned ear-to-ear, eagerly climbing into the back seat of the SUV. “I thought you didn’t want to sit with me!”
Zhou Qingyu lifted her chin haughtily. “I just think you’re cleaner than Pei Yubai. At least you don’t stink of sweat—don’t read too much into it!”
Yan Xi chuckled. “Got it~”
For filming convenience, the front passenger seat was reserved for the production crew’s director, leaving Pei Yubai to hail a taxi, trailing behind Zhou Qingyu’s SUV.
The SUV steadily proceeded along the wet roads. To avoid skidding, it drove at a cautious speed.
Half an hour later, they reached the accommodations booked by Director Yu.
Though referred to as a “guesthouse,” it was actually a luxurious hot spring resort. The expansive property featured numerous villa clusters, each with its own private hot spring pool.
Zhou Qingyu, whose family owned similar hot spring resorts, instantly recognized the immense value of such a property. She couldn’t help but comment, “Director Yu really went all out this time!”
Yan Xi's eyes flickered as her gaze fixed on the unmistakable logo of the villa.
"Don’t you think… this logo looks kind of familiar?"
The logo had bilingual annotations, one in Maori and the other in English. Zhou Qingyu couldn’t understand Maori but could easily recognize the English words.
"Royalhotel… Royal Hotel? Isn’t that my family’s business? Do we have a hotel in Queenstown too?"
Yan Xi: “…”
She shot Zhou Qingyu a side glance. “You don’t even know where the Zhou family’s assets are located?”
Zhou Qingyu replied matter-of-factly, “Our family’s business empire is so vast; how could I possibly know it all? Can you remember all the works from the artists at Starshine Entertainment?”
Yan Xi answered without hesitation, “Of course I can.”
Zhou Qingyu: “…”
There was a pause. “Shut up.”
Yan Xi: T^T
Hearing a commotion outside, the villa door burst open, and an energetic Samoyed bounded out, joyfully frolicking around Yan Xi and Zhou Qingyu.
Unlike the scorching summer heat of Cold City, the current icy, snowy weather was much more suited to a sled dog like Ya Zhu. Its fluffy fur made it blend almost seamlessly into the snowy landscape. Wrapped in an adorable doggie jacket and grinning widely, it radiated boundless energy.
Lu Beiyu poked his head out. “Yan Xi, Miss Qingyu! You’ve arrived~ Come on in quickly!”
He warmly invited them inside the villa and brought out two steaming cups of mulled wine. “This is a specialty of Queenstown, made with cinnamon and other spices. It’s great for warming you up!”
Zhou Qingyu and Yan Xi cradled their mugs, sipping the fragrant wine that filled the air with a rich aroma and brought warmth to their bodies.
Luiyu and Ye Luoyi were the first batch of guests to arrive, followed by Zhou Qingyu and Yan Xi as the second batch. The last batch was scheduled to include surprise guest appearances, though the identities were still unknown.
Lu Beiyu remarked, “Sister Luoyi and Sister Lingling are upstairs tidying up. They’ll be down soon.”
Zhou Qingyu was enjoying her mulled wine when she nonchalantly asked, “Did you find your second sister?”
Given that DNA testing confirmed a biological connection, and despite the mix-up with the blood samples, the hospital had records that should make locating her fairly straightforward.
Lu Beiyu’s expression fell into disappointment. “Not yet. It’s as if she vanished into thin air. There’s not the slightest clue.”
Zhou Qingyu was momentarily stunned and instinctively glanced at Yan Xi.
However, Yan Xi was happily sipping her mulled wine, seemingly oblivious to the conversation between the two.
“Zhou Qingyu! Why are you guys so late? You’re just so slow!” Su Lingling appeared, dragging her luggage down from upstairs. As soon as she laid eyes on Zhou Qingyu, she struck a triumphant pose, hands on her hips. “We’ve beaten you by a whole hour in getting here!”
Zhou Qingyu scoffed lightly, “Pfft, is that even worth bragging about?”
Su Lingling didn’t care. She was content simply because she could one-up Zhou Qingyu.
