Chapter 98: Chapter 98 I Want to Have You Completely
“Wife, this time I’m definitely going to truly have you!” Gu Wei panted as he lay on top of her.
Su Meixi blushed as she responded to him, “Mhm.”
His hands roamed over her body, and just as he was about to undress, at that moment, the sound of pitter-patters echoed from the tent.
It was raining!
Su Meixi’s attention shifted, “Gu Wei, it’s raining!”
In Wu Bian Town, it was rare to get rain even once in several months, yet now of all times it decided to pour down.
As a soldier often active outdoors, Gu Wei had guessed there would be rain tonight when he couldn’t see the stars, but he hadn’t expected this rain to come at such an inconvenient time.
“We don’t need to worry about it, we have the tent,” Gu Wei didn’t want to hold back any longer, today no one would ruin his moment!
With no choice, Su Meixi immersed herself once again.
However, the rain grew heavier and the wind began to howl, causing the tent to bulge with a large dip.
Su Meixi got distracted again.
“Stop getting distracted!” Gu Wei reminded her.
Su Meixi once again tried to devote her full attention.
Yet, suddenly, one corner of the tent was blown open, followed by the second, the third, and at last, a gust of wind swept in; they felt a chill over their heads, accompanied by the sound of wind and rain, as the entire tent was lifted by the breeze, exposing them to the elements.
Now, they no longer had any desire to continue.
Gu Wei held the person beneath him tightly to prevent her from getting wet in the rain.
Then he quickly found the car keys and swiftly carried Su Meixi into the car.
Su Meixi’s clothes had been taken off and got wet from the rain; she started to sneeze as soon as she got into the car.
The temperature at night was quite low here, and it got even colder with the wind and rain; they had to turn on the heater.
Gu Wei’s tent had been blown away, who knows where to, so he had no choice but to quickly pack up the stuff into the car trunk before getting in the car himself.
“Are you cold, wife?” There were blankets in the car, and Su Meixi wrapped herself up tightly.
“A little,” Su Meixi said, followed by another sneeze.
Gu Wei hurriedly held her tightly.
But he too was wet.
“Gu Wei, don’t you want to go back and change your clothes?” Su Meixi asked, “I’m afraid you’ll catch a cold like this.”
“I have clothes in the car,” Gu Wei usually sweated a lot, so he always kept a change of clothes in the car.
He also put one of his shirts on Su Meixi.
Then the two of them snuggled together under the blanket.
Outside, the sound of wind and rain pattered against the car.
Despite being safe inside the car, the mood had vanished.
Gu Wei asked Su Meixi, “Should I take you back to your dormitory?”
Su Meixi shook her head, “No.”
Right now, she just wanted to be with Gu Wei.
She asked Gu Wei, “Do you want to go back?”
He shook his head, “I already told them I’m not going back to the dormitory tonight; it would be difficult to explain at this point, and the military has its own discipline.”
“So… what do we do now? Are we going to spend the night in the car?”
Gu Wei thought for a moment and said, “I know a place where we can take shelter from the wind and rain. We’ll drive there and then spend the night in the car, okay?”
“I’ll listen to you,” Su Meixi thought to herself, as long as I’m with him, that’s all that matters.
…
In the small diner, the owner Weina looked at Bi Yuanhang, who was unconscious from drinking, and also felt torn.
She thought about taking him back, but with the heavy wind and rain outside, even though it was just across a street, it wasn’t convenient.
It was already the wee hours of the morning, the diner no longer had any customers, and Weina herself had yawned several times.
It seemed she wouldn’t be waiting for Bi Yuanhang to wake up on his own.
The layout of the small diner was similar to that of a clinic, with a front yard and back yard; the diner was at the front, and the living quarters at the back.
The chef and waitstaff were locals and didn’t stay here, so Weina lived alone.
The backyard still had two rooms intended for rent, but no one ever took them, so sometimes when the town’s hotels were full, she would use them as temporary lodging.
So, Weina and the waitress together hoisted Bi Yuanhang into one of the empty rooms in the backyard, threw him onto the bed, covered him with a quilt, and then left him alone.
…
Bi Yuanhang woke up at 6 a.m.
Upon waking, he felt a throbbing headache and a stomachache, the latter due to not eating anything, and the headache… he had gotten drunk last night.
He clumsily got up, the room was still dark, but there was a nightlight on.
After sitting up, he glanced around the room and realized he wasn’t in Dr. Ma’s room.
Where was this?
He struggled to his feet with his head spinning, opened the door, and saw a strange courtyard under the dim night sky.
The yard was filled with pots and wooden buckets for swill; seeing these, he guessed this must be the backyard of a small diner.
He shook his head, trying to clear the fog in his mind.
If he was staying in the backyard of a small diner, then where was Su Meixi?
She had gone out with Gu Wei last night, and he wondered if she had come back.
No, he had to go back and check.
He walked to the backyard gate, tried to open it, but found this lock was different from the one at the clinic, and after a lot of fiddling, he still couldn’t unlock it.
The noise woke Weina.
Weina got up in a foul mood, irritated at being woken up, she came out cursing, “What’s all the racket? In the dead of night, can’t you sleep and let others sleep?”
Bi Yuanhang turned around to see Weina yawning, and retorted angrily, “Who was it who decided to put me to sleep here?”
Weina grew even more furious, “Who decided? You were drunk as a lord in my diner last night. If I hadn’t brought you here, would you prefer to have slept inside the diner?”
Bi Yuanhang said, “How far is the clinic from the diner? If you could bring me here, you could’ve taken me to the clinic. I think you were… up to something!”
Weina was livid, she walked over, opened the door for Bi Yuanhang, and then pointed at the door, “Then get lost, and don’t come back here to drink yourself stupid again. If there’s a next time, I’ll throw you out on the street to sleep!”
No sooner had Bi Yuanhang been kicked out than the door slammed shut behind him.
He had no choice but to head toward the clinic.
The clinic’s door was already locked, and that’s when he remembered he hadn’t asked Su Meixi for a key.
He had to knock on the door, but despite a long wait, no one came to open it.
Could it be she hadn’t come back last night?
The day had not yet dawned, and the temperature was still very low; he regretted having just angered the proprietress, so he had to curl up at the door and wait.
As day broke, Bi Yuanhang noticed that the street was very muddy; it must have rained last night.
So, that was why the proprietress hadn’t brought him back.
He had misunderstood her!
…
With the dawn, Su Meixi woke up in Gu Wei’s arms.
Last night Gu Wei had parked his car on the sheltered side of a hill, which offered protection from the wind and rain.
Then he cracked a window open, and they both reclined their seats, cuddling to sleep.
In Gu Wei’s embrace, Su Meixi had slept soundly and even dreamed a lovely dream, in which she was back to her childhood, her parents loving, and she like a little Princess, having her hair braided every day.
Waking up to find Gu Wei beside her, she couldn’t help but smile.
The reason for such a happy dream was because of Gu Wei; he gave her a full sense of security.
“Awake?” Gu Wei asked softly.
“Mm, didn’t you sleep?” she inquired.
She woke up to find him staring at her.
“I got enough sleep,” he said.
“But I feel like you’ve been watching me the whole time.”
After speaking, she touched the corner of her mouth.
She wondered if she drooled in her sleep?
What do you think?
