Zombie Cultivation Across Worlds

Chapter 20 – Alright, I get it, just don't puke on me

Inside the three-story building, it was dim and dark.

Wang Yong arrived on the third floor.

A slender woman sat on a chair, trembling.

Beside her, a man with a buzz cut and dark skin was engrossed in playing a game with a controller in his hand.

The screen in front of him displayed a dark and gloomy scene.

A warrior clad in armor, with a large shield in his left hand and a straight sword in his right, was battling a gigantic, flaming giant king.

On the adjacent screen, a scene of romantic entanglement was playing.

The suggestive sounds Wang Yong had heard earlier were coming from there.

Wang Yong wasn't surprised; he had seen such scenes many times before.

Everyone thought his cousin Wang Gangjian was here with a woman, but in reality, Wang Gangjian was just playing games.

Wang Gangjian deliberately played these suggestive sounds to avoid people thinking he was wasting time on games.

After all, Wang Gangjian was the boss of Black Edge Security Company, overseeing hundreds of people.

If the underlings found out the boss was playing games, wouldn't his authority be undermined?

But Wang Gangjian really wanted to play, so he always put on this act.

He would bring a woman to this three-story building, play suggestive sounds to pretend he was busy, and cover up the sound of his gaming.

At this moment, a scream erupted from the screen.

Wang Gangjian reluctantly put down the controller, "This giant is really tough."

"Speak, what's the matter?" He looked at his cousin Wang Yong.

Wang Yong immediately recounted what he had witnessed at the abandoned building in detail, leaving nothing out.

Wang Gangjian's expression was casual at first.

But it quickly turned serious.

"High-level zombie, it must be a high-level zombie."

Wang Gangjian said solemnly, "What did Old Zheng from the research institute say?"

Wang Yong shook his head, "They didn't say anything. I even asked who saved them, but they dodged the question."

Wang Gangjian sighed, "East Lake City is really not a good place to be, high-level zombies keep appearing one after another."

"A while ago, Zhao Hong even told us that a high-level zombie appeared at his Little RT-MART, and then it disappeared."

Wang Yong asked, "What should we do?"

Wang Gangjian glared at him, "What else can we do? Increase vigilance and stay away from that area."

"Also, ask the Linjiang Army for some support."

"We are a force established under the guidance of the Linjiang Army. With high-level zombies frequently appearing in East Lake City, how can we not ask them for support?"

Wang Yong chuckled, "You're still the smart one, big brother."

Just as Wang Gangjian was about to pick up the controller, he suddenly remembered something and said, "You came back just in time. Zhao Hong bought a batch of canned food and medicine from us. Take some people and deliver it to them."

"Hmm? Didn't he always complain about the high prices? Why does he want them now?" Wang Yong was puzzled.

Wang Gangjian said casually, "The Spirit Dog Gang has always been short on medicine. They were just being stubborn at first because they hadn't run out yet. Now that they've run out, they have no choice but to grit their teeth and pay the high price."

Wang Yong chuckled, "Makes sense."

"I'll take the goods over now."

"Go, go." Wang Gangjian waved his hand without turning his head, and started a new round of gaming.

On the other side.

Wang Yong and two men got into a Wuling Divine Car and headed towards the Spirit Dog Gang's base camp at the Haotai Hotel.

The Spirit Dog Gang had several strongholds, and the Haotai Hotel was just the base camp.

In addition, there were the large greenhouse to the north and the small fishing ground to the south, specifically for food supply.

Because East Lake City wasn't large and resources were relatively abundant, the Spirit Dog Gang and Black Edge Company had always coexisted peacefully, without any life-and-death struggles.

An hour later, the van arrived outside the Haotai Hotel.

The car stopped at the entrance, and the man beside Wang Yong was about to get out when Wang Yong pulled him back.

"Something's not right, it's too quiet."

"The Spirit Dog Gang is never like this."

Wang Yong's face was serious.

He keenly sensed something was amiss.

It was broad daylight, and the Spirit Dog Gang members usually gathered in groups to play cards and brawl.

Every time he delivered goods, he could hear the noise coming from inside.

But this time, it was eerily quiet.

As if... everyone had disappeared.

"Take a closer look," Wang Yong whispered.

The two men nodded and peeked around.

One of them suddenly exclaimed, "Brother Yong, there's a body over there, a mutilated body!"

Wang Yong followed his gaze and indeed saw a body.

Calling it a body was somewhat inaccurate.

Because only a small section of an arm and a leg remained.

"Let's go, let's go!"

Wang Yong swallowed hard and growled.

The presence of body parts on the ground indicated that the Haotai Hotel had definitely been attacked.

Whether by zombies or some other intruders, they were undoubtedly powerful.

Because Zhao Hong, no matter what, was a Level 1 Extraordinary Being.

For the enemy to make Zhao Hong disappear without a trace, they must be incredibly strong.

The only thing they could do now was to escape as quickly as possible!

Buzz buzz buzz!

The van sped away, incredibly fast.

However, they hadn't gone far.

Several figures appeared on the rooftop ahead.

Wang Yong looked through the car window and saw two towering figures.

They were like moving mountains.

Every move seemed to shake the ground.

Their faces were fierce, their appearance bloodthirsty, somewhat resembling zombies, yet slightly different.

Beside them were two giant dogs.

Wang Yong had seen those two giant dogs before; they were Zhao Hong's Dahuang and Erhuang.

High-level zombies!

And two of them!

Even Zhao Hong's two dogs had abandoned him and submitted to these two high-level zombies!

Wang Yong's heart almost leaped out of his chest.

He shouted frantically, "Speed up, rush through! Don't stop!"

The driver was also terrified, slamming the accelerator, wishing he could jump into the engine and pedal the wheels himself.

Little Leopard saw a car moving.

The scent of living beings immediately triggered its bloodthirsty desire.

It bared its teeth, ready to charge.

Dahuang and Erhuang were the same, extremely aggressive.

"Roar."

Little Tiger let out a low growl.

The sound was full of threat, immediately suppressing them.

Little Leopard, Dahuang, and Erhuang's growls turned into low whimpers, a bit aggrieved.

Buzz!

The van sped away under the watchful eyes of the two zombies and two dogs.

Wang Yong's heart pounded wildly.@@novelbin@@

"Are they chasing us? Are they chasing us? I can still go faster!"

The driver shouted.

"Ugh... no... ugh..."

Wang Yong vomited several times before barely sitting up straight.

"You really should... ugh... practice your driving skills..."

The driver gave an awkward smile.

Wang Yong looked back.

The four figures accelerated towards the Haotai Hotel.

In the blink of an eye, they entered the hotel and disappeared.

Suddenly, Wang Yong pieced everything together.

He understood.

The Spirit Dog Gang had likely been wiped out by those two high-level zombies.

Zhao Hong was most likely dead.

The Haotai Hotel and its surroundings had become the territory of those two high-level zombies!

"Get back quickly! We need to tell the boss immediately! Ugh..." Wang Yong growled.

"Alright, I get it, just don't puke on me," the driver nodded.