Ye Luoyi followed behind Su Lingling, her demeanor as serene and graceful as ever, embodying her signature “natural and unassuming” persona to perfection.
She greeted them gently, “Qingyu, Yan Xi, you’re here too~”
The living room was full of visually striking young men and women, creating a picture-perfect scene. Yet Lu Beiyu couldn’t shake a sense of subtle undercurrents flowing through the room—an ambiance he couldn’t quite put into words.
——Until Pei Yubai pushed his luggage into the living room.
"Qingyu, which room are you staying in? I’ll help you carry your luggage upstairs."
In an instant, the atmosphere in the living room froze. The expressions of the guests changed abruptly—Su Lingling and Lu Beiyu's mouths gaped in shock, Pei Yubai's gaze darted nervously, and a cold glimmer flashed across Ye Luoyi's eyes.
Even Yaozu held onto its little baseball bat, sensing the heavy tension, and whimpered timidly.
Meanwhile, the livestream comments surged into a frenzy—
[Whoa! What is this high-level drama?]
[Fight, fight, fight! I love watching love triangles!]
[I think the White-Clad couple is real. Just look at Pei Yubai and Ye Luoyi's gazes at each other—they practically ooze chemistry! Even TV dramas aren't this intense!]
[A schemer and a pup, I beg the lady to wake up already! Pei Yubai's not worth it!]
Zhou Qingyu lounged on the sofa, leisurely sipping her wine.
Though she was very much part of this complex mess, she remained unaffected by the awkward tension—calmly observing Ye Luoyi and Pei Yubai.
Pei Yubai swallowed hard. Despite the chilly winter atmosphere, beads of sweat rolled down his neck and disappeared into his collar. He deliberately ignored Ye Luoyi’s gaze and turned to Zhou Qingyu instead. "Qingyu, which room are you sharing with Yan Xi? I'll help you bring your luggage upstairs.”
Zhou Qingyu chuckled softly. "No rush. You've bumped into an old acquaintance; why not say hello first?"
Pei Yubai froze mid-breath, his explanation spilling out instinctively. "I already told you—Ye Luoyi and I were just building buzz for our couple image..."
"I know!" Zhou Qingyu interrupted impatiently. "But isn't Ye Luoyi one of your company's artists? There’s no need to avoid her like this, is there?"
[LOL, Pei Yubai is way too obvious here!]
[Seriously, he’s the company boss. If it’s just for publicity, why is he acting so ridiculously awkward around Ye Luoyi?]
[Pei Yubai’s behavior—he looks guilty as hell!]
[Though I can’t help but think... he looks just as guilty toward Ye Luoyi as he does toward the lady.]
Indeed, Pei Yubai was deeply uneasy.
In theory, the four groups of guests on "Journey" had their own schedules and rarely crossed paths outside of cohabiting in the lodging. If that weren’t the case, Pei wouldn’t have dared to chase Zhou Qingyu onto the show in his attempt to mend things between them.
Pei Yubai originally planned to stay cautious and avoid crossing paths with Ye Luoyi. But he hadn’t expected to walk straight into such a dramatic scene upon arrival at the guesthouse!
Pei Yubai didn’t want Ye Luoyi to be hurt anymore, but keeping Zhou Qingyu happy was just as crucial...
"I have a girlfriend now, so of course, I need to act appropriately. Even with subordinates, it’s the same principle," he reasoned.
Ye Luoyi instantly stepped in to smooth over the situation, as if completely unaffected herself. She sat beside Zhou Qingyu with a pristine calmness. "Qingyu, Second Young Master is only doing this to avoid any misunderstandings! He really does care about you!"
All eyes fixed on Ye Luoyi, their pupils widening incredulously, one bigger than the next.
Ye Luoyi... This level of composure was unbelievable!
None more so than Su Lingling, who couldn’t begin to process what was happening.
Pei Yubai was the first to react, following Ye Luoyi’s words smoothly, “Yes, Qingyu, it’s because I care about you too much! There’s nothing going on between me and Luoyi!”
