Chapter 208: Crown Prince Lin Weishang
Chapter 208: Crown Prince Lin Weishang
Grand Hall,
Lucian sat at the head of a round wooden table, covered with Spiritual Fruits and Wines.
Standing beside his right side was Alisa, wearing azure robes embroidered with patterns of mountains and silver clouds. Her white hair was tied in a bun, held with a jade hairpin.
At the other end of the wooden table sat a handsome man in his early 30s with black hair.
He wore a deep crimson robe, decorated with golden thread in patterns of some unknown mystical beast. A silver medallion hung from his waist, engraved with the words of the 'Crown Prince'!
Behind the Crown Prince were two cultivators calmly standing.
The one with the burly physique was wearing the armor of the Tianyu Empire. He had a scar from his left temple to his jaw, and a huge greatsword was strapped to his back.
The other was a scholarly man dressed in flowing silver-blue robes. His hair was neatly tied with a white jade hairpin, and a jade pendant, emitting a faint green glow, hung from his waist.
Even though the scholarly man had a gentle smile on his thin lips, Lucian couldn't see through his Cultivation like he could with the burly man, who was clearly a peak Golden Core Cultivator.
'A Nascent Soul cultivator, most possibly mid-stage!?' Lucian could only guess blindly.
At this moment, the Crown Prince spoke calmly, "I hope I haven't disturbed your cultivation, Sect Master. I've been meaning to visit the Azure Sword Sect for quite some time, but Imperial duties kept me occupied."
Lucian stood up and offered a fist and palm salute, saying, "I was just reading some scrolls, so your arrival did not disturb me, Your Highness."
The Crown Prince continued, slapping his head suddenly, "How rude of me! I haven't yet introduced myself properly."
The Crown Prince smiled warmly. He stayed seated, and performed a fist salute, "I'm Crown Prince Lin Weishang of the Tianyu Empire, son of Emperor Lin Tianfang and Queen Yue."
He took a sip of wine, "And these are my trusted aides – Commander Wei, head of my personal guard, and Scholar Zhu, my advisor in matters both mundane and Cultivation."
The burly man nodded, and the scholarly cultivator bowed. Lucian gave a small nod in return.
"It's an honor to finally meet the famed Lucian of the Azure Sword Sect," Crown Prince's eyes gleamed with interest as he studied Lucian, "I must say, the rumors about the Azure Sword Sect's young Sect Master don't do you justice. Your aura is... different than I expected. More profound."
Lucian smiled faintly, knowing that the Crown Prince had sensed his breakthrough.
"When I heard Royal Mother sending the Royal Family's Ship to take Sect Master Lucian to the Empire, I also followed as I've something important to discuss with you."
Lucian cut a piece of meat of second rank Spirit Beast and asked, "What matters are so urgent that the Crown Prince himself would journey to our sect?"
When the Crown Prince looked at Alisa, Lucian said firmly, placing the meat in his mouth, "She is trustworthy."
Crown Prince smiled gently and said, "I don't know the relationship between Sect Master and my Royal sister, Iris, but given the fact that Mother sent the Royal Family's Ship for you, she'll surely allocate you a position to enter the Heavenly Tribulation Realm. That's no small matter.
Cause all these years, noone from the sects were chosen by the Royal Family to enter the Heavenly Tribulation Realm. The last sect disciple to receive such an honor was nearly a hundred years ago, and that person is now an Elder in the Imperial Court."
Lucian raised an eyebrow, "So the Crown Prince wants to form an alliance to look after each other's back in the Heavenly Tribulation Realm?"
Lin Weishang shook his head and laughed, "Sect Master, what do you think will happen if a Crown Prince entered such Realm?"
Lucian immediately understood what he meant, and said, "So Your Highness wants me to…?"
"Do you know what's above Nascent Soul?" Weishang instead asked, his fingers tapping on the wooden table.
Even though Lucian knew, he still shook his head.
"Above Nascent Soul, there is Divinity Transformation where Nascent Soul reborn as a Primordial Spirit. Unlike a fragile Nascent Soul that if leave the body for a long time will slowly dissipate," Weishang spoke, "But a Primordial Spirit can exist between Heaven and Earth because it can absorb Spiritual Energy directly."
