Chapter 1761: Dragon Mountain

Chapter 1761: Dragon Mountain

The Vaergahl Family were having a small exchange with Dragons. After probing a little bit, Grey found out that the main purpose of this trip wasn't the exchange, rather, it was to discuss another matter.

The deeper they went into the Inner Court, the stronger the elemental essence in the area. They soon got to the depths of the Inner Court. A large mountain range lay before them, with countless mountains spreading as far as the eyes could see. Looking closer, Grey noticed that there was an extremely large mountain that looked to be in the middle of the mountain range. This mountain rose into the sky, its peak hidden by the clouds.

The ship flew them straight for the large mountain. And it was only after they got close did Grey sense the magnificent aura coming from this mountain. Any Elementalist below the Overlord Plane will most likely not be able to survive for a long period in such an environment.

The large mountain had many caves on it. From the feet of the mountain all the way to the part that disappeared into the sky.

This wasn't Grey's first time seeing a Magical Beast's Clan, so he wasn't too shocked by the scene of Dragons leisurely resting in their caves. Some could be seen flying in and out of different caves. Seeing the numbers of Dragons, he couldn't help but shake his head at how low their number was. The other Magical Beast's Clans he has been to each had at least thirty to forty times the number of Dragons here. The Dragons only numbered in hundreds, which showed how few they were.

Although the Dragons had fewer numbers, the majestic aura, and shocking uniqueness of where they resided easily showed their superiority to the other Magical Beasts.

The large flying ship quickly attracted the attention of all the Dragons present. The gazes of these Dragons were mostly hostile, but none of them made any moves to attack. They looked at the ship for a short while, and only after hearing a soft roar from the top of the mountain did the Dragons withdraw their gazes and go about their day, seemingly ignoring the presence of the ship and the humans inside.

Grey also found out that the old man he suspected had a very high status among the ranks of the Vaergahl Family was actually the Family Head of the Family.

The old man was currently in front of the ship which stopped sailing after getting within three hundred meters of the large mountain. Seeing the Dragons ignore them, the old man didn't show any surprised expression. This wasn't the first time he came here, and he has experienced this same scene every time.

He motioned for the ship to continue sailing before disappearing from view. Grey didn't know how the old man disappeared, but no matter how he tried, he couldn't sense the aura of the old man anywhere. He already knew that the gap between him and these Half God Plane experts was large, and experiencing this in addition to all his previous encounters with these experts, he couldn't hold back the feeling of yearning he had towards this type of power. If he could get this type of strength, then he could do whatever he wanted. He wouldn't even have any problems with single-handedly defeating the Gnomes. With his means, he could sneak into the Gnome World and cause unimaginable damage to their core, something that'll force the Gnomes not to dare invade the Aurora Continent. Unfortunately, that's a strength he knew he couldn't possess in a short time.

The ship soon flew into the clouds, ascending even higher, going above the clouds and seeing a three hundred meters opening on the body of the mountain. Everyone jumped out of it, landing on the cold mountain. Looking around, Grey felt like this opening was cut out from the mountain by something or someone very powerful. At the edge of the other side of the opening was a smooth wall, and also multiple small caves.

The group didn't stay there for long as a large figure descended from the sky, landing on the ground before the group. A black colored Dragon, with black glistening scales, its fiery dark red eyes stared at the group standing there.

"How come I can't Lucas?" A deep voice resounded in the opening.

"Sir Astarot, Lucas was delayed and sent his son in his stead for now." The Vaergahl Family Head who disappeared a few minutes ago mysteriously reappeared beside the Black Dragon, replying in a polite manner.

The Black Dragon snorted coldly before fixing its eyes on Grey.@@novelbin@@

"I wonder if Sir Astarot wishes for the exchange to begin now or if he intends to wait for a day?" The Vaergahl Family Head asked.

Sir Astarot looked at the group and said, "You can rest here for the rest of the day. It's not ideal to have my guests fight as soon as they arrive."

"Then it'll be as Sir Astarot suggested." The Vaergahl Family Head showed complete humility in front of this Black Dragon, showing the stance of a junior in the presence of a senior.

Grey couldn't help but wonder just how powerful this Black Dragon was. If Grey's not mistaken, both the Vaergahl Family Head and Sir Astarot should be in the same cultivation stage. Having the Vaergahl Family Head lower himself to such a level for him showed just how high his strength is. Of course, the fact that he is also a legendary Dragon, one of the leading Magical Beasts.

During the early years of Grey's life, if he was ever told that he'll one day stand in the presence of a Dragon, much less visit their Clan, he'd never have believed it. But since his first encounter with a Dragon in the Trial Land, he has had a few more encounters with Dragons, even going as far as assassinating one of them.

Sir Astarot didn't entertain the group for too long, leaving as soon as he finished his words.
