Chapter 181: Fighting Sect Master Fang Yi
Lucian looked at the middle-aged Sect Master still sitting on his meditation cushion.
The Sect Master’s robes were wrinkled and his hair slightly disheveled, as if he had been meditating for a long time.
"I wanted to talk about my promotion, Sect Master!" Lucian said calmly.
The Sect Master’s brow furrowed.
"Oh right! You’ve already broken through, huh?" he continued grumpily, "But you could’ve waited for tomorrow... It’s quite late now."
Lucian bowed his head apologetically, "I’m sorry, Sect Master. But I also have something important to show you. It can’t wait until morning."
Fang Yi’s eyes narrowed, "What is so urgent?"
Lucian waved his hand and a gray scroll appeared in his palm, "Sect Master, I found this from a demon cultivator."
Fang Yi’s eyes turned sharp as he replied coldly, "We are a righteous sect. We won’t practice demonic techniques."
"I know, Sect Master," Lucian said smoothly, "But at least you should take a look. Especially the method of breaking through described here. It might give you some insights."
Fang Yi hesitated, his gaze flickering between the scroll and Lucian’s face. Finally, his curiosity won out. He reached for the scroll.
"Very well," he said irritably, "Let me see this technique."
Then Lucian handed over the scroll.
This was the same Ghost Path Cultivation Manual he had found from Aldric!
The technique had a very interesting way to break through. It described absorbing the souls of Spiritual Beasts or Cultivators to break through easily.
Just like the System’s description said, the Sect Master wanted to capture Alisa to use her to break through his bottleneck.
So Lucian wanted to use this technique scroll as an excuse to make the Sect Master lower his guard, even if only for a moment.
Fang Yi’s hands trembled slightly as he read. This method was eerily similar to what he had been contemplating before.
"Which... which Core Disciple did you get this from?" Fang Yi stammeringly asked, but his eyes never left the scroll.
"It was guy from the Soul Devouring Sect. So Sect Master, what do you think?" Lucian asked calmly.
Fang Yi looked upward, but instead of Lucian’s face, he saw a thin needle flying towards him!
His pupils constricted, as he moved to dodge.
But Lucian never intended to attack his head in the first place. The thin blood needle slightly changed its trajectory and pierced through Fang Yi’s left hand!
Puchi!!
"Ahhhh!!" A sudden scream echoed in the dark room.
The scroll dropped to the ground as Fang Yi clutched his injured hand.
"Good! Very good! Only you knew that my left hand is my main hand!" Fang Yi roared at Alisa, his face contorted with rage and disbelief, "So you want to use this guy to kill me? How Laughable!"
He pulled out a longsword that glowed with a sharp azure light.
"You injured my main hand! So what? Let me show you why I’ve become the Sect Master!"
He immediately unleashed a flurry of sword strikes. Azure Sword Qi flashed through the air as the blade moved in lightning speed!
Lucian also took out his Halberd. He swung the heavy halberd in a wide arc.
Clang!
The halberd and longsword met in a thunderous crash!
Both cultivators were pushed back by the force of the collision. However, Lucian retreated two more steps than Fang Yi.
Lucian’s eyes slightly widened as he noticed a thin crack appear on his halberd’s blade.
"So this is the power of a Fourth Grade weapon," Lucian muttered, his voice serious.
Fang Yi sneered, "Brat, your mouth still reeks of your mother’s milk. Did you really think catching me off guard for a moment would be enough?"
He swung the glowing azure sword, smirking, "You are a thousand years too early to challenge me!"
But inwardly he was shocked as he only managed to push him back. He thought one attack would be enough to kill this guy.
Lucian chuckled, "If only your words were true. I’d love to have tasted my mother’s milk." Continue reading at NovelBin.Côm
At this moment, Alisa also moved, took out a thin sword. Coldness slowly began to spread from her blade. She moved to Fang Yi’s left side to attack him from a weak angle.
"You ungrateful bitch!" he cursed, swinging his azure sword to block her strike.
Clang!
Lucian moved again, and this time he used his full power.
Crimson Flame covered his body with a small Dao Lotus with nine rotating petals materialising behind his head, radiating an intense heat.
His halberd also burst into brilliant crimson flames.
