1: The Infinite World
...Somewhere in some world...
On a small, uninhabited island in the middle of the ocean.
The sky above the island suddenly shatters, and a mysterious object falls from within. The strange object crashes onto the island.
The island trembles slightly as dust fills the air, while the broken sky begins to repair itself, returning to its original state.
After a while, the island falls silent once more, and the swirling dust and sand settle back to the ground.
In a corner of the island, at the spot where the mysterious object fell, a crater remains. Inside it lies the body of a young man with black hair, his tattered clothes revealing wounds and blood on his body.
After an unknown period, the young man slowly opens his eyes, his expression filled with astonishment. He scans his surroundings to confirm something.
"Hahaha! The legend was true... This world is vast and infinite; it is not limited to what we see... I was right to escape from that damned prison and sacrifice millions of lives... Hahaha..." the young man spoke with a wide grin and a sinister expression.
This young man is called "D." In pursuit of truth, he did not hesitate to sacrifice millions of lives when he was in a small secret dimension. He even sacrificed part of his foundation.
Now, he has finally achieved his desire to escape the prison that once suppressed him. "D" is ambitious and will never allow himself to be controlled by anyone or anything. He will not hesitate to sacrifice whatever is necessary for his gains.
Suppressing his excitement, "D" attempted to explore his surroundings but soon realized he couldn't move.
"I thought I had prepared well, but things never go as planned when stepping into the unknown," he thought as he closed his dark eyes and began to meditate.
In this world, where the strong devour the weak, survival demands strength—either you become powerful enough to protect yourself, or you remain weak and isolate yourself from the strong.
Warriors constantly strive to strengthen themselves through meditation, building their foundations, and breaking into higher realms.
The realms are divided into nine tiers, and each tier consists of three stages: early, middle, and late.
When "D" was in the secret dimension, he had reached the early stage of the second tier. However, after sacrificing part of his foundation, he fell to the middle stage of the first tier.
…
After an unknown period.
"If not for the dense primordial energy here, I wouldn’t have healed my wounds this quickly," "D" thought as he got up and began exploring his surroundings.
He looked at the starry sky and the endless blue ocean—things he had never seen before. In the secret dimension, there was no day or night; it was barren, severely lacking in primordial energy.
The small island was covered in towering trees, patches of grass, and large rocks.
"D" wandered around for a bit before frowning. He didn’t want to remain stranded on this island.
He walked toward the trees, deciding to build a boat to cross the ocean. Lacking any sharp tools, he resorted to using his power.
Placing his hand on a tree, black corrosive smoke emerged, wrapping around the trunk. The bark began to erode under the dark smoke, and soon, the tree collapsed to the ground.
"D" worked until midday, constructing something resembling a small boat capable of floating on the sea's surface.
Stepping onto the boat, he slowly drifted away from the island.
"D" never intended to cross the entire ocean with this small boat. He simply aimed to reach another island or encounter people at sea.
…
From the sky, a small boat could be seen in the vast ocean.
It was steadily approaching a large island. Before reaching it, "D" noticed a group of people gathered around a fire, cooking something.
Having not eaten since arriving in this world, "D" was starving.
Despite being at the middle stage of the first tier, he couldn’t endure hunger for days—especially after exhausting so much energy building his small boat.
The group soon spotted him. As "D" reached the shore, he ignored them entirely, walking straight toward the meat roasting over the fire. Without hesitation, he reached out and began devouring it ravenously.
"Hey, you! What do you think you're doing? That’s our food! Who do you think you are to take it for yourself?!" one of the men shouted angrily.
"Is this guy insane? Did the sea make him lose his mind to the point that he no longer values his life?" another person muttered.
"D" grabbed a large piece of meat and stuffed it into his mouth as if he hadn’t heard them.
One of them stepped forward, raising his sword and swinging it toward "D."
Finishing the meat in his hand, "D" swiftly dodged the attack, grabbed the attacker’s arm, and held it tightly.
What do you think?
