After Transmigrating into a Novel with My Boyfriend, He Turned Out to Be a Native Villain

Chapter 20: Jealousy

By the time Cecil carefully pushed open the door, the pitch-black room held only a single figure—

A woman, sitting blankly at the edge of the bed.

Seeing him enter, she pressed a hand to her temple, brows furrowing in confusion. Her voice carried the lingering haze of intoxication, tinged with drowsy bewilderment.

“…Cecil? Why are you here? Where is this? And why is it so noisy downstairs?”

Moonlight streamed through the window, illuminating her golden hair as it spilled across the bed.

The dazed look on her face added a touch of innocence to her already exquisite features. Even in such a state, she was breathtakingly beautiful.

“It’s nothing, Miss Filia. Weren’t you asleep?”

Yet, Cecil remained cautious. His eyes were sharp with suspicion—he was afraid Filia might have been possessed as well.

The moment he entered, he had sensed a heavy presence of death lingering in the room.

Something had definitely been here.

He swept his gaze around warily, only to hear Filia’s puzzled voice again.

“Mr. Cecil? Did something happen? I only woke up because I heard noises downstairs. Did the power go out?”

She seemed to be sobering up, steadying herself against the nightstand as she slowly stood. But she still swayed slightly.

Cecil couldn’t detect any trace of a ghostly presence on her.

He exhaled quietly, relieved.

Just as he reached out to support the wobbly woman, she raised a hand to decline.

“I’m fine now. Just a little confused about the situation.”

In truth, Yu Li was simply avoiding another jealous tantrum—and another bite.

Seeing that she could stand, Cecil hesitated before pulling his hand back. His eyes darkened, and his tone grew serious.

“Miss Filia, the situation is complicated. Joeci has been possessed—she’s extremely dangerous now.”

He paused briefly before continuing,

“This might be difficult for you to believe, but this is—”

“No need, I believe you.”

Yu Li pressed her fingers against her temple, her face troubled. “Jodie mentioned something before, but I found it hard to believe at the time. If you say it’s true, then I trust you.”

Her instant acceptance caught Cecil off guard.

He had never encountered someone like Filia before.

For a moment, he was stunned, his prepared explanation stuck in his throat. Then, regaining his composure, he nodded in relief.

“Thank you for trusting me.”

【LMAO, you fool, my sis can even fool ghosts.】

【Sorry, Mr. Cecil, but the person standing in front of you is the wife of the final boss.】

【I’m losing it. I’ve never seen an NPC like Filia before—her acting is better than some actual players!】

【Honestly, if you hadn’t reminded me, I would’ve forgotten she’s an NPC. I keep thinking she’s a player.】

【Same here. I’ve never seen a storyline unfold like this before.】

【It’s all thanks to Bo Boss’s terminal case of love-brain. (Sighs dramatically at a 45-degree angle)】

Cecil handed Yu Li a cross, his expression solemn.

“Hold onto this. Let’s go downstairs and gather with the others. We’ll deal with this when morning comes.”

Sunlight—light itself—was always the best weapon against demons and ghosts.

Yu Li nodded and accepted the cross.

But just as they were about to leave the room—

A commotion erupted downstairs.

A loud BANG echoed as a door was violently slammed shut, followed by the chaotic clatter of chairs being knocked over.

Women screamed.

Someone shouted desperately—

“Joeci! Let go of Jodie!”

Cecil’s expression darkened instantly.

Not good!

The ghost had lured him away on purpose!

Before he could say anything, Yu Li spoke first.

“You go check downstairs. I’m still a little lightheaded—I’ll follow behind you slowly.”

“Alright. Be careful. The ghost might still be around.”

Cecil handed her a candle before quickly making his way downstairs.

Watching him leave, Yu Li finally dropped her act.

By the flickering candlelight, she glanced at the cross in her hand—then calmly set it aside on the nearby table.

A ghost?

She already had one by her side.

Downstairs.

Cecil was greeted by pure chaos.

Jiang Xi lay unconscious on the ground, blood pooling heavily from her forehead.

Joeger lay motionless in her arms, also unconscious.

Hou Liang, clutching his shoulder, staggered toward the door, his face stricken with fear.

The moment he saw Cecil, he looked as if he had seen his savior.

“Cecil! Joeci dragged Jodie outside!!”

His eyes were bloodshot as he quickly explained.

“Everything was fine until Joeger suddenly started acting possessed. She walked straight toward the front door and tried to open it. Jodie ran after her to stop her, but Joeci was outside! She grabbed Jodie by the hair and yanked her out! Elia and I got hit by flying chairs!”

“They must be heading for the lake!! Joeci went there before! We have to save Jodie!!”

Cecil’s brows furrowed as his gaze fell on the unconscious Jiang Xi.

Just as he was about to speak—

A slender, fair hand reached out and hovered over Jiang Xi’s nose and lips.

Yu Li’s expression was serious.

Feeling the faint breath against her fingers, she let out a quiet sigh of relief, her tense brows relaxing slightly.

She looked up at them, her soft voice carrying a calming reassurance.

“She’s fine. She just passed out.”

Yu Li stood and spoke steadily.

“Mr. Cecil, you and Jodie’s father should go after them. I’ll stay here.”

There was still another ghost lurking nearby.

Cecil had no choice but to nod.

“Alright. I’ll leave this to you, Miss Filia.”

The moment they left, only Yu Li remained fully conscious.

A shadowy figure slowly emerged at her side—

Tall, shrouded in darkness, barely solidified.

Bo Jingmo had shared a portion of his power with Da Dong, making it difficult for him to fully materialize.

He leaned down, his cold presence brushing against her cheek as he murmured in a low voice,

“Filia, should I kill this woman first?”

“If I consume her, my power will grow.”

Bo Jingmo had initially told Da Dong to kill this family because he sensed that Yu Li disliked senseless slaughter.

But if she gave her approval—

Then he would kill without hesitation.

His words were dripping with temptation, as if urging her to cross the line with him—to let herself fall, to become tainted and twisted just like him.

Yu Li’s brow arched slightly as she gazed at the unconscious woman on the floor, her fingertips absently tracing patterns in the air.

If the female lead died…

She let out a quiet laugh, then turned her head and pressed a kiss against the black mist swirling around Bo Jingmo.

Her voice was slow and teasing.

“My dear, I don’t like it when you eat other women’s souls. It makes me jealous.”

The possessiveness in her words made Bo Jingmo shudder with excitement.

He breathed in her scent, his black eyes narrowing as his tone dripped with pure adoration.

“I’ll listen to you.”

Naturally, they couldn’t just leave Jiang Xi lying on the floor.

Yu Li carefully treated the wound on her forehead before carrying her to the sofa.

Bo Jingmo had initially wanted to help.

But the moment Yu Li casually said, “I don’t like it when you touch other women,” he immediately backed off.

Once everything was settled, Yu Li dusted off her hands, then turned to the door and crooked her finger at Bo Jingmo.

She grinned.

“Come, my dear. Let’s go watch the show.”

Her tone was the same as if she were coaxing a puppy.

And just like that—Bo Puppy happily trotted over.

The chat erupted again.

【Oh, oh, oh! A total wife simp! I respect it.】

【Filia: Training a dog is this easy.】

【I’ve taken so many screenshots. I can’t wait for Bo Jingmo to regain his memories and absolutely lose his mind over this.】

【Same! He used to act all cold and aloof as a human. Tsk tsk.】

【Jiang Xi almost died… Thank god for Filia’s possessiveness.】

【The female lead buff is real. Protagonists always escape death.】

【Shut up, just watch. I’m deep in my CP feels right now!】