Fang Yi’s eyes widened in shock, "Impossible! How do you know this Cultivation Technique?" @@novelbin@@
Clang!
Fang Yi stopped Alisa’s attack again, and looking into her eyes, he said darkly, "So you’ve finally found someone who can cultivate that technique, hmm? That also means you’ve already slept with him!?"
Alisa grinned coldly, "Your toothpick can’t even compare to his monster cock. He’s filled me up in ways you never could."
"I’LL KILL YOU BOTH!" Fang Yi roared, his face contorted with rage and humiliation.
Suddenly, Lucian arrived from his blind spot, halberd blazing with crimson flames.
Bang! Bang!
Fang Yi barely managed to block the sudden strike, but the force sent him stumbling back. His robes were singed, wisps of smoke rising from the fabric.
"You’re courting death!" he roared, swinging his azure sword!
A bright azure light was released and covered the whole cave abode!
Soon nearly ten similar swords were suspended mid-air. Each sword glowed with the same sharp azure light as the one in Fang Yi’s hand.
"DIE!!" Fang Yi pushed down his sword and the swords floating in the air shot towards Lucian and Alisa like streaks of blue lightning.
Lucian’s eyes narrowed. He quickly grabbed Alisa and dodged to the side, narrowly avoiding the rain of azure swords.
His Crimson Flames didn’t hurt her, instead they seemed to resonate with her cold Qi.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
The blades crashed into the stone floor, leaving deep gouges in the rock!
Alisa’s face was pale, "I’ve never seen him use this technique before."
Fang Yi laughed coldly, "Of course not. Those who had seen this technique had all died!"
Fang Yi swiftly controlled one of the azure swords to attack Lucian from behind.
Sensing the danger, Lucian immediately spat out the blood needle.
But the moment the needle made contact with the azure sword, both of them burst into fragments of light and blood.
Ptooey~
Lucian spat out a mouthful of fresh blood as the backlash from the destroyed needle hit him.
But he remained calm, dodging to the side as another azure sword sliced through the air where he had just been standing.
When the blinding azure light finally vanished, Fang Yi stood in the center, his eyes blazing with fury and a hint of madness.
"You insects dare to challenge me?" He laughed arrogantly and looked at Alisa, saying, "I was hesitant before, but now I will use you as my cultivation fuel before torturing you to death... Hahaha..."
At this time, Lucian put Alisa down, and slowly began to walk towards Fang Yi, flames still covering his body.
His burning Halberd was in poor shape; the collisions with the Azure Swords had caused cracks to appear all over the blade. But Lucian didn’t seem worried.
"I’ll also show you something before I kill you," Lucian smirked, as he used his movement technique.
"Stand still and die!" Fang Yi roared. With a wave of his hand, more azure swords appeared and began flying in all directions toward Lucian!
"I have to admit killing a peak Golden Core while being only at the peak of early stage is indeed quite difficult," Lucian said as he dodged the flying azure swords. "But, do you think if I wasn’t confident, I would have come to die here?"
At the next moment, the Crimson Flame burned around his body even more intensely. The small Dao Lotus behind his head grew slightly larger, its nine petals spinning faster and faster.
He slowly approached Fang Yi, dodging all his long range attacks.
As Lucian closed in, Fang Yi gritted his teeth and met him head-on.
Their weapons clashed in a rapid exchange of blows. The Crimson Flame on Lucian’s halberd met the azure light of Fang Yi’s sword, creating dazzling sparks with each collision.
Alisa didn’t remain idle. Whenever she saw an opening, she would use long range spells, forcing Fang Yi to divide his attention.
After an incense stick of time,
Fang Yi’s face was pale as he struggled to follow Lucian’s speed. His movements grew increasingly frantic and desperate.
"Damm it! Does he have more Spiritual Energy than me? How can that be!?" Fang Yi thought in horror as he barely managed to block another of Lucian’s strikes.
Sweat poured down Fang Yi’s face. His breaths came in rough gasps. The azure glow of his sword flickered, growing weaker.
Suddenly, Lucian’s half-broken halberd flashed forward in a crimson arc.
Crack! Whoosh~
An arm flew through the air!
"AAARGH!" Fang Yi screamed in agony as his right arm, still clutching the azure sword, thudded to the ground.
What do you think?