Zhou Qingyu didn’t bother responding to Pei Yubai. His acting was far too amateurish to convince her. She turned her gaze toward Ye Luoyi, her eyes full of playful scrutiny.
Ye Luoyi wore a mild smile, her expression flawless—gentle yet relaxed, with a serenity laced through it.
There was no sign of sadness or resentment whatsoever.
Even the system couldn’t help but give her a thumbs-up: **[“Ye Luoyi is amazing! That performance—what a shame she’s not chasing an Oscar!”]**
Yan Xi wholeheartedly agreed, **“Well, she *is* the female lead, after all.”**
Zhou Qingyu asked, “Ye Luoyi, aren’t you angry?”
The small hot plate on the table held a pot of mulled wine. Ye Luoyi tossed a few cinnamon sticks into it and replied calmly, “What’s there to be angry about? It’s just a publicity stunt, temporary and not real.”
Ye Luoyi’s fans instantly rallied in support:
**[“I’ve been saying this all along—our Luoyi is *not* a homewrecker!”]**
**[“Exactly! If anyone’s at fault, it’s Pei Yubai, not Luoyi. She’s innocent.”]**
**[“What did Luoyi do wrong? She’s just following her boss’s instructions to create some buzz!”]**
Remaining composed, Ye Luoyi looked at Zhou Qingyu. “Qingyu, I’m sincere about this. Since we’re being honest, there’s really nothing between Pei and me—we’re just friends! But you two—you’re a perfect match. I wish you a lifetime of happiness together~”
What originally had the potential to become a dramatic showdown dissipated completely under Ye Luoyi’s gentle and tactful words.
Whether it was an act or genuine, Ye Luoyi’s performance convinced many viewers in the livestream to abandon the idea that she was a homewrecker.
Only Su Lingling, who knew the truth, leaned closer to Ye Luoyi after the conversation had shifted to another topic and everyone exchanged pleasantries. She discreetly turned off her microphone and asked quietly, “Luoyi, are you okay?”
Ye Luoyi turned off her microphone as well, stirring the mulled wine with indifference. “I’m fine.”
…
It was already deep into the night. After a twelve-hour flight, the time difference between Queenstown and China meant it was 2 a.m. locally.
The guests were still gathered in the living room, waiting for the arrival of a special guest.
Director Yu’s mood was upbeat as he monitored the backend data. Although the dramatic conflict in the living room hadn’t erupted as expected, the program’s popularity had significantly soared because of it.
As for the special guest, Director Yu was confident they would make the program even more entertaining.
In the living room, Director Yu introduced the upcoming arrivals to the three groups of participants. “Our show has been livestreaming for two episodes now. So far, we’ve had a best friends combo, a married couple combo, an engaged couple combo, and hey—a human-and-dog combo!”
“This time, we’re introducing an entirely new dynamic—a ‘father-and-son’ combo!”
Zhou Qingyu raised an eyebrow. “Father and son? So, it’s either someone older or someone younger? Are there any famous father-and-son duos in the entertainment industry?”
Yan Xi thought for a moment. “...maybe the ones who’ve been on *Where Are We Going, Dad?*?”
Zhou Qingyu waved her hand, unimpressed. “So, it’s likely a kid. Ugh, I can’t stand children—they’re so annoying.”
“Well, they won’t be hanging out with us anyway,” Yan Xi reassured her.
As they were speaking, the final pair of guests made their entrance.
Two young men walked in, one dressed in a black parka, the other in a white one. Their heights were nearly identical, both standing at an impressive 6’2”. The moment they stepped into the living room, the atmosphere shifted, as though their presence brought a certain weight into the room.
Yan Xi sat on the couch, tilting her head back to an almost uncomfortable degree just to get a good look at their faces.
She fell silent.
Zhou Qingyu also stopped speaking.
The others said nothing, and in that quiet moment in the living room, Yan Xi could distinctly hear the gritted teeth of Pei Yubai.
“So…,” Zhou Qingyu pointed at the man in the white parka, Pei Hanli, and then at the one in black, Zhou Yanci. “Which one of you is supposed to be the father? And who’s the son?! Before you replace the other father-son duo, could you at least come up with an accurate name for yourselves?!”
