Chapter 508: 384, White Dove Adventure Group begins live streaming of Nightmare Class level 19.

“Let’s go check it out!”

“Okay!”

The two quickly reached a consensus.

The surrounding area was bustling with people; adventurers had received news of the White Dove Adventure Group starting a live broadcast, and they swarmed toward the branch of the Adventurers’ Guild.

Lin Da stretched out his hand, slipped it around Lia’s slender waist, and held her close.

Lia stiffened as if she had been shocked by electricity.

...

Before she could ask, the Black Eagle Wings on Lin Da’s back suddenly spread out.

Whoosh!

Under the gaze of many astonished eyes, Lin Da, holding Lia, took off with a flap of the wings and soared into the blue sky!

On the street below, Pick and numerous other adventurers gaped at their figures flying above.

The ground was crowded, but the sky was clear.

With a gentle flap of his wings, Lin Da flew several hundred meters away.

From takeoff to landing, it took Lin Da less than five seconds to arrive in front of the Adventurers’ Guild branch.

For Pick and the others, envy turned their eyes red; this was what it meant to be a top-notch adventurer!

Not only could he subdue the gorilla-woman Lia, but he could also fly and was the famous Star-ranked adventurer, practically the protagonist of a wish-fulfillment comic book!

“Hiss… I too want to fly in the sky holding a beautiful girl, so cool! It’s a must-do in my list of ninety-nine things to accomplish in life!”

“Is that ‘Eye of True Knowledge’ Lin Da? What’s he doing in Sparrow District?”

“Don’t you know? Both the ‘Eye of True Knowledge’ and ‘Bursting Flames’ are adventurers who rose from Sparrow District.”

“What?!”

A wave of exclamations erupted from the crowd.

Many new residents of Willow Leaf Street were unaware of the street’s history.

Especially a Beastman resembling a gorilla, who shivered violently, recalling the violent extortion for protection money he was involved in, feeling a chill down his spine.

Having heard that Lin Da was a mild-mannered and just adventurer, once he found out about the protection money, he would probably slap him dead with a single blow!

The gorilla Beastman, who had planned to go watch the live strategy broadcast, stealthily left the crowd, went home to pack his bags, and left Willow Leaf Street.

Other adventurers from Willow Leaf Street, however, were filled with enthusiasm, taking Lin Da as a role model and looking into the future with eyes full of longing.

“Please, this way,” said the man leading them inside.

Inside the main hall of the Adventurers’ Guild branch, a man clad in a dark green jacket, wiped the cold sweat from his forehead.

His name was Brook, and he led Lin Da and Lia to the second-floor viewing platform with a heart full of trepidation.

Not for any other reason than that when Lia was a Level 5 adventurer, Brook had once looked down on her. Now that Lia had become Star Rank, Brook was terrified that she would remember the past and send him to the hospital with a beating.

He felt like he was treading on thin ice the whole way.

Fortunately for him, Lia was preoccupied with the adventure live broadcast and didn’t recognize him.

The second floor had an open-air viewing platform, similar to a restaurant. Despite the main hall being crammed full of people and buzzing with noise, this place was unusually spacious. Among the roughly ten tables, only two were sparsely occupied, both by adventurers of level ten or higher.

This was not surprising, as reaching level ten in Sparrow District was considered the peak.

The more impressive ones had all moved to the better-secured Inner City District.

The adventurers at those two tables recognized Lin Da and Lia. They straightened up and bowed slightly to Lin Da and Lia.

Lin Da casually nodded his head and sat down at the table near the stair railing.

“I’ve arrived a bit late…”

He muttered to himself, his gaze shifting to the large hanging screen on the first floor.

On it, the figures of Abner and his team appeared.

The 19th floor of the Mystic Realm, known as “Lava Cave,” was limited to a maximum of 10 entrants.

In the scene, there was a lava river about twenty meters wide, meandering endlessly, appearing like a fire snake entrenched upon the earth.

Red rocks lined both banks, hissing and emitting smoke, forming a pale red steam like a thin mist.

Abner and his team, with serious expressions, were confronting a massive Magical Creature: a python that thrived in the lava pool, easily flinging tons of lava with every flick of its tail.

The python was covered with dark red scales, and its belly had two pairs of short legs, much like those of a gecko.

It seemed that Abner’s group was facing some kind of difficulty, allowing the Heavy Armored Warrior to barely hold the front line, while the back ranks weren’t initiating an attack.

Boom! Boom!

The python, twenty meters in length and as thick as a water barrel, repeatedly slammed its tail against the large shield of the Heavy Armored Warrior, producing a deep, muffled sound.

The golden-haired, burly man showed a look of distress, his palms split from the shock, and his shield turned red hot from the intense heat.

The burly man braced it with his shoulder, his muscles charring and fusing with the shield.

Even so, the burly man did not give an inch, his figure standing like an unshakeable iron tower.

“[Solid Shield] Audis, level 37, the strongest Heavy Armored Warrior in White Dove City, and well-known even in South Rock City and Red Heart City,” Lin Da recalled the information in his mind.

The Magical Creature that the White Dove Adventure Group was facing was named the Four-legged Flame Python, a level 39, Epic Four-Star Magical Creature.

Indeed, the creature Abner’s team was strategizing against was not the Flame Giant!

This was indeed the most difficult point of the Nightmare Class challenge.

Lin Da stared at the screen’s depiction of Abner and murmured to himself, “With ten preliminary challenges, each time randomly presenting three, one must conquer them before facing the final boss… Abner, how will you deal with it now?”

In the original plot, Abner reached Moon Rank and, with fellow Moon Ranked adventurers Jite and Gale, overcame numerous obstacles to vanquish the Flame Giant.

On the screen, Abner made no move, and the mages took quite a while to chant a spell, attacking the half-submerged Four-legged Flame Python in the lava river.

“[Solid Shield] Audis at the front was having an extremely difficult time, nearly cooked alive, while the mages and the strongest attacker, Abner, were leisurely releasing their attacks as if they were on a relaxing stroll,” Lin Da thought to himself.

The adventurers in the hall were both anxious and angry, itching to release their eloquent suggestions onto the large screen.

After all, sending suggestions could be done anonymously, so criticizing Abner wouldn’t bring them any worries.

But the issue was, sending a single suggestion within the 19th floor Mystic Realm required at least a level 19 white Demon Core. For adventurers living in Sparrow District, even selling themselves wouldn’t fetch them a 19th level Demon Core.

So all they could do was angrily discuss strategies in the hall:

“Is Abner out of his mind? The Heavy Armored Warrior can barely hold on, and there he is doing nothing as if childishly paralyzed.”

“If it were me, I’d have taken command long ago and taken down that giant python!”

“Yeah, even we could do better than a Star-ranked adventurer.”@@novelbin@@

The criticisms grew louder, with everyone convinced that given the same strength as Abner, they would’ve already dispatched the Magical Creature, conquered the Flame Giant, and led White Dove City to the pinnacle of success.

“That’s enough.”

Just then, a cool voice, sharp as a sword, cut through all the noise and reached the ears of everyone present: “Abner isn’t ‘not acting’; he ‘can’t’ act.”

“Who, who is speaking in my head?!”

“That is… Lin Da? What’s he doing here!”

“And Lia’s here too? Gosh… two Star-ranked adventurers in Sparrow District? The world’s turned upside down, brothers!”
