Chapter 89: 054 General Social Etiquette_2

“`

“Sometimes we find ourselves stuck in a predicament, encountering troubles. Partners might argue, differences arise, old friends leave, new friends arrive, and then we embark on the next grand intergalactic voyage… You could say I used to be a bounty hunter.”

The fake Talisha, along with the female bodyguard and living officer beside Emilia, looked at Yang Ming with admiration.

“Bounty hunter?”

Emilia’s eyes sparkled.

She asked softly, “A mercenary who does anything for money?”

...

Yang Ming: …

Actually, they weren’t just in it for the money; in the game, it was also about gaining experience points, skill books, valuable resources, fulfilling collecting hobbies, and so on.

“Yes,” Yang Ming said calmly, “but I’ve quit that line of work, now learning business from my uncle.”

Emilia asked softly, “Why?”

“Your curiosity is a bit too much,” Yang Ming replied slowly, “Some rather unpleasant things happened.”

The living officer was a beautiful woman, appearing to be under thirty, exuding a strong feminine charm.

She said softly, “Your Highness, if the other party has citizenship recognized by another country and no criminal record, we shouldn’t pry into their privacy.”

“I understand,” Emilia said softly, “I just think his fees are too high.”

Yang Ming laughed, “That’s because you’re worth it. So, where should I take you? Directly near the palace?”

“I’m afraid not,” Emilia said, “Can I hide out at your place for a bit? If the guards or military arrest me now, these three will face a three-to-five-year sentence.”

The three women traveling with her immediately revealed bitter smiles.

Yang Ming asked, “Do you have any ideas to prevent that from happening?”

“I want them to pretend to have found me actively,” Emilia said, “That way they can redeem themselves, and I also need to contact my second brother in advance to pressure the interior officials. Plus, I want to see how things develop if I go missing, putting some pressure on my father and brothers.”

Yang Ming slightly frowned, “The place I live is the hotel you visited earlier. As long as you appear in public, you can’t escape the ubiquitous surveillance.”

“I can solve this problem…”

The beautiful living officer interrupted Yang Ming, her face showing a hint of embarrassment as she said softly,

“I’m a super core member of that hotel, there’s a secret passage available, absolutely no surveillance. I can even book a room no one would know about.”

“Oh,” Yang Ming raised an eyebrow, exchanging a glance with the living officer through the rearview mirror.

Emilia puzzled, “Why do you have a super core membership there? Do you often go?”

“Your Highness… I’m a mentally and physically healthy single woman…”

“Huh?” Emilia tilted her head.

Yang Ming laughed, “Children shouldn’t ask too much. You’ll understand the social etiquette among the nobility when you grow up.”

Emilia slightly pouted.

“I’m not a noble, just an ordinary professional woman, Mr. Bounty Hunter,” the living officer retorted, then started to focus on the booking.

Yang Ming twitched his nose slightly.

He sensed a hint of springtime in the air.

The disappearance of the Fourth Princess caused a minor panic in Ilando City.

It was minor because ordinary citizens didn’t feel anything, continuing with their jobs and entertainment as usual. The panic was mainly among insiders in the military and forces controlled by the royal family.

The royal family worried that the military might have seized the adorable little princess, the apple of the emperor’s eye.

The military feared the royal family would feel threatened, leading to a direct confrontation.

No news came out of the emperor’s study.

The three princes soon received the information, the Second Prince sent his trusted guards to join the search for Emilia.

Vehicles with gold-trimmed license plates raced everywhere;

Men and women in branded uniform coats set up inspections at various intersections.

Small spacecraft were stationed at the city’s edges.

Gudun Mah, controlling the military forces around the Head Star, urgently landed on the surface, entered the Imperial Palace to apologize to the Emperor, and shifted responsibility for the previous ‘mislocked’ incident onto false intelligence released by external spies.

However, amidst this stormy situation,

Kolev was awakened by Yang Ming’s call. At his hotel room door, he received two large boxes of takeout delicacies from room service.

