Volume 14 Chapter 9: Two Fluffy Fox

Keith had no idea what occurred behind him; the only thought going through his mind was to restock his ingredients. Glancing down at the list, it was going to be a long day.

I need to get a lot of boffalo meat. 

Eating those bones was in the season where Carolyn and the others were quite happy and eager. An explosion of flavor in their mouth was what they wanted. 

“Knight, I’m counting on you to get there again.” "Ngeh!" The horse grunted as the two quickly set off. One by one, Keith hunted down all the monsters he needed. A sigh came out as he stared at the next one on the list.

“Alright, now I need to get some lambton meat.” That was something he was going to get. Keith headed into the dungeon. Been some time since I've been here. The last time he came here was to get the lambton fur for the festival.

“Maaaa!” And it was time to get to work. Keith grinned as he raised his halberd at the lambtons coming his way. Spears came in droves as he swung his halberd, smacking them away!

Had an annoying time dealing with you guys before. 

The main movements of lambtons were to jump around in the trees and frying spears down. He would have to gauge where they would land and intercept them. But now, Keith only needed to charge at them and take them down. Let's keep going! Keith grinned as he swung his halberd in a flurry of motions. 

"I really changed in these last few months." It was surprising since he never thought about it until now. He had been fighting the monsters for some time, but it was repetitive. That repetitive motion was slowly ingrained into him.

How much stronger did he really become?

"..." Keith was staring at the next item. However, that only caused Knight to nudge him, "I know. I know. I have to get them even if I don't want to." A deep groan came out of his mouth as he went out to deal with the cloud pigs. 

While he continued to deal with the monsters before him, 

Carolyn and the others were sipping tea in the garden. It was peaceful and serene, to say the least. Well, there was only one reason why it was.

“Delicious.” The ladies munched on some cookies. That was the only thing that could make them reasonable and calm during these situations. Alfia ate a cookie in one bite. 

Faelyn groaned as she sipped tea, “Princess, you can’t do something like that.” It was unbecoming of a princess!

“Nope! I have to do this no matter what!” The elf princess continued to eat them left and right, but that was when Faelyn sighed, “All of you need to cool it from eating." There was something really wrong with this scenario; so many princesses were here and wolfing down cookies.

“...” What am I going to do about this? Faelyn held her head and was so worried.

“Faelyn, you need to relax; as long as we don’t binge eat, we’ll be fine.” 

"..." You called that not binge eating? 

“I’m home!” Keith called out as he headed to the second island. Eri didn’t hesitate to dash over to try and tackle him down, but she was caught in his arm, “There, there. Eri, I have something to ask; what kind of animal do you like?” 

“Hmm?” The others tilted their heads when they heard that. 

“Fox!” Eri didn’t hesitate to answer.

“I see. Then I’ll make something for you.” Keith sat down beside Carolyn and the others. That was when he took out some materials. Carolyn and the others watched him take out some fluffy materials. 

"Where did you get it?" 

"In the dungeon. It's lambton." 

“Lambton fur is so soft and scrunchy.” The others couldn’t help but watch him work his magic. Once he was finished, 

“Tada!” Keith handed over the stuffed animal.

Eri’s eyes couldn’t help but sparkle as she hugged the little fella. Keith nodded as he watched how happy she was at holding it. Two little foxes together.

“Thank you!” The little fox hugs Keith, and the man strokes her hair. Alfia and the others tilted their heads, “How do you know how to do all of this?” 

This was something they needed to question: how in the world did he know how to sew? It was out of nowhere no less! What other things do he hide from them? 

“That’s because I like to learn new things.”

“Also, he learned about it because of those two,” Carolyn added.

Keith scratched his head, “It was pretty easy to learn.” There were many times when his fingers were poked by the needle. But seeing their faces was so worth it. 

“What a doting father and brother.” Scarlet and the others shook their heads, but that only caused Carolyn and the others to shake their heads at him.

“I'm fine with that!” He was happy with that. But that was when he was going to do something else. 

"So, can you make Faelyn one?"

"Princess?!"

"What? You like stuffed animals. You basically have a collection inside there."
