Of course, some noble families wanted to ascend to power, restore the imperial system, and enslave everyone under the heavens. These were the families with real strength; those without it would naturally want to trade Yan Country for sufficient benefits.

The ancestors controlling these families were all from the previous era, extremely egotistical people who would sacrifice anything for longevity. To them, the loss of a country was nothing; with their strength, they could thrive anywhere. Selling their nation could be more valuable.

So, Ji Shan thought, why not play a trick on these noble families himself?
