Elves were the most common, but i also saw beasts strolling down the streets alongside regular townsfolk. As i walked, I started feeling hungry and realized i didn’t take any money from Vanniez. But even if i had, would he be able to communicate with the strangers i didn’t even know?

Yota, feeling hungry, stopped near a bridge and gazed at the water below.

The moonlight reflected clearly on the surface of the water. As i stood there, thinking about my hunger, i wondered whether i should return to my room or continue exploring the city. Suddenly, I felt a tap on his shoulder. I turned around and found a young elf girl with golden hair standing there, looking at me.

“..yes..?”

The elf girl asked,

"Are you hungry?"

"Huh? How did you know?"

"Haha, I was right,... Here."

The elf girl then pulled out a piece of bread from her bag and offered it to me. I didn't really like bread, but since i was hungry, i accepted it. I took a bite, and the bread quickly crumbled and melted in his mouth. The taste was so good that i ended up eating the whole thing in no time. The young elf girl in front of me watched as i ate and chuckled.

"Heh, you really look like a kid when you're eating."

I looked at her and remembered how my mom used to say similar things

"I'm 16, you know. I'm not a kid."

"Really? I'm also 16, What’s your name? Ah i am Sero, Jin Sero!”

“I’m Yota Asamura”

“Alright Nice to meet you Yota A..”

Jean said. Jean was about to grab James but another explosion echoed through the city, catching the attention of all of them.

"What? What now this time??"

They all focused on the explosion, but while they were distracted, James, still lying on the ground, suddenly grinned. He quickly broke free from his handcuffs, pulled out his hand, and threw a smoke bomb to the ground, creating a thick cloud of smoke.

"Let's not meet again, idiots."

James said before he completely ran away. Rohan and Jean tried to follow him, but Kikui stopped them.

“Wait, Jean... send these two to the prison. Rohan, you follow that guy and I'll head to the explosion site.'"

Rohan and Jean accepted her instructions and started doing their own task.