Pei Hanli chuckled. “No replacements, my lady. I was originally invited as a guest, and the production team said they’d find me a ‘temporary son.’ Never thought…” His gaze slid toward Zhou Yanci. “…the ‘son’ they arranged would be this big.”
Zhou Yanci returned the look with equal disdain. “When they invited me, they said they’d pair me with a ‘temporary rebellious son.’ Who could’ve guessed it’d be you?”
Pei Hanli: “…”
“You think you could father someone my size?”
“Oh? And you think you could father someone my size?”
“I could try.”
“Get lost!”
Director Yu clapped his hands with satisfaction, looking immensely pleased. “See? This is exactly the essence of male bonding—‘I want to be your dad!’ Perfect fit for a father-son duo!”
The group: “…”
.
After the meeting ended, the cast members returned to their rooms.
On the way back, Zhou Qingyu and Zhou Yanci walked side by side for a brief moment. Zhou Qingyu’s expression was cold as she lowered her voice. “Zhou Yanci, did you really join this show just to chase after Yan Xi? Aren’t you the king of overachievers? Don’t you have an entire company to manage?”
“I’m inspecting the operations of our hotels in this country while taking the opportunity to appear on the show,” Zhou Yanci replied nonchalantly. “Thanks to a certain someone, I don’t have to worry about Meng Corporation anymore. I’ve got plenty of free time. But you—juggling acting, reality shows, and serving as the chairwoman of Meng Corporation—are you coping all right?”
“That’s none of your business!”
Zhou Qingyu grabbed Yan Xi’s hand and stomped off into their room.
Later, after washing up, Yan Xi followed her usual routine and headed to the kitchen to warm up some milk.
These days, she had adopted Zhou Qingyu’s habit of drinking sweetened milk before bed to help with sleep.
In the kitchen, Yan Xi ran into Zhou Yanci.
Startled, she quickly pulled him behind the refrigerator to avoid the kitchen cameras.
“What are you doing here?” she whispered.
Leaning casually against the refrigerator, Zhou Yanci idly played with her hand. “Pei Hanli’s participation concerned me a bit, so I partnered up with him.”
Yan Xi suddenly understood. No wonder Pei Yubai could only secure the role of travel advisor—Pei Hanli must have snagged the guest spot long before.
He really was a big-shot antagonist. Better to keep her guard up around him!
However, since they wouldn’t be traveling with Pei Hanli directly, their interactions with him should be minimal. It shouldn’t be much of an issue.
The bigger problem, though, was Zhou Yanci!
When they’d been half a world apart, Zhou Qingyu hadn’t noticed. But now that Zhou Yanci was so close by, their relationship would be hard to keep under wraps. If Zhou Qingyu found out the two of them were involved, she’d probably get even angrier at her!
Yan Xi looked at Zhou Yanci, hesitating for two seconds before she said, “Zhou Yanci, how about we... not be together for the time being?”
Zhou Yanci froze, his gaze turning colder. “Yan Xi, do you think I’m easy to talk to?”
Yan Xi blinked and nodded.
Zhou Yanci was speechless. He had seen men be jerks, but this was the first time he had encountered a woman as unapologetically insensitive as this. The key issue was that her reasoning somehow revolved around his sister.
Zhou Yanci asked, “Be honest with me. If both Zhou Qingyu and I fell into the water, who would you save?”
Yan Xi: ?
What kind of ridiculous question was this? Weren’t these dilemmas usually posed to men?
Yan Xi answered matter-of-factly, “Given Qingyu’s weight, I might still be able to drag her to the riverbank. With your build, I’d only end up dragging you down to meet the grim reaper…”
Zhou Yanci let out a frustrated laugh. “You can’t even say something that pleases me, in front of me? You’re this biased against me?”
Yan Xi hunched her shoulders slightly, acquiescing to the absurdity of the suggestion. “A normal person wouldn’t even ask such a question though… who compares themselves to their sister needing rescue?”
