Beast Hack: Customizing Beasts and Capturing Beauties

Chapter 172 A Heist in Flame Wing City

Savra was surprised to see Loxen. It wasn't the sight of the beast that surprised her, but what caught her off guard was the aura radiating from it.

She could feel that the aura was not from a 5-Star Beast. Instead, it was a genuiune 6-Star aura.

She stared at Luna and furrowed in disbelief. "What the hell... That beast is 6-Star, which means that you're a 6-Star Tamer?"

Luna smirked, resting her hand on Loxen's head. "That's right. Are you surprised, Matriarch?"

Savra was in disbelief. "How? You're barely in your twenties? How can you already be a 6-Star Tamer? This doesn't make any sense."

Luna tilted her head slightly and smirked wider. "Because I'm Master Lucius's maid. With him, things like this… well, they're just normal."

Savra groaned, rubbing her temple with her hand. "Dammit. You and your master are so strange. First him, now you."

She dropped her hand and stared at Luna. "What the hell is wrong with you two?"

Luna chuckled softly and shrugged. "What can I say? He expects the best from us, so we deliver."

Savra crossed her arms and sighed. Despite it, Savra still smirked a little. "Fine. Let's just hope that strength of yours lives up to the hype."

Luna smirked as she stepped closer to Savra. "Oh, don't you worry about that. You'll see soon enough."

Savra shook her head again but couldn't help but chuckle. "You're insufferable. No wonder you fit right in with Lucius."

Luna smirked. "I'll take that as a compliment. But enough talk. It's time to move."

She climbed onto Loxen's back. She then turned toward Savra and gestured with a head tilt. "Come on. Get on."

Savra raised her eyebrow and crossed her arms. "What? You want me to ride your beast? I thought this was a stealth mission, not a parade."

Luna chuckled. "Trust me. This is no ordinary ride. You'll understand soon enough. Now, are you coming, or should I leave you behind?"

Savra sighed. She climbed onto Loxen's back and sat behind Luna. As soon as Savra sat down, Loxen let out a low growl.

It began to use its shadow energy and coated both Luna and Savra in a protective shroud.

Savra was a bit startled. She glanced down at her hand, which was now coated in the same shadowy substance.

Before she could think about it, Loxen moved. It immediately melded into the shadows beneath them, carrying Luna and Savra with it.

The sensation was unlike anything Savra had experienced before. They were moving, but the world around them was silent and surreal.

Savra turned to Luna and broke the silence. "I see... You're a shadow beast tamer. This explains a lot."

Luna glanced over her shoulder and smirked. "Exactly. With Loxen, stealth isn't just that hard. With his abilities, this mission will be a breeze."

Savra couldn't help but grin. She shook her head slightly. "I'll admit, this is impressive. If it works as well as it looks, stealing that material will be easier than I thought."

Luna smirked. "Of course it'll work. Now, hold on tight. It's time to show the Kryndal family just how much they've underestimated us."

With that, Loxen surged forward through the shadows, silent and unseen. They moved swiftly toward their target without anyone noticing.

Loxen moved swiftly and silently, weaving through the shadows of Flame Wing City with ease.

It didn't take long before they reached one of the Kryndal family's warehouses.

Unlike the heavily guarded main warehouses, this one appeared relatively neglected, with only a few guards stationed at its entrances.

Loxen slipped through the shadowy creak of the doors. Inside, the warehouse was dimly lit.

As Loxen reappeared in the center of the warehouse, Luna and Savra slid off its back.

Savra scanned around the area and muttered. "So, this is the Kryndal family's 4-Star hub warehouse."

Luna nodded. "Yeah, it seems so. But this is the lowest-tier warehouse. It's where they keep the items they think aren't worth much."

Savra crossed around and smirked as she looked around. "No wonder. The things here don't exactly scream value."

She looked at some rows of low-quality beast cores and basic equipment. "I doubt even the tamers they hire would bother with most of this junk."

Luna ignored the commentary and pulled the artifact from her spatial ring. It pulsed faintly with energy as she activated it. "Let me check where it is first."

The artifact began to hum softly. She followed the trail it projected, moving carefully through the aisles. Savra trailed behind her, watching with curiosity.

Finally, the artifact led them to a section filled with weak beast cores. They were so unremarkable they were practically gathering dust.

Luna crouched down, reaching into the middle of a shelf to pull out a dull, blank object.

It resembled a beast core, but its surface was smooth and featureless, lacking the usual glow or energy signature.@@novelbin@@

Savra leaned over her shoulder, raising her eyebrow. "So, this is it, huh?"

Luna stood up and held the item up. She smirked as she nodded. "Yeah, this is what we came for."

Savra frowned. She inspected the item more closely. "It doesn't look like much. No aura, no shine, no power. It's just... dull. No wonder they thought it was a useless core."

Luna smirked and slipped the item into her spatial ring. "Exactly. That's what makes it so easy to steal. They don't even realize what they have."

Savra chuckled softly, leaning against a nearby shelf. "You're not wrong. Thanks to their ignorance, we've secured another Red Dragon material for ourselves."

She crossed her arms, glancing at the empty space where the item had been stored. "All that's left now is for Lucius to work his magic on it—just like he did with the last one in our estate."

Luna nodded. "Master always knows how to bring out the true potential in things, whether it's a dull item like this or... Well, you've seen how he works."
