Chapter 139 139: A Chance to Strike It Rich
NightStalker and the others also learned from GemmaS about the general situation with the Destroyer. Hearing that they had already gathered a third of the materials needed for it, they were all excited.
From this dungeon run, they had realized their own shortcomings. They were comfortable handling Gold Grade bosses, but when it came to Dark Gold Grade, they were out of their depth. If they wanted to keep up with Blackshade, they needed to address this weakness. And it wasn't enough to rely entirely on GemmaS's Destroyer—they needed to level up themselves.
A fire of determination burned in their hearts, and they were resolved to find opportunities once they exited the dungeon. ExoGenesis was vast—there would surely be a chance for them.
Focusing his mind, Tristan turned his attention to the two loot items they had obtained. No doubt, both were Dark Gold Grade.
[Goblin Helicopter Blueprint (Dark Gold Grade)]
Material Requirements: Precision Nuts x100, Mithril Shell x50, Saron Evil Steel x100…
"Enjoy the thrill of flight."
Although they had previously obtained a Rocket Backpack blueprint, Tristan's expression still lit up.
The Rocket Backpack was useful for short-distance leaps or as a buffer item, a special item. However, the Goblin Helicopter was different. It was a mount.
Tristan looked at GemmaS, who understood immediately and took on the responsibility. "I'll craft one for everyone to try."
NightStalker and the others cheered, "Thank you, GemmaS! Thank you, Blackshade!"
A Goblin Helicopter—while it might not have the machine guns and missiles of the original version, it was still a mount that could fly. The design was cool, too. Riding one of these would definitely turn heads.
Furthermore, NightStalker and the others knew that without Tristan, they likely wouldn't have been able to handle a Nightmare Difficulty dungeon. They would have been stuck doing King Difficulty, where the bosses were no higher than Gold Grade, and unlikely to drop a Goblin Helicopter Blueprint.
So, besides thanking GemmaS, they were truly grateful to Blackshade.
Tristan waved them off, saying it was no trouble at all. Even though he had his own special mount, the Shadow Dragon, he wasn't going to turn down the Goblin Helicopter. After all, he had no idea how to fly in real life, so getting the chance to try it out in-game was a bonus.
Plus, Tristan speculated that, as GemmaS's abilities grew, she could probably modify the Goblin Helicopter to make it combat-capable. Once that happened, crafting dozens or even hundreds of them and unleashing a barrage of attacks would make any boss quake in fear.
Thinking of that scene, Tristan immediately said, "If you run into any difficulties, just let me know. We'll brainstorm and solve it together. Let's aim to craft the Goblin Helicopter as soon as possible."
GemmaS sighed dramatically. "I suddenly feel like I've entered a sweatshop. If I'd known, I wouldn't have accepted the Destroyer Blueprint."
Despite her words, GemmaS didn't mind her current situation. In fact, she found it enjoyable. Being able to craft all sorts of new and interesting items, along with a group of friends she could talk to—what was there to complain about?
As they spoke, Tristan turned his attention to the second loot item.
[Ace Pilot Manual (Dark Gold Grade)]
Special Effect 1: Increases mount speed by 30%
Special Effect 2: Riding the mount prevents it from being shot down.
This item was valuable, no doubt about it. Increasing mount speed by 30% would be especially useful as mounts became more common. The added effect of preventing the mount from being shot down could also prove to be quite a game-changer in crucial moments.
However, compared to gear or skill books, this manual didn't offer as direct an increase in power.
NightStalker spoke up first: "I already have a shield, and I don't have a mount, so this item isn't for me."
Manalady added, "I've already taken a skill book, and I feel a little guilty about it. Taking more would be too greedy."
GemmaS spread her hands. "Well, I can't take it. I haven't contributed much and I've already gotten the most loot, so I'm definitely not taking anything else."
DarkStriker, jumping in before Tristan could speak, made his decision: "I don't have a mount, and this item doesn't help me." After a brief pause, he added, "Blackshade, you've been leading us through dungeons. It must be a lot of pressure. You take it."
Tristan thought for a moment. Why did that sound familiar?
Seeing the firm stance of GemmaS and the others, Tristan didn't press the issue further and took the manual for himself. After all, it was still an upgrade in some way.
With that, the dungeon was effectively complete. Despite everything, the process had been fun.
The group returned the way they came, passing through the dungeon's entrance and back to the outside world.
This time, however, something was different. A semi-transparent light screen had appeared above the land, surrounded by a metal frame.
Now that they had completed the special mode, the Prosperous Mining Area would officially become a dungeon that ordinary players could challenge.
GemmaS, her eyes lighting up, said, "I just got a game notification saying I've unlocked the dungeon and can set an entrance fee."
Tristan pretended to be surprised, though in his mind, he wasn't shocked at all.
Other than dungeons with no unlocking conditions, every dungeon that required players to clear the special mode first would provide an opportunity for profit. That opportunity was to charge an entrance fee.

ExoGenesis never interfered with how players set those fees. If someone were greedy, they could set the price as high as 1,000 or even 10,000 gold coins. Of course, whether anyone would be foolish enough to pay such a high price was another matter.
In his past life, Tristan had opened several special dungeons and set reasonable fees, earning a continuous flow of income to further improve his strength.
So when GemmaS mentioned this, Tristan wasn't surprised. But the others didn't know about this feature, and they quickly began discussing it with great enthusiasm.
After a discussion, GemmaS, with Tristan's suggestion, set the entrance fee. In addition to regular gold, higher-level materials would be required for more difficult dungeons. This would allow GemmaS to earn large amounts of materials, which would give her more time to improve her abilities.
Once the ticket price was set, GemmaS added, "The prompt says I need to release an announcement. I saw that I can use the guild's name for it. What do you think?"
GemmaS wasn't the type to chase fame, so when she saw the opportunity to make a server-wide announcement, she instead thought about promoting the guild's name.
If it had been DarkSaber or Drake, they would have jumped at the chance to plaster their names everywhere.
Tristan smiled inwardly, thinking that their Pinnacle Guild's name was already well-known. But since GemmaS wanted to do this, he didn't want to reject her. He nodded. "I think that's a good idea."
Soon after, the announcement rang out:
[Guild 'Pinnacle' has unlocked the hidden dungeon Prosperous Mining Area. All players are invited to challenge it outside Davi City. Official announcement!]

The three notifications echoed across the server, and all players in the game heard them, their surprise turning to calm when they saw "Pinnacle."
"Oh, it's Blackshade's guild. That makes sense."
What do you think?
