Beast Hack: Customizing Beasts and Capturing Beauties

Chapter 171 Shopping, Scheming, and Snacks

Luna and Savra stepped off the teleportation platform. The air was quite hot but not as hot as Volcaria Estate.

They could see the bustling streets of Flame Wing City stretched before them. It was filled with merchants and tamers.

There were also a lot of flame-winged beasts of various sizes and types around here, whether the ones being sold or tamed beasts.

Luna glanced around and was interested in it. She rested her hand on her hip. "So, this is Flame Wing City, huh? It lives up to its name."

Savra nodded as he glanced around. "Yeah, this city is known for its flame-winged beasts. They're bred and trained here, and some of the Empire's best fire tamers come from this region."@@novelbin@@

She then turned to Luna and became serious. "So, Luna, what's the plan here? What should we do now?"

Luna smirked. She tilted her head as she already anticipated the question. "First, we'll find an inn to settle down and plan our next move. Then…"

She then gave Savra a playful shrug. "We'll do a little shopping."

Savra raised her eyebrow. "Shopping?"

Luna nodded. "Of course. There are plenty of rare goods here, and I've got a few things in mind that I want to buy for Master."

Savra folded her arms and smirked. "I see. Despite being Lucius' maid, you're still a woman at heart. Fine. Let's do some shopping."

She also glanced at Luna with a sly grin. "I'll even pay for it. Consider it my treat."

Luna's eye lit up, and she gave Savra a genuine smile. "Well, I can't say no to that. Let's go."

The two of them began to walk down the crowded street. Luna then glanced sideways at Savra. "You know, I never expected you to be into something as normal as shopping."

Savra chuckled softly. "I may be a matriarch, but I still know how to appreciate good things. And besides…"

She gave Luna a sideways glance. "You're surprisingly good company for something like this. I can see why Lucius keeps you around."

Luna's smirk returned as she was being proud of it. "Of course he is. Master deserves only the best."

Savra nodded and continued down the street. "Let's make this quick. Once we're done, we'll settle into the inn and discuss our real objective."

Luna smirked. "Agreed, but first..."

She then pointed toward a nearby stall filled with exotic fire-based trinkets. "I see something Master might like."

Savra sighed and followed her toward the stall. "You really don't waste any time, do you?"

---

By the time Luna and Savra arrived at the inn, it was already night. The two of them had spent hours moving from booth to booth earlier.

Inside the inn, they settled into a modest but comfortable room. Luna had bought a lot of cheap materials, while Savra put several bags filled with food onto a nearby table.

Luna glanced at the bags and smiled. "I didn't know you were such a foodie, Matriarch."

Savra grinned and shrugged. "What can I say? I prefer good food over pointless trinkets." Your journey continues at My Virtual Library Empire

She leaned back in her chair, stretching her arms behind her head. "But enough about that. What's the plan, Luna?"

Luna smirked, resting her hand on her hip. "The plan? Simple. We steal the Red Dragon material."

Savra raised her eyebrow, folding her arms. "And where exactly do you think they're keeping it?"

Luna smirked. "Don't worry. I already know where it is."

Savra was surprised, hearing that. "You know? How could you possibly know that?"

Luna walked over to the window and smirked. "While we were shopping, I used an artifact to scan the area."

Luna pointed to some barely guarded area. "It picked up the energy signature of the material. It turns out the Kryndal family is as clueless as the others.

Lucius then smirked and clasped her hands. "Just like the material we recovered from the academy, they don't know its true value."

Savra leaned forward, resting her elbows on her knees. "So, they're keeping it out in the open?"

Luna nodded. "More or less. They're storing it in one of their warehouses, guarded by a few tamers who don't seem to realize they're sitting on something priceless."

She turned back to Savra. "This'll be easier than you think."

Savra smirked. She was clearly impressed. "You're full of surprises. Lucius was right. Bringing you along was a good decision."

Luna chuckled softly, crossing her arms. "Master doesn't make mistakes when it comes to choosing his people. Now, let's get ready. We'll move after nightfall, when the city quiets down."

Savra rose from her seat, stretching again before heading toward her belongings. "Fine by me. But first, let's eat. No point in sneaking around on an empty stomach."

Luna watched her and shook her head slightly. "You and your food…"

Savra grinned as she unpacked some freshly bought flame-roasted meat and bread. "Hey, even a mission like this deserves a proper meal beforehand. Besides, I don't know when we'll get to eat again."

Luna didn't argue. Instead, she sat down across from Savra. She was also joining her for some food before they went to do their task.

---

Luna and Savra had just finished their meal. Savra leaned back in her chair, crossing her arms as she glanced at Luna. "Alright. We know where it's located, but we can't just walk in and take it."

Savra frowned and reminded Luna. "We're stealing something valuable, and that means we'll need to do it quietly. I'm not exactly an expert when it comes to stealth. Got any ideas?"

Luna smirked mischievously. "Don't worry. There's a reason Master sent me on this mission, and it's not just because I'm good company."

Savra raised her eyebrow, as she was intrigued. "Oh, would you show me then?"

Without another word, Luna smirked and summoned her beast. A portal appeared and from it, Loxen, the Silver Shadow Panther, appeared.

Savra was surprised as she saw and sensed the beast. She was shocked. "What the hell is this?"
