Akame ga Kill: Starting with Dual Kamui

Extra: Esdeath (2)

“A child? Wait, do you really understand what that means?”

Blayn was still a bit stunned. He hadn’t expected Esdeath, of all people, to bring up something like this so suddenly.

“Of course I do. I know both the method and the outcome.”

Esdeath gave a faint smile, as if this were just another casual decision for her.

“Well, if you’ve thought it through, then I have no objections.”

Blayn’s expression grew serious.

“So, come on. Kiss me.”

Esdeath was as direct as ever, wasting no words.

Blayn, not wanting to be seen as hesitant, took the initiative and kissed her.

Before long, with Blayn half-pushing and Esdeath half-pulling, the two of them collapsed onto the bed.

...

The night passed.

Though they had exhausted themselves, Blayn’s strong physique ensured he was fine. He was just a little drowsy—after all, he hadn’t slept at all.

Eventually, he and Esdeath drifted off in each other’s arms.

...

Not long after, Esdeath suddenly started experiencing bouts of nausea.

She wasn’t familiar with this kind of reaction and found it strange that her body was acting up like this—especially since she hadn’t been sick in ages...

However, she didn’t give it much thought and chose not to mention it to Blayn right away.

It wasn’t until the nausea became more frequent and her mood worsened that she finally considered discussing it with him.

But when she entered the living room, she saw Blayn sitting with Kurome, sharing desserts and chatting with her, seemingly enjoying himself.

Her already irritated mood soured even further.

Although Esdeath didn’t say a word, Blayn could feel the temperature in the room drop sharply. He turned his head and, sure enough, found Esdeath standing there.

“Esdeath, what’s wrong?”

Blayn asked immediately.

“...Nothing.”

Her voice was icy as she turned and walked away.

She wasn’t sure what was wrong with her, but she felt the need to calm down alone.

However, Blayn had already noticed that something was off with her, and there was no way he would just ignore it.

“Sorry, Kurome, I need to go.”

“Alright...”

Kurome didn’t seem to mind, continuing to eat the snacks Blayn had bought her with an expressionless face.

Blayn quickly went after Esdeath.

“Esdeath, you’re acting strange today. What’s wrong?”

He called out as he caught up to her.

“...”

Esdeath didn’t want to answer, but seeing that she couldn’t shake him off, she turned and shot him a cold glare.

“Aren’t you having fun chatting with that little girl, Kurome? Why don’t you go back and keep her company?”

“...You’re definitely acting strange today. If something’s wrong, just tell me.”

Blayn gave her a slightly awkward smile. Normally, Esdeath wouldn’t speak to him like this.

If she were upset about something, she’d usually be straightforward and commanding—telling him outright not to get too close to Kurome. But today, there was an unfamiliar hint of grievance in her tone, almost as if she were sulking.

“...Yeah, I do feel a little off today.”

Esdeath fell silent for a moment before admitting it.

She didn’t know why she was acting this way—perhaps it was the persistent nausea, though it didn’t quite feel like ordinary nausea.

Finally, she decided to stop beating around the bush and told Blayn exactly what was happening.

Even Blayn needed a moment to process what she was saying. After all, this wasn’t something he was particularly knowledgeable about.

Once he finally caught on, he hesitated for a moment before saying, “Esdeath... Could it be that you’re already pregnant?”