Zhou Yanci could only shake his head in resignation.
To be fair, he had already sensed something wasn’t quite right. That kiss outside the home theater probably arose purely from Yan Xi’s spur-of-the-moment impulse—or perhaps the romantic atmosphere—but ultimately, it was likely just a physiological reaction from a fleeting moment.
Even back in the White Cloud Mountains, he should have recognized that Yan Xi merely had a favorable impression of him without truly reaching the point of romantic affection.
It was him who had forcefully escalated their relationship. Whether it was the fleeting peck during the charity auction or the passionate kiss in the nanny van, he had knowingly employed physical intimacy to accelerate their dynamic, blurring the lines between genuine affection and mere good feelings.
But Yan Xi had merely indulged in a brief flirtation with him.
Such pure emotional stirrings come quickly—and fade just as fast.
Zhou Yanci couldn’t let go. He feared that this fleeting goodwill would vanish too soon, so he pursued her all the way to Queen's City.
However, Yan Xi’s feelings for him seemed even thinner than he’d imagined. She could voice such a casual breakup suggestion without any apparent burden or concern about what might come afterward.
Zhou Yanci tightened his grip on Yan Xi’s hand, feeling a dull ache in his chest.
“No,” he said firmly.
Yan Xi blinked in confusion. “No what?”
“Breaking up is impossible.”
Zhou Yanci bent slightly, resting his head against the crook of Yan Xi’s neck. “But I promise you, I won’t touch you in front of Zhou Qingyu.”
With his head nestled against Yan Xi’s neck, she felt ticklish yet still didn’t push him away.
Suppressing her discomfort, Yan Xi shifted the topic. “It’s so cold here—how’s your ankle holding up?”
Zhou Yanci smiled, a genuine warmth rising from deep within him.
“Now you care about me?”
Yan Xi crouched down to examine the injury on his ankle.
Zhou Yanci decided to tease her. “You said you didn’t want to be with me, so why bother checking?”
Yan Xi shrugged. “Fine, I won’t check then.”
She turned as if to leave, but in the next instant, Zhou Yanci enveloped her tightly in his embrace.
Every time he hugged her, it was with such intensity, wrapping Yan Xi’s petite form completely within his own. It was as though he believed that if he held her tightly enough, the person in his arms would never be able to leave.
Yan Xi was utterly flustered by the sudden embrace, her face flushing with red as her heartbeat began to race uncontrollably.
She struggled to break free from Zhou Yanci's hold, stammering, "Someone might see us…"
Zhou Yanci replied, "I locked Qingyu's room door when I came downstairs. She can't get out."
Yan Xi: ?
What kind of unexpected twist was this?!
Meanwhile, a loud "bang, bang, bang" echoed from upstairs, accompanied by Zhou Qingyu’s sharp voice that reverberated through the villa—
"Who the heck locked my door?!"
Frowning deeply, Yan Xi hastily pushed Zhou Yanci away and shot him an accusing glare, muttering, "All thanks to you!"
Without waiting for a response, she snatched up the two glasses of milk and quickly dashed upstairs to unlock Zhou Qingyu's door.
The kitchen was now left in silence, with only Zhou Yanci remaining.
The warmth of Yan Xi's body lingered on him, offering a rare sense of comfort amidst the frosty chill of a snowy winter's day.
.
After pausing for a moment in the kitchen, Zhou Yanci poured himself a glass of water and planned to head back to his room.
As he turned around, he saw Ye Luoyi standing at the doorway.
Ye Luoyi was dressed scantily in a thin camisole, wrapped only in a thick cloak over her shoulders.
She tilted her head to look up at Zhou Yanci, her voice lowered to a discreet murmur, "I’m sorry, Mr. Zhou. I just happened to come down to grab some water—I wasn’t intentionally spying on you and Yan Xi."
Zhou Yanci glanced down at her with an icy gaze. "Don't tell anyone."
Ye Luoyi nodded.
