After Stealing Hero's Mother, I Reincarnated in the Fantasy World!

Chapter 108 Ticket to Rain's Homeworld

"Now let's get down to the real business."

Hearing the seriousness in his voice, her gaze changed as well. She still hadn't taken her hands off the cakes, though.

"Straight to the point. Do you know where to get the Fragments of a Ruined World?"

"Fragments of a Ruined World...? Why do you even need them?"

Their gazes met, but Rain remained silent, not intending to answer her. After a couple minutes of silent confrontation, she answered.

"If you mean those Things that leave behind Ruined Worlds, in centuries of wandering the vastness of outer space, I've only seen a few of them."

She was silent for a moment, as if remembering those times.

"They were shiny and sparkly, so I took a couple pieces for myself. By the way, I don't have them with me, they were left in my Starless Sky Domain in outer space like my other treasures."

"So if we go there now..."

"That's impossible."

Her firm and unequivocal answer followed.

"In the weak state I'm in right now, it's literally suicide."

"We will be eaten by my own kin as soon as we enter outer space. You for subduing me, and me for choosing to obey you rather than die."

Sives took another look at her collar.

Rain had once called it a 'system item' and while she didn't know what that meant, one thing she was sure of was that she wouldn't be able to take it off on her own.

And as much as Sives valued her freedom and pride as a Superior Race, she couldn't die. There were still too many things she didn't have time to do. Rain had promised to let her go in exactly two years, and all she had to do was cling to that ray of hope.@@novelbin@@

"I get it. How long will it take you to fully recover?"

Rain still remembered his first conversation with her on the subject. She had given the same answer then, saying that it would be possible once she regained her strength . So there was nothing for Rain to do but accept it .

"Hmmm."

Sives laid her head down on the cushion, brooding. Her tail swayed slowly from side to side as she gathered her thoughts, assessing her condition.

"As you know, for our Race of Cosmic Wanderers, the Inner World is inextricably linked to our power and the larger and richer it is, the stronger we are. And if you compare my peak state to what it is now..."

She looked around again at the space several meters wide.

"I'm at rock bottom right now."

"Is it that bad?"

Though Rain had seen her past world himself and knew her words were true, he couldn't help but ask.

"Not really. Although it's bad, my condition isn't critical, so it won't take long to recover."

Assessing her condition once more, she nodded as if coming to a conclusion.

"I suppose 100 years will be enough? Ah no, if I use this, the time can be reduced to 98 years." Stay updated via My Virtual Library Empire

Sives pointed to the red velvet Meditation Cushion beside her. It was one of the system's rewards for the Gray incident that Rain had given her.

Despite her reassuring tone, Rain's eyebrows furrowed reflexively.

"We don't have that much time."

He couldn't wait that long.

And visiting her Domain and getting the Fragments was the least of the problems. Rain still hadn't forgotten his original goal for Sives.

She was supposed to help him return to his Home World.

Although his body in the Home World was completely destroyed by the Will of the World and he could not return there, he still had the option to use his current body and physically cross the boundaries of the Worlds.

Of course, with his current strength, he wasn't even close to being capable of such a feat.

However, with Sives, who had lived her entire life in the cold voids of outer space, traveling from one world to another, it was different.

She was literally his ticket to his homeland, so there was no way he could wait that long.

Let alone 100 years, he was unwilling to wait even a year. After all, when his body was destroyed, Liliana Holistar, the mother of the Hero of his Original World, was pregnant.

Although it had now only been a few days since his relocation, who knows what might happen in the future?

The last thing he wanted was to leave her like this for long. Not to mention that he didn't know how the time of this world related to his Original One.

There were so many unanswered questions. And, as bad luck would have it, right now the system was in sleep mode and couldn't answer him.

'I'll have to ask her when she wakes up.'

If it's only been a few days here, how long could it have been there?

A few days? A moment? Or an eternity?

At least he hoped it wasn't the last option.

In any case, he couldn't wait that long.

'What belongs to me must always remain mine.'

It might have been part of his possessive and perverted nature, but he fully embraced it.

Sives looked into his serious face, set in unwavering certainty, but her answer did not change.

"No matter how much you may wish for it, I really can't do anything without my Inner World."

"I'll help you rebuild it."

Her eyes flickered, but he continued without paying attention.

"As I promised you before, we will create your New World."

After the Sives' Rift was sacrificed for her freedom, it was what she wanted more than anything, but still...

"Can I really trust you?"

"Trust?"

Rain grinned.

"You may not trust me, but don't forget the nature of our relationship."

Her gaze dropped to the collar on her again. She'd once been the one who'd tried to kill him and now she'd ended up like this.

'There's really no point in him making empty promises.'

"...Okay."

Rain smiled at her response.

He wasn't lying, he really wanted to recreate her World.

'When her Inner World is created, I will gradually fill it with my traces and make it mine. Just like her body.'

Since the Rift was an independent space, cut off from the outside world, it had to be protected from the influence of the Will of the World. That meant it would be the perfect place for him, Sives, and his women in the future.

"Yes, that's it."

While he was pondering, Sives had already come to some sort of decision.

"Fragments of a Ruined World. Bring them to me. It's the fastest way to restore my Inner World."

'Those Things again?'

Were they such a universal thing that they needed both the system and Sives at once?

"What are you even going to do with them?"

"I will eat them. And regain my power."

"..."

"..."

"Can you really regenerate by eating things? In that case, I have a bunch of old things like swords for you."

"What? No! I'm not some dumping ground for your unnecessary things. Only rare items can help me recover. Usually, the rarer and more unique the item, the better."

Pouting, she added.

"Fragments of a Ruined World, in particular, contain a powerful Law of Space that can greatly accelerate the recovery of my Rift and my powers."

"Got it."

'So, to summarize, Sives needs the Law of Space from the Fragments of a Ruined World, and Nari needs the remnants of the Will of the World. Does that mean they can share them?'

It's like killing two birds with one stone.

'Now I'm even more determined to get them.'

"Okay, I'll bring them to you."

Sives nodded in response to his assertion, and then her eyes turned serious.

"Actually, I need one more thing that's much more important than Fragments right now."

"What's that?"

"Get me another bed, I can't sleep on yours all the time! It doesn't even have time to dry!"

She pointed to the wet marks on the sheets.

'But it was Eliana who did all this, not me.'

"But isn't it cozier this way?"

"No!"

"Okay, I think I know what you want."

Rain nodded her head.

"Next time I'll make sure the sheets have exactly your juices on them…"

"G-get outta here!"

With those words, his private conversation was prematurely ended and he returned to the real world.
