A Madman in Love

Chapter 36

Suin’s breath hitched.

The words he uttered pierced her heart like a needle.

Jealous…

It wasn’t a feeling she had consciously acknowledged before, but the moment he said it, she understood.

The source of her simmering anger became clear.

Why she had been so furious…

Why she couldn’t stand Seo Jaehee…

“You didn’t answer me.”

Seo Jaehee held her gaze firmly.

“Were you jealous because I was with Yoo Ahjin?”

Their eyes locked, unmoving, as if paralyzed by the intensity of the moment. The sensor lights in the entryway flickered between dim and bright, casting an orange glow over the room.

Even under the sporadic illumination, their gaze remained unbroken, as though neither could bear to let go.

“Were you jealous enough to be angry?”

His husky, low voice softly caressed the bridge of her nose, and just his breath sent a shiver down her spine. Her heart pounded violently in response.

“…”

His eyes, catching the faint orange light, were like a deep red abyss.

She felt an internal struggle. If she fell into them now, would she ever find her way out?

Should she deny it again?

“Do you hate the idea of me being with Yoo Ahjin because you like me? Is that it?”

The question mirrored the accusations Yoo Ahjin had thrown at her before, wrapped in deceitful sweetness.

Or it was like the time Chairwoman Woo Ilhwa had stepped in to resolve her father’s fraud case.

Or even the time when Seo Jaehee had fervently declared his love for her.

“I love you! Damn it, I love you to death!”

Now, should she bury it all again?

Would that be the right choice?

“Lee Suin.”

Her silence seemed to be driving Jaehee mad. The muscles in his neck tensed, his Adam’s apple bobbing as he swallowed hard.

“Is the question too hard to answer?”

The flickering light finally extinguished, leaving only the faint glow spilling from the living room beyond the long hallway. Suin’s internal conflict deepened.

“Or do you just not want to answer it?”

“…”

Because it was Seo Jaehee asking.

Admitting it would unleash a storm she could already foresee.

She wasn’t foolish; the consequences were obvious.

But lying?

She couldn’t bring herself to do that.

“…Neither.”

At last, she broke the silence.

Standing so close to him, she could feel the powerful rhythm of his heart, so strong it seemed ready to burst through his chest.

Unable to bear the sight of his heart breaking, she opened her mouth to speak.

“Yes.”

She exhaled, gathering her courage.

“Jeal—”

Before she could finish the word, his lips descended, swallowing hers in a fervent kiss.

The aggressive collision reignited the sensor light, flooding the room with harsh brightness. Suin’s head tilted back as her lips were captured with a raw, almost desperate force.

Her bag slipped from her hand, falling to the floor.

Jaehee’s strong fingers gripped her jaw, tilting her face upward, while his cast-covered arm wrapped around her waist, spinning her until her back pressed against the wall of the entryway.

His broad chest pinned her in place, the tension in his muscles radiating heat.

Then, his fiery tongue invaded, scorching its way inside.

It was relentless.

The molten heat of his tongue swept across her palate, wrapping around hers, drawing her in with a hunger that felt insatiable. He kissed as if he wanted to consume her entirely.

There was an undeniable urgency in the way he kissed her.

Through every movement, every press of his lips, he conveyed his overwhelming emotions.

Do you even know how much I want you?
Do you even know how much I’ve been longing for you?
I want you. I need you. I love you.

Suin…@@novelbin@@

Suin…

Lee Suin.

Ah…

It was almost magical, the way his emotions seemed to pour into her, sending shivers racing down her spine.

No external force acted on her, yet her lips parted naturally, and her body collapsed into his embrace, as if surrendering itself entirely.

Take me. Hold me. Love me.

“Haa…”

His breath filled her open mouth, greedy and insistent.

He devoured her lips and tongue with such intensity that even the oxygen he gave her felt fleeting.

Her lungs burned as she gasped for air, but Jaehee gave her no reprieve, his body pressing closer as his tongue continued its feverish exploration.

Her head spun.

I can’t breathe…

She tapped his chest lightly, signaling her distress.

At last, Jaehee released her lips and pulled back.

“Haa… haa…”

Gasping for air, Suin greedily inhaled, her chest rising and falling as oxygen rushed into her starving lungs.

“Are you okay?”

His voice, raspy and low, resonated near her ear.

Still panting, Suin nodded weakly, her face flushed and warm.

A faint chuckle escaped him.

Then, his large hand brushed her disheveled hair back, cradling her head as he gently pulled her against his chest.

“Sorry.”

His voice carried an unsteady vibrato, betraying his emotions.

“I couldn’t hold back. I wanted you too much.”

“…Are you really that happy to know I’m jealous?”

She managed to ask, her voice trembling.

“Yeah. It makes me so happy, I could go crazy.”

There was no hesitation in his reply.

He leaned down to plant a kiss on the top of her head, then trailed gentle kisses across her temple and brow.

Peck. Peck.

“Jealousy. That’s all it is, right? There’s nothing else?”

“Yeah. That’s it,” she mumbled, her voice muffled by his shirt.

“Sure,” he murmured back, his tone teasing as his lips brushed against hers once more.

“Really.”

“Uh-huh.”

As she frowned, his tongue lightly grazed her lower lip, teasing her until she shuddered.

Peck.

The kiss was sweet and fleeting. He moved to her ear, his tongue tracing the delicate curve of her earlobe before giving it a playful nip.

“Mm…”

Her body trembled as a sharp shiver shot through her. His teeth grazed her skin again, this time with more intensity, drawing a gasp from her lips.

Her fingers gripped his arm reflexively as his tongue slipped inside her ear, sending waves of heat down her spine.

“Ha…”

A soft moan escaped her as his relentless attention overwhelmed her senses.

The wet sound of his kisses filled the air, consuming her entirely.

Is it really just jealousy?

The question lingered unspoken, his every action challenging her to answer.

“Ha… Jaehee…”

His name spilled from her lips, and at that moment, his hand slipped beneath her blouse.

He found her bra and, without hesitation, cupped her breast in his palm.

“Mmh!”

She bit down on her lip, her voice escaping as a muffled whimper.

His hand kneaded her softly, his thumb circling her sensitive peak, drawing sharp jolts of pleasure that radiated through her body.

Her hands gripped his shoulders, trying to steady herself.

“S-stop…”

Her voice was strained as she pushed against him.

Jaehee finally paused, his head lifting from where it had been buried against her neck.

“You’re trembling.”

He stared into her eyes, his gaze unwavering.

“This isn’t like you. Are you scared?”

“…Yes.”

“Don’t be.”

His deep, reassuring tone only made her cheeks burn hotter. She felt like she might die from the embarrassment alone, her heart racing wildly as his fingers resumed their teasing.

“I’m going to take my time with you.”

His lips curled into a mischievous smile as his hand remained still for a moment, pressing warmly against her.

“You’re too precious to rush.”
