With My System, I Can Even Tame Gods

Chapter 1066 1066: Battle of intelligence

The moment that the proxy dungeon core was shattered, it meant that this dungeon battle was over.

The first reaction that the five dungeon cores had were looks of shock.

Then their expressions slowly changed to become looks of anger.

"You cheated!"

There was no hesitation as they accused Lin Fan of cheating, but one had to know that they were justified in this.

In the first place, Lin Fan was equal to the dungeon core in their minds and he even had the ability to call them into the negotiation space. So as far as the dungeon cores were concerned, he shouldn't have been able to involve himself in the dungeon battle.

If he did, it meant that he was using some kind of special cheat that broke the rules of the dungeon battle.

It didn't matter if they were wrong, they just couldn't let this injustice pass.

So they had to raise a formal complaint regardless of whether it was correct or not.

Only it seemed that there was no response from the dungeon core system. It seemed that the dungeon core system didn't detect any form of cheating from Lin Fan.

But that just made the five dungeon cores even angrier.

"Collusion! This has to be some kind of inside collusion!"

At this point, they had reached a level of anger that completely took over their rationality. It reached a point where they didn't even know what they were talking about anymore as they just tried to say anything that would help their case.

But what they weren't realizing was that saying this was actually an insult to the god that created them. This was the god that had created the dungeon core system and was the one that created the rules for it, so by calling it out like this…

"Enough." A voice cut through these arguments.

If it was anyone else, the five dungeon cores would have just ignored them and continued to argue.

But it was different since the voice belonged to the person that they were die hard fans of. It was impossible for them not to recognize who this voice belonged to and once they did, they immediately came back to their senses.

Haku had appeared out of a portal along with the other dungeon cores from her fanclub.

However, she wasn't even looking at the five dungeon cores when she came out.

Instead, Haku seemed to be looking around with a trace of worry in her eyes. It was as if there was something that she was afraid of as she looked around this area.

But eventually she calmed down as she didn't see anything to worry about.

It seemed that whatever she was worried about didn't come to pass.

Lin Fan could guess what she was worried about even if the other dungeon cores couldn't. After all, it was rare enough for these lower tier dungeon cores to even see Weiss, the god that created them that they usually forgot about his presence.

But it wasn't as if a god would care about matters with lower tier dungeon cores like this.

So in the end, there was nothing that happened.

Only when Haku saw that there was nothing that happened did she say, "Do you really think that he would cheat at a time like this? It's embarrassing if you think that."

The five dungeon cores all trembled the moment that they heard this.

If it was anyone else that said this to them, they wouldn't have had the same reaction.

But because it was Haku who was scolding them right now, it naturally had a large effect on them.

It was as if their world was collapsing around them with the look that was on their face.

It really seemed like they were about to cry when they heard this.

However, they still had to say something…

"How could he do all of that if he wasn't cheating?" They said in a soft voice.

Haku shook her head before turning to look at Lin Fan to say, "Do you want to explain to them how you did it?"

Lin Fan revealed a faint smile, but he didn't reject her idea.

After all, he knew that she was doing this for his sake as well.

If he explained this to them, they would naturally be more willing to listen and accept their defeat. It was just that how much they would be willing to accept this would all depend on their respect for Haku.

The plan was actually quite simple, it was to use everything that they chose against them.

The first thing was making sure that they got the map that they wanted.

"How could that help you?" The dungeon cores asked in confused voices.

But Lin Fan quickly made it clear for them and they couldn't help revealing bitter looks when they realized that they had been played.

The map that they chose was designed to play to their strong points.

That meant that this map was filled with terrain that was favourable to them.

"Because it was favourable to you, you chose to send your troops there and it was easy to set up traps along the way." Lin Fan said with a faint smile as if he was proud of this.

The moment that the dungeon cores heard this though, there were bitter looks that appeared on their faces.

"So you played us?" The dungeon cores asked in bitter voices.

Lin Fan explained with a nod.

For the dragonkin, he used a slime that didn't have anything other than its ability to keep in heat. That was how he was able to use the heat of the dragonkin and the other creatures that followed the dragonkin to burn them alive.

For the merman, he placed poisonous jellyfish in the area that they were swimming in. The moment that they entered the territory of the jellyfish, that was when they were immediately poisoned and killed.

For the wolfman, he used moths that released a powerful sleeping poison. This put all of the wolfman and other beastmen to sleep without a single hassle.

The wolfman and the beastmen were the only ones that weren't killed.

"Unlike the others, I could tell that these were special summons. These were summons that weren't generic summons, these were summons that were carefully summoned. If they were killed, it would hurt the core of your dungeon unlike the others that could just revive their hero units." Lin Fan explained in a calm voice when he reached the case with the wolfman.

The dungeon core that the wolfman belonged to couldn't help looking a bit touched since he had hit the nail on the head. But then she quickly steeled her face when she saw the way that the other dungeon cores looked at her.

After explaining this, Lin Fan went on to explain his final move.

"I had long found your base with my summons, it was just a matter of drawing you away. Since I knew that you would look down on me, I knew that you would send everything else after me and only leave the bare minimum for defense. That was the moment that I knew I could end this."

The dungeon cores had bitter looks on their faces again when they heard this, but there was nothing that they could say since he had completely read them.

But there was still one more thing that they had to ask.

"How were you able to participate in the fight directly?" There was even this accusatory tone to their voices as they said this.

There was a wide smile that appeared on Lin Fan's face when he heard this and a trace of pride in his voice when he explained.

"I registered myself as a hero unit."

Confused looks appeared on the faces of not just the dungeon cores, but even Haku as this was also the one thing that she hadn't been able to figure out. That was why she had come forward to scold the dungeon cores in the first place…well, other than the fact that they might have said something that they would have regretted.

Seeing these confused looks, Lin Fan explained, "It's very simple, there's an item in the store that allows you to register living creatures as hero units and also remove them. It's not an expensive item, but it's not an item that most people would use."

The dungeon cores nodded in agreement to this since they knew why this was the case.

Hero units that were summoned from the system were much stronger than any hero units that could be registered from outside of the system, so they would never consider registering hero units.

But Lin Fan was strong enough to be considered a powerful hero unit just for this battle.

The five dungeon cores that he faced were only mid tier dungeon cores in the first place, so their hero units were only the equivalent to a cultivator in the Low Golden Core Realm.

For Lin Fan who was already in the Mid Golden Core Realm and could easily fight those with a higher level of cultivation, it was easy for him to take care of these hero units.

It was just a matter of stamina that he didn't actually make a move until the very end.

Hearing the explanation that Lin Fan gave, the dungeon cores still looked like they weren't willing to accept their loss. It was just that even if they didn't accept it, it had already been registered and they had no choice but to accept it.
