They entered the supermarket, and Chi Yan immediately withdrew his superpower.

He was still dry and comfortable.

“Brother Chi, your superpower is really handy,” Lin Murong said with envy. Why couldn’t his superpower be used like that?

Walking in such heavy rain, except for the Water Element Superpower Users, other Superpower Users, no matter how strong, would still get drenched like a dog.

This highlighted Chi Yan’s composure.

“You guys go ahead, I’m going to cook some noodles,” Su Yinhe greeted them, then prepared to go upstairs to make today’s breakfast.

...

Lin Murong didn’t catch her meaning right away.

“What do you mean by ‘go ahead’?” Lin Murong looked to Chi Yan, who was clever; he believed Chi Yan would enlighten him.

“Just a moment,” Chi Yan didn’t particularly want to stand with a fool and found a corner, where he pulled up a chair.

Quieten down to wait.

Lin Murong had no chair, and seeing Chi Yan like that, he had no impulse to get another one for himself.

So, he started to play with the cashier robot. After all, he had been a cashier for a few hours; now he came to get familiar with his colleague to maintain a good relationship with them.

After seeing that he could exchange Crystal Cores for money on the small blackboard, he rummaged through his pockets, found a few Crystal Cores, exchanged them for money, and bought some snacks. Holding the snacks, he started chatting with the cashier robot.

The noodles were cooked quickly; with space available and not worrying about leftovers, Su Yinhe made a lot. If she couldn’t finish them, she’d just store them in her space. Later on, she wouldn’t need to cook—she could simply take them out whenever she wanted to eat.

After storing the cooked noodles in her space, Su Yinhe fried several sunny-side-up eggs, all with different doneness. After the eggs, she fried a few slices of luncheon meat.

Then she put everything into a ceramic bowl, which also went into her space.

When Su Yinhe came down, Lin Murong was chatting happily with the robot, severely delaying the robot’s work.

The people in line were angry but didn’t dare to speak out.

“What is he doing?” Su Yinhe asked Chi Yan. She hadn’t realized that cashier robots could be used for chatting.

“Exploring, I guess.” Chi Yan, seeing her come down, smoothly set up tables and chairs.

Su Yinhe waited until he finished setting up, harmoniously grabbing the bowls and chopsticks.

“Here, sunny-side-up eggs, and luncheon meat,” said Su Yinhe, placing the noodles in front of him and then taking out the ceramic bowl full of eggs and luncheon meat.

Chi Yan nodded at her, and the two began to slurp noodles.

While Lin Murong was chatting with the robot, he glanced over and discovered that two people had started eating noodles behind his back without his knowledge.@@novelbin@@

He couldn’t be left out.

Lin Murong patted his abs, feeling hungry again. He finally let the robot be, and took a few steps over to where Su Yinhe was.

Su Yinhe looked up, saw him, and silently handed him a bowl of noodles.

“Heh, heh, heh.” Without a chair, Lin Murong held the bowl and stood while slurping the noodles. Most of the fried luncheon meat ended up in his mouth.

Lin Murong devoured his noodles tastily, Chi Yan ate his with the same elegance. As for Su Yinhe, she used her chopsticks as needles and the noodles as yarn, knitting.

Having snuck three fried eggs upstairs and gulped down a big glass of boiled water, she was now full and not hungry.

After Lin Murong quickly finished a bowl, Su Yinhe handed him another. Lin Murong had already eaten five steamed buns and now a bowl of noodles; he wasn’t very hungry. Seeing Su Yinhe knitting a scarf with noodles in a seemingly skilled fashion, he moved closer to her, asking her to share some tips.

The two of them started playing while they ate.

Chi Yan: “…”

“Hey, your stitch method is wrong. It should go to the right a bit.”

“It’s crooked, crooked. Start over.”

“It’s flipped, flipped.”

In the end, only Chi Yan was seriously eating his noodles.

After finishing a bowl of noodles with two fried eggs, Su Yinhe had also successfully knitted a small scarf.

Murong’s noodles, on the other hand, had tangled into a big lump. He felt somewhat saddened as he gulped it down in two bites.

Su Yinhe looked at the “scarf” in the bowl, nodding with satisfaction. True to form. She took out her phone and snapped several all-angle, no-dead-spot photos, and even recorded a video.

She had to show off on her social media when she got back.

Su Yinhe couldn’t bear to eat the “scarf,” having knitted it with such difficulty. She stored it in her spatial expanse, planning to eat it when she felt less sentimental about it.

“Galaxy, do you need a Crystal Core?” Murong, who had been freeloading food and drinks every day, felt a bit embarrassed. He didn’t mind mooching off Brother Chi, but he felt somewhat guilty doing it to Su Yinhe.

He didn’t have much of worth to give her. But he saw a supermarket exchanging Crystal Cores for money today and figured Su Yinhe might need some.

He had nothing else, but plenty of Crystal Cores.

“Mm.” Su Yinhe wanted to install a protective shield for her supermarket that could score a little higher.

“I’ll give you a few, as thanks for your great kindness these past couple of days.” Eating so much of her food, he felt quite embarrassed.

“If you have them, just change them into money. Buy whatever you want, since in the end, it’ll still come back to me.” For him, doing this was just like profiting without investment. Exchanging Crystal Cores for money or giving them to her directly made no difference.

“No, no, no. It’s not the same, this is a gift from me.” He wasn’t looking to make a transaction.

Murong was rarely this serious, so Su Yinhe declined at first but seeing how insistent he was, she accepted.

She’d just make him more delicious food in the future. She noticed Murong seemed to really enjoy eating.

Murong took out several deep purple Crystal Cores and gave them to her. A deep purple color with a mysterious feel.

Su Yinhe really liked them.

So, she decided to give him a few egg tarts in return.

Murong ate the egg tarts, wishing he could give her a few more Crystal Cores. He didn’t do it for the egg tarts—he just wanted to express his gratitude to Little Galaxy.

Wuuu… these egg tarts were really delicious.

Chi Yan watched Murong’s pitiable demeanor with some disdain.

After giving some egg tarts to Murong, Su Yinhe handed a few to Brother Chi as well.

Chi Yan liked sweets, so he would probably enjoy the egg tarts.

Chi Yan was taken aback.

After pacifying the pair, Su Yinhe ran off to her usual spot to watch the supermarket, holding her tablet to catch up on her series.

There was an update.

Chi Yan stared at the egg tarts Su Yinhe gave him for a long while. Once Murong finished his egg tarts, he drooled over Chi Yan’s.

“Brother Chi, you don’t like egg tarts, right? I can help you eat them… ow, ow, ow!” Murong’s extended paw was caught by Chi Yan.

“No need.” Chi Yan said and then flung Murong’s hand away before swiftly stashing the egg tarts into his space.

His possessions, others were not allowed to touch.

Not even Murong.

“Hisss. Weren’t you not eating?” Murong shook his wrist, sucking in a few breaths of cool air — Chi Yan had quite a heavy hand.

It hurt like hell.

“When did I say I wasn’t eating?”

“I finished mine and you haven’t touched yours yet.” If that isn’t a sign of not wanting to eat, as Chi Yan’s good brother, he naturally had the responsibility to take care of the food Chi Yan didn’t like.

After all, food shouldn’t be wasted.

Chi Yan, as a person, really might just throw away food he didn’t like. Even in these times of severe food scarcity.
