Apocalyptic Disasters: Carrying a bun and hoarding supplies

With that wretched girl gone, what were they supposed to do? That was when they found out the crazy things that Bai Meiyue had done in the apartment building. Though the two of them did hear bits and pieces of the rumours, they didn't believe them.

The world might have changed but Father and Mother Ye still don't quite not understand the changes in the world. They thought that even though the world had changed, no one would be able to find trouble in the way Bai Meiyue did. Thus, they didn't take those rumours seriously.

When the two of them found out that Bai Meiyue had asked their mother to burn the corpse of their daughter and even caused quite a ruckus in the apartment building, they decided to make use of it and suppress Bai Meiyue.

More importantly, Father Ye awakened as a really strong ability user; thus, his courage was even more emboldened. He firmly believed that they could extort food and supplies from Bai Meiyue and this belief turned even more certain when he saw Bai Meiyue.

His eyes swept at her weak stature, which clearly looked malnourished and sickly and the lips of the man curled up in a disdanful smile.

"You are talking nonsense!" Bai Jixuan was furious when he saw that someone was putting blame on his sister when she had clearly done nothing wrong. "My sister didn't even know your daughter before that girl died. How could my sister threaten your daughter?"

They didn't even know that girl so how could they push her to an early death?

Bai Meiyue on the other hand turned to look at the couple and questioned, "You keep yelling that I killed your daughter, but I don't think you are here to avenge her, are you? Just speak your mind as long as the compensation is reasonable; we can talk things through."

The second she finished speaking, Mother Ye parted her dry lips and started rambling, "We want two hundred bricks of gold. A box of jade rings along with hundred catties of vegetables and meat. And oh, I heard that you also have a pig, so you should hand it over to us as well. This is the least you can do for our daughter."

After she finished speaking, she raised her head and looked at Bai Meiyue as if she was doing her a favour by letting her compensate them.

"And what if I don't?" when Bai Meiyue saw that the two of them were trying to blackmail her into handing over more than one third of her supposed supplies, Bai Meiyue was really amused.

"Then you will suffer the beating of your life, won't you?" Father Ye raised his thick fist and waved it in front of Bai Meiyue who finally couldn't help but laugh out loud.

She raised her hand and motioned the man to make a move. "Come on then. If you want to take the supplies from me, then you might as well give it all you have."

Bai Meiyue was not someone who would ever submit to a threat. Since this man was dreaming in the middle of the day, then she might as well wake him up.

When Father Ye saw Bai Meiyue's actions, he was so angry that his moustache started to bristle. This woman! How dare she look down on him in such a manner? Did she think that he was made of mud?

"You bitch!" being himiliated by Bai Meiyue made Father Ye really angry. He rushed at her with his fists raised in the air. However, before he could slam his fist on Bai Meiyue's face, the woman moved with such an agility that it terrified the man.

And the next thing he knew, the arm that was raised in the air was lying on the floor with a puddle of blood surrounding it.

"AHHH!!!" Mother Ye screamed in terror when she saw Bai Meiyue's actions. Behind her, Old madam Ye staggered before she fainted right the very next second. She and her son arrived at the Sunshine Deluxe Apartments just a few days ago and thus, they never saw how crazy Bai Meiyue truly could be.

But now that they saw it with their own eyes, they were absolutely terrified!

"Arghhh!!" Father Ye, who belatedly realised that he had lost his arm, screamed in agony. He looked at his forearm that was cut off and turned to look at Bai Meiyue with a terrified look on his face. "You—You…"

Bai Meiyue stared at the man who was yelling at her with a smile on her face. She reached out and knotted her fingers in his hair and pulled his head back before twisting his body around such that he was facing his wife.

An ice machete appeared in her hands and she placed it against the neck of the man. She said to Bai Mother Ye, "Two hundred bricks of gold, a pig and jade rings. Don't forget the hundred catties of meat and vegetables. If you don't bring these things to me within three days, I will kill your husband and throw his body for the zombies to eat."

When Mother Ye saw that Bai Meiyue had turned the situation around, she was stunned. She thought that Bai Meiyue would be easy to control but the weak-looking woman who resembled a rabbit was really strong. She actually dealt with her husband, who had awakened such powerful abilities with a little move!

She raised her head and looked at the woman with terror in her eyes and forced a smile. "It's a misunderstanding. It's a misunderstanding. We were just sorry about the loss of our daughter's life and we didn't think things through. We are really sorry."

"What do you mean by burying this hatchet?" Bai Meiyue curled one side of her lips and stated in a cold voice, "Do you think that your actions of threatening and attacking me can be ignored as a light matter?"
