Chapter 100: 100 What happened last night?
Chapter 100: Chapter 100 What happened last night?
“What happened last night?”
Although he had already guessed, he still felt heart-wrenching pain.
He stood still, not going inside.
Behind him, Weina shook her head at the situation before her.
The foolish lovers in this world!
…
Today, Meixi’s mood was very good.
Thinking about last night’s rain on the tent and the night they spent in the jeep made her want to laugh involuntarily.
Every time she laughed unconsciously, Bi Yuanhang’s heart ached.
In the afternoon, Gu Wei called Meixi, asking if she wanted to come to his dorm tonight.
Torn, she turned her head and saw Bi Yuanhang, and she immediately agreed.
Although she and Bi Yuanhang were not in the same room, they stayed in the same yard at night, and it was hard not to let people speculate given their living situation alone.
She didn’t want Gu Wei to overthink.
Bi Yuanhang had already heard Meixi’s conversation and knew she was going out again tonight.
He couldn’t help but feel sorrow well up inside him.
In the evening, Meixi picked up a large bag containing a change of clothes, toiletries, and slippers.
“Are you going to stay out tonight?” Bi Yuanhang asked.
Meixi nodded, instructing him, “I won’t be coming back tonight, remember to take the keys when you go out.”
Bi Yuanhang then asked, “Do you feel inconvenienced since I arrived?”
“A little bit,” Meixi admitted frankly.
She didn’t really like staying at Gu Wei’s dorm; it always felt too stern.
Sadly, they couldn’t rent a better house near the border.
Bi Yuanhang gave a bitter smile.
When he wasn’t here, their bond might not have been as close, but his arrival somehow seemed to bring them even closer.
“Well, I’m leaving. If there’s an emergency in the middle of the night, or something you can’t handle, you can call me. I’ve left the car keys at the door if you need them, you can drive,” he said.
Bi Yuanhang nodded, “Then go ahead.”
…
Meixi hired a tricycle in town to go to Gu Wei’s dorm.
Of course, she could have asked Gu Wei to pick her up, but his job was always busy, and she didn’t want to disturb him.
Moreover, it wasn’t good for a soldier to be constantly clinging to his spouse.
Upon arriving at Gu Wei’s dorm and seeing all the military-green equipment and various slogans on the walls, she felt her breathing become tense.
It was too stern.
Gu Wei had not gotten off work yet, so she sat alone in his room.
His desk was covered with documents and books, the former being data transmitted from higher-ups, which Meixi had no interest in.
The books were reference materials like radar detection, too arcane for her to understand.
After flipping through them for a while, she yawned and unknowingly dozed off with her head resting on the desk.
After some time, she felt someone gently wiping the corner of her mouth.
As she opened her eyes, she saw Gu Wei smiling in front of her.
She immediately covered her mouth.
This embarrassing habit of drooling in her sleep, how could she ever cure it?
She was mortified!
“Did you have a nice dream?” Gu Wei asked with a smile.
“I didn’t dream.”
“Did you dream of eating something delicious?” he asked gently, then pulled her closer.
“I didn’t dream of anything delicious, but I am very hungry,” she replied.
The intimacy between them grew, and so did the softness in her voice, especially with a hint of coquetry that seemed to melt his heart.
“That’s perfect, I got us some food from the cafeteria, let’s eat together.”
Gu Wei brought two stainless steel lunchboxes; one of them was Meixi’s.
Opening the lunchbox lids, one contained braised lion’s head meatballs, and the other had braised pork.
“It’s all pork!” she exclaimed with pleasure.
Gu Wei said, “Choose whichever you like, feel free to pick.”
“I want to try a little of each, is that okay?”
“Of course, we can share. We’re married now, why be so formal?” Gu Wei said.
He was still holding her, and she wanted to move out of his embrace and sit on another chair.
But Gu Wei wouldn’t let go, still keeping her seated on his lap.
“How can I eat while you’re holding me?” she asked.
“Then you can feed me.” He refused to let go and acted playfully stubborn.
“No way!” She struggled a bit, but every tiny movement would make her bump into his certain part, fearing that it would arouse him, so she dared not move further.
She had no choice but to pick up a box of food, eat a bite herself, then feed him a bite.
Every time he opened his mouth for the food, he would linger at her chopsticks, sucking on them a bit, eyes gazing at her as if he wasn’t just eating food, but devouring her.
Accidentally, a piece of green vegetable fell onto his chest.
Normally, he could pick it himself, but his hands were busy embracing her, leaving him unable to reach.
She wanted to pick it for him.
However, as she moved, the vegetable slid down to right below his belly.
At that spot…
She glanced at him, and he continued to play stubborn, refusing to move.
She reluctantly reached out with two fingers and slowly pinched it up.
This meal had her heart racing and face flushing.
After finishing the meal, he held her close, his hand stroking her body as if he was merely petting a little cat he held.
What was all this?
About 10 minutes later, Gu Wei’s phone rang. He grumbled a few noises, then said to her, “I have to work the night shift later tonight, I’ll come back and join you in the latter half of the night. After you bathe, go to sleep, alright?”
“You have to work again?” Su Meixi felt a bit disappointed.
She wanted to be with him all night.
“Be good, it’ll be quick.” Gu Wei kissed her on the forehead and then her lips for a while, before he reluctantly left.
Once she stepped out, the dormitory was again left to her alone.
She went to wash up, then lay back on the bed.
The signal here was bad, she couldn’t play on her phone, the books weren’t good, and she had already napped before dinner, so she wasn’t sleepy at all now.
All she could do was stare blankly at the slogans on the wall.
Gradually, she fell asleep deep into the night.
…
At the health center.
Bi Yuanhang sat alone in the courtyard.
The internet was spotty, and after dark, the streets were all quiet.
Only the small restaurant was still lively.
The weather had recently improved, and tourists to Wu Bian Town had increased again.
Bi Yuanhang, bored, went to the small restaurant again.
There were two tables of tourists eating, Weina was at the counter settling accounts.
Seeing Bi Yuanhang coming, Weina looked up, then called out from a distance, “Haven’t had dinner yet?”
Bi Yuanhang walked over, glanced behind her at the bar, then said, “Two bottles of beer.”
“With your drinking capacity, aren’t you afraid of getting drunk later?”
“Beer’s fine,” Bi Yuanhang said.
“Anything else besides beer?”
“Some spicy beef with my drink,” Bi Yuanhang said.
“Take a seat, I’ll bring it right over,” Weina said.
Bi Yuanhang paused, giving Weina a look.
Weina, puzzled, asked, “What are you looking at me for?”
A nearby cheeky tourist said, “Boss lady, are you really going to serve this young man?”
What do you think?