Kolev couldn’t help but mutter, “What kind of mischief is my troublesome nephew up to?”

A few minutes later, Lyu turned off the hallway surveillance near the starlight suite.

Kolev sauntered out with the two takeout boxes, and following Lyu’s guidance, entered the elevator at the end of the hallway, feeling around what seemed just a metal panel at the back, successfully activating another elevator panel.

“Oh, there’s really a thirty-fifth floor?”

The old pirate quickly understood what was happening.

Upon arriving at the thirty-fifth floor, Kolev saw before him a dozen forks in the path.

He entered the third one on the left, reaching a place with what appeared to be rather valuable artwork, found the hidden code lock, and under Lyu’s guidance, opened the secret door concealed by the artwork.

‘Wow, it really is a secret suite.’

Kolev squinted, smiling, though the smile soon froze a little.

In the suite, he saw Yang Ming, the fake Talisha, and two young women.

The old pirate scrutinized Yang Ming with a judgmental gaze, “My dear nephew, you should take care of your health.”

Yang Ming shrugged, “I’m quite robust.”

“I used to think that too,” Kolev set the takeout aside, walked to the doorframe where Yang Ming stood, glanced inside instinctively, then frowned a little deeper.

Kolev whispered, “Don’t tell me… Hey, not even I in my day… would ever engage in such unethical behavior!”

Yang Ming said calmly, “Uncle Haton, this is the Fourth Princess of the Wind Empire, Emilia, and over here are her maid, living officer, and female bodyguard.”

“Oh, this…”

Kolev rubbed his temples, “Fine, tell me what happened after I wake up; I must be dreaming right now.”

Yang Ming turned his head and called, “Your Highness, your children’s meal is here.”

“I ordered a regular meal!”

Emilia muttered, while the living officer had already started unwrapping the food.

Kolev pulled Yang Ming aside to mutter in a corner.

Yang Ming briefly explained that he had accidentally saved Emilia and, in front of the other four people, swore that he definitely hadn’t stirred up any trouble.

Kolev shook his head, “In that case, you should return to your room to rest; if the reputation of a nation’s princess is tarnished, quite dreadful things could occur.”

“I’m already planning to return.”

Emilia put down her fries, called her living officer over, and whispered a few words.

The living officer nodded slightly, then said softly, “Rest assured, I’ll express gratitude on your behalf, personally see him off later, and invite this gentleman for a cup of coffee.”

“Skip the coffee,” Yang Ming laughed, “You better not go out, it’s easy to be exposed.”

Despite his words, the living officer insisted on escorting Yang Ming and Kolev out of the hidden suite, gently closing the ‘painting door.’

“You can just see us off to here,” Kolev said softly.

The living officer smiled and nodded, then moved to the next painting and winked at Yang Ming.

Yang Ming received the signal.

After sending Kolev back to the starlight suite, Yang Ming took the hidden elevator again, returning to the thirty-fifth floor, and stood in front of the painting where the living officer had last stood.

The painting wall slowly slid open, revealing a fair hand that grasped Yang Ming’s collar, gently pulling him into the newly opened suite.

The dim lighting in the room reflected the beauty before him, igniting a warm rush in Yang Ming’s heart.

The two figures came together like magnets.

On the bedside table, the electric drawer opened automatically, revealing a box of… contraceptives.

“This is a reward,” she whispered lightly in Yang Ming’s ear.

“From the Empire?”

“No, a personal reward for my own warrior.”

“Ha, yawn.”

Emilia yawned, hugging a pillow on the bed, muttering, “Why hasn’t the living officer returned, it’s been two hours since she left.”

“She’s engaging in social activities,” the fake Talisha said softly, “Your Highness should sleep, do you want me to tell you a story?”

“I’ve grown up, and I’m trying to help our country, I don’t need… just tell me the story of Little Bear Gulu Gulu…”

“Okay, Your Highness, sleep peacefully.”
