Description: The master of the Prosperous Mining Area, obsessed with alchemy technology.
The final boss of the Prosperous Mining Area had appeared, and its Dark Gold Grade made Tristan unable to hide his smile.
Based on previous experiences, they would likely get at least two loot drops.
Whether it was equipment or items, anything of Dark Gold Grade would be highly valuable.
It would be best if something useful drops. Tristan thought to himself.
As he pondered, the Ace Pilot Mask didn't waste any time. He immediately activated the machine guns on both sides of his helicopter and began spraying the ground with a hail of bullets.
"Watch your positioning!" Tristan called out, moving left and right while throwing a Shadow Dagger to draw aggro towards himself.
His high agility made dodging the barrage easy, but the rest of the group wasn't so fortunate.
Even regular attacks from a Dark Gold Grade boss were devastating. Apart from NightStalker, the other three, who were more fragile, couldn't withstand it.
This fight was turning out to be more passive than expected.
The boss, Mask, had approached them directly, leaving Tristan no chance to let his teammates find safe spots.
However, Tristan believed that GemmaS and the others would handle it.
As predicted, when the boss's helicopter came charging, the group immediately sprang into action, searching for cover.
The giant corpse of the third boss, Azect, provided an ideal shield.
With Tristan tanking the aggro, GemmaS and the others began their counterattack without hesitation.
Manalady was the first to act. She raised her staff, and a sandstorm began to form in the air, covering the area around the helicopter.
The bullets from the helicopter started to scatter, no longer forming the constant barrage from earlier.
With the 30% decrease in accuracy, even the Dark Gold Grade boss could only watch helplessly.
Taking advantage of this, Tristan peeked out from behind the cover and cast Rain of Corruption.
Since this was a team operation, and the boss had initiated the attack, Tristan didn't plan to use Shadow Stealth for this fight. He didn't want the boss to switch targets to the others.
Although it was possible to recover the body after dying at this stage, it was still a hassle.
Regardless, his damage output was high enough. Even without the Breaking Stealth Strike damage bonus, it would just take a little longer.
With two of his skills cast, Tristan locked the boss's aggro firmly on himself. GemmaS and the others wasted no time and began attacking.
They knew their damage was nowhere near Tristan's, so they didn't go all out with damage but focused primarily on control.
NightStalker, relying on his high defense, stepped up and used a shield bash to interrupt the boss's attacks.
However, as a Dark Gold Grade boss, Mask had an extremely high resistance to control. He could only be stunned for about half a second before recovering.
But the key wasn't how long he was controlled; it was about interrupting the boss's attack rhythm.
Tristan immediately felt the pressure lighten.
While GemmaS and the others hadn't yet reached the peak of their previous lives' skill levels, they were clearly showing their potential.
Given time, they would undoubtedly become the backbone of the guild.
And that was exactly what Tristan hoped for.
He would offer some help to his guild members, but he wouldn't do everything for them.
The members he had chosen were top players from his previous life. With just a little opportunity, they could shine brightly.
As he was thinking, the cooldown on his skills ended, and Tristan raised his hand to cast another Shadow Dagger, dealing several hundred thousand in damage.
"Annoying flies!"
The Ace Pilot Mask let out an angry scream, and the belly door of the helicopter opened. A bright red bomb slowly extended out of the cockpit.
Tristan immediately shouted, "Scatter, get behind cover!"
If he wasn't mistaken, this was the boss's skill, Chubby Bomb. Once it landed, it would flatten the area around it.
Even if NightStalker used his defense skills, he would probably still be overwhelmed by the blast.
In fact, Tristan didn't even need to warn them. As soon as Mask opened the helicopter's belly door, NightStalker and DarkStriker began to retreat.
GemmaS and Manalady also moved to more distant covers.
Whoosh…
Boom!
The bomb hit the ground, sending a fiery explosion into the sky and creating a mushroom cloud in the instance.
The shockwave spread, causing the third boss's body to shatter and gradually melt away in the heat.
Fortunately, Tristan and the others had retreated in time and found sufficiently sturdy cover, ensuring their survival.
But such an attack could only be used once.
Tristan had clearly seen that there was only one bomb in the helicopter's belly.
Of course, if the boss could craft a giant bomb on the spot, he would have no complaints.
That shouldn't be the case... Tristan thought.
But either way, it didn't matter. Even if the boss could create a massive bomb, it wouldn't change much.
This skill had a clear casting animation, and it wasn't some unreasonable full-map one-hit kill. As long as they retreated in time, they could avoid it.
Once the shockwave passed, Tristan leaped out from behind cover, raising his hand to cast Shadow Dagger and Rain of Corruption.
Mask retaliated with a Thermal Missile.
The two sides exchanged blows back and forth, the battle heating up.
But in the end, Tristan came out on top, and with the help of GemmaS and the others, they successfully reduced Mask's health to zero.
"You have reached level 21!"
"You have gained 5 free attribute points!"
"The power of shadows gathers within you, you gain an additional 5 free attribute points!"
"Beast Blessing activated, you gain an additional 5 free attribute points!"
"Hunting Moment activated, you gain 1 evolution point!"
At the moment the boss fell, Tristan leveled up, receiving generous experience rewards.
Initially, he thought he'd level up by two levels, but he didn't expect there to be no small mobs between bosses three and four, leading to a continuous boss fight.
At least he'd leveled up, and it wouldn't feel like a wasted trip.
"Wow!"
"I can't believe what I just saw!"
GemmaS and the others came forward, all giving Tristan a thumbs-up.
Your next chapter is on My Virtual Library Empire
They had all seen it clearly: even without their control assistance, Tristan could have soloed the boss.
In fact, it would've been faster that way.
After all, Tristan could Stealth; he had just been keeping the boss focused on him to help them out.
Tristan remained calm.
As long as they took down the boss, the process didn't matter.
He turned to Manalady. "Alright, your turn. You're in charge of looting the body."
Manalady didn't argue and stepped forward to collect the two loot orbs.
Once she was done, GemmaS went over to the wreckage of the helicopter, searching through it. She finally found the materials she needed and excitedly said, "We've gathered a third of the materials for the Destroyer!"
From the time GemmaS got the blueprint to now, just a day had passed, and they had made such progress.
It looked like the Destroyer's creation was just around the corner.
Tristan was equally excited.
Once GemmaS built the Destroyer, her combat power would skyrocket, allowing her to solo Gold Grade bosses without a hitch.
Even a Dark Gold Grade boss could be handled with ease.
At that point, GemmaS and the others would have a much easier time farming for more gear.
What do you think?