Lucian feigned astonishment as if hearing such profound knowledge for the first time. This satisfied Weishang's vanity greatly, causing a smile to form at the corners of his lips.
Lucian asked hesitantly, "Why are you telling me this? What exactly does Your Highness want from me?"
The Crown Prince smiled mysteriously, "I want Sect Master to help someone break through inside the realm."
"Hmm!? But Your Highness, I think my Cultivation isn't sufficient for such a task," Lucian replied cautiously.
Weishang waved his hands dismissively and took out a small bottle of jade from his sleeve.
At this moment, the scholarly man spoke suddenly, "Sect Master Lucian, Crown Prince Weishang has brought these Soul Nurturing Pills as a gift. They cost 100 Top-grade Spirit Stones each to refine. You should understand how much value the Crown Prince is placing on this potential alliance."
The jade bottle floated across the table, and Lucian swiftly caught it.
"I'm a Disciple of one of the strongest sects of this Continent," Weishang said casually, "So as long as you satisfy me, I can help you introduce yourself to the Sect Elders."
With that, he rose and started walking toward the exit, his two followers quickly moving to his sides.
"Take care of your personal matters within two days," Crown Prince Weishang said at the doorway, "We'll departs at dawn on the third day."
With that, he left.
As the scholarly man closed the door, Alisa was about to say something, but Lucian gave her a signal that she understood immediately.
Lucian poured himself another cup of spirit wine, seemingly relaxed.
A moment later, both of them left the hall, and entered the underground room where he killed Fang Yi and activated the protective formation.
But instead of saying anything, he sat down cross-legged and began to meditate. He didn't take even out the Eight rank Spirit Vein but only naturally absorbed the energy.
Seeing Lucian so concentrated, Alisa also sat down and began to cultivate.
Lucian's expression remained serene, but inwardly he smiled coldly.
After breaking through to Nascent Soul, he could easily bypass these Third Rank Array Formations that was protecting this underground room as well as the Azure Sword Mountain.
So there was a chance that the scholarly man, whose cultivation he couldn't see through, might be observing them from afar at this very moment!
So Lucian began to refine his Essence Blood according to the Needle of Blood Fiend technique.
His golden Essence Blood also contained the destructive power of his physique. The [Nine Heavens Emperor Physique] had transformed his Essence Blood into something extraordinary.
He planned to leave some blood needles for his women before leaving. Although it would take a while to restore his Essence Blood after creating these needles, Lucian considered it worthwhile.
While refining the blood needles, Lucian began to contemplate his Domain.
Every Nascent Soul cultivator eventually formed a Domain, which represented their understanding of Heaven and Earth.
Right now, he was yet to decide what kind of domain to comprehend. The Celestial Flame Lotus Cultivation Technique contained information about a fire-based domain, but Lucian didn't rush this decision.
He wanted to check the Royal Family's techniques first.
What if there was something in their libraries that could guide him to a more suitable Domain?
Why rush into a decision that could affect his entire cultivation path?
Moreover he was yet to truly use his Dragon Bloodline. Previously because his Golden Core Cultivation, he couldn't properly channel the tremendous power of his bloodline.
The Dragon Essence within him had been dormant, waiting for his cultivation to reach a level where it could safely manifest without tearing his meridians apart.
Furthermore, with the newly awakened [Unification] option of the system, he wanted to try if Domains could be combined!
However, in order to use this function, he had to first understand a domain or a technique until it showed up in his System Panel.

At the same time, inside a guest room, Crown Prince Weishang was looking through the window at the setting sun.
While sipping Spiritual wine, he asked, "What do you think?"
The scholarly man, Scholar Zhu, sat cross-legged on a meditation mat.
His eyes slowly opened, revealing pupils that flickered with an unnatural green light before returning to normal.
He sneered coldly, "He's more cautious than I thought."
Crown Prince Weishang continued to ask, "What's your assessment of his cultivation?"
The scholarly man stroked his thin beard contemplatively, "Early Nascent Soul, but there's something unusual about his foundation. It's more... substantial than most cultivators at his stage. I suspect he possesses a special physique or bloodline."
"Interesting," Weishang murmured. "And his loyalty?"
"Questionable. He's too independent for my liking. Not like those sect masters who would kneel at the mere sight of Imperial decree," Scholar Zhu replied. "But he's ambitious. We can use that."