She had long suspected something during the charity auction. Many people claimed Zhou Yanci was bidding for the brooch as part of a rivalry with Zhou Qingyu—the two siblings from the Zhou family seemed constantly at odds with each other. But Ye Luoyi noticed something no one else did: the brooch they contested over had originally been donated by Yan Xi.
She had a keen intuition when it came to such matters.
What she witnessed in the kitchen today confirmed her suspicions about their relationship.
Ye Luoyi liked to flirt and manipulate men to derive benefits from them. However, she had a strict principle—she never pursued men who were already taken, nor would she ever become a homewrecker. Upon realizing Zhou Yanci's connection to Yan Xi, she erased him from her list of prospects.
As Zhou Yanci left, Ye Luoyi’s gaze lingered on his retreating figure.
It was strange. Perhaps because he had once been her ideal man in her youth—her childhood dream, her unattainable "white moonlight"—Ye Luoyi always felt that Zhou Yanci was different from other people. But oddly enough, watching him embrace Yan Xi didn’t make her sad. She only felt a faint pang of jealousy.
Yet when Pei Yubai confessed his feelings to Zhou Qingyu, Ye Luoyi's heart ached.
The people she thought she had let go of slipped from her grasp so effortlessly. And yet, the one person she thought she held tightly ended up causing her the deepest pain.
Matters of the heart—they were truly complicated.
With a resigned sigh, Ye Luoyi exhaled.
.
The next day marked another live broadcast session for the travel show.
Since most of the guests had stayed up late the previous night, despite the recording schedule starting at eight in the morning, many of them slept in well past ten.
Still bleary-eyed from sleep, Zhou Qingyu slowly got up and pampered herself with a face mask.
Normally, by this time, the travel consultant would have prepared her breakfast—either a local specialty or a healthy salad.
Today was Pei Yubai's turn to prepare breakfast, but what he brought was a buffet from the hotel restaurant. While these dishes might seem quite decent to others, they weren’t refined enough for Zhou Qingyu.
Zhou Qingyu, in a foul mood, chastised Pei Yubai. "Don’t you know how to hire a chef? What is this you've prepared? Fit for pigs?"
The other guests, who were enjoying their buffet breakfast, were stunned into silence: "..."
Being criticized early in the morning, Pei Yubai’s expression turned grim, and he replied, "I’ll go hire a chef later."
Unimpressed, Zhou Qingyu dropped her bagel, clearly disinterested. She opted for a cup of black coffee instead—to combat water retention.
Director Yu had mentioned there would be an announcement this morning regarding the activities for this episode of the show.
The first stop is in F Nation, where the activity is for the guests to dine together and cook hot pot. The second stop is in H Nation, where the guests are tasked with earning money themselves. Overall, the activities were relatively simple. As for X Nation, the guests instinctively felt that the tasks there might not be overly complex either.
At 10:30 a.m., Director Yu arrived.
When he saw the guests, his usually sharp demeanor softened. Particularly when his eyes landed on Zhou Yanci and Pei Hanli, his neck shrank slightly, and his tone took on a fawning quality.
"Ah, everyone’s here! Perfect timing. I’m here to announce the activities for this episode of the show!"
"As you know, the show’s theme is travel, so the activities are never overly complicated. Today's activity is no exception. The production team has already booked a ski venue, so the activity for this stop is—every guest must successfully learn to ski and complete a designated course!"
The guests began discussing:
"Skiing doesn’t sound that difficult."
"But I don’t know how to ski!"
"No worries, I can teach you. It’s really simple~"
"Anyway, skiing was already part of our itinerary, wasn’t it?"
Even the live-stream comments chimed in, agreeing that the activity felt underwhelming. After traveling halfway across the globe to Queenstown, what else would one do if not skiing? Stand around staring at the snow?
This suggestion from the production team seemed utterly uninspired!
Seeing that the guests had almost finished discussing and were generally accepting of the skiing activity, Director Yu cleared his throat lightly. "Well, skiing is just one part of the activity."
"Before that, there’s an additional requirement."
Everyone turned their attention to Director Yu.
Director Yu announced, "The requirement is… swapping partners! Each guest must switch travel partners before participating in the skiing activity!"
What do you think?
