Chapter 179 When Empires Scheme
Liora smirked faintly as she turned her head slightly toward Feron and Anselm.
She had caught every word of their whispered conversation, thanks to her enhanced hearing.
They had underestimated her, assuming their hushed tones and distance would cover their conversation.
Liora smirked and sighed inward. "So, they're planning to nip the bud before it blooms. How predictable."
Liora was Lucius' tamed human, so she can reach him telepathically. "Master, two people from the empire are planning to take me out."
Liora also explained their reasoning. "They're worried that I became so strong that I will be so dangerous to the empire, but they should be now."
Far away, in the Volcaria estate, Lucius sat leisurely in his room. He was amused after listening to her.
Lucius only chuckled. "I see. As expected from the empire. When they see a rare flower in their common garden, they'd rather pluck it than try to grow it among their common blossoms."
Liora smirked as she listened to her master. She knew that Lucius was going to do something. "So, what's the plan, Master?"
Lucius leaned back in his chair and smirked. "Simple, do as they plan. Try to kill them. But leave one alive. Make sure they carry the message."
Lucius smirked as he tapped his fingers on the armrest. "We'll need a proper reason to fight back when the time comes."
Liora nodded. "Understood, Master. I won't disappoint you."
Lucius only grinned. "You never do. Now, go. Show them what happens when they try to uproot what they can't control."
The telepathic link was severed and Liora focused back to the battlefield. She turned her attention back toward Tarron, who was still struggling to recover from her earlier blow.
In her mind, she replayed Lucius's final words. "This isn't just about me. This is about making sure they understand that the Volcaria name isn't one to be trifled with."
In the Volcaria estate, Lucius rose from his chair and smirked. "So, the Empire wants to play games, huh? Let's prepare then. It's time to remind them that Volcaria doesn't bow to anyone."
With that, he turned to his own work. He now clearly understood that the final plan would be done whether they liked it or not.

Tarron was struggling to stand up but still, he succeeded. He then glanced at Liora and frustated. "Just... who the hell are you?"
He staggered back a bit and continued. "How can someone so young be this strong?"
Liora smirked as she tilted her head slightly. "Me? You can say that I'm just a special person."
Tarron frowned. "Special or not, you've forced my hand. I wanted to save this, but it seems I don't have a choice anymore."
Without another word, Tarron reached into his spatial ring and pulled out a small vial. He opened it and drunk the contents in one gulp.
His aura immediately surged and another transformation happened to his body.
Tiny red scales began to spread across Tarron's body. His body grew harder and his arm began to transform into claws.
Tarron glared at Liora. "To think that you're the first person to ever force me to drink the Red Dragon Serum."
He then grinned as he flexed his new body. "Congratulations, little girl. You've earned my full power."
Liora's smirk didn't waver. Instead, it grew wider. "Thank you for that. This will be interesting."
Tarron growled as he gathered the energy and spiralled it into his fist. He raised it and pulled back his right fist.
He then turned toward Liora. "Let's see if you can handle this! Red Dragon Fist!"
The cavern shook a bit as Tarron unleashed the attack. Liora remained calm and smirked as she adjusted her position.
Unbeknownst to others, Liora had moved her position closer to where Anselm and Feron were located while they watched the battle.
Both of them were so focused on her that that they didn't notice her quiet maneuvering or even her true intentions.
As the Red Dragon Fist surged toward her, Liora immediately dodged the attack at the last possible moment.
Thanks to that, the blazing energy roared past her, hurtling directly toward Anselm and Feron, who had no time to react.
The two tamers were shocked as the attack was now surging toward them. "What the—?!"
Anselm tried to fly up with his wings and Feron tried to run, but it was all too late.
The attack was already there and struck them with full force. Anselm and Feron were flung backward, crashing into the jagged walls with a thud.
They were now struggling to recover as the attack from Tarron almost reached 7-Star, which could easily kill them.
Liora turned back toward Tarron and chuckled mockingly. "Oops. It looks like your aim needs some work."

Tarron roared in fury. His aura flared wild as he turned to Liora. "You damn bitch! I'll make you regret ever stepping into this place!"
Liora didn't flinch. She only smirked after meeting Tarron's anger. "It's my turn now and honestly, I don't have time to waste. Let's finish this."@@novelbin@@
Before Tarron could react, Liora moved. In an instant, she disappeared from her position.
By the time Tarron realized she was no longer in front of him. It was already too late.
Tarron was surprised to find that Liora was already behind him. ""What the—?! How could—?!"
Tarron tried to use his claws to swing back, but it was already too late. Liora only smirked as she whispered to him. "You're too slow."
Liora immediately clenched her fist and channeled her Silver Flame energy. "Silver Flame Fist."
She drove her blazing fist into the back of Tarron's head. The massive elder let out a guttural groan as his body collapsed forward.
His breaths had become shallow gasps before his eyes rolled back and his body lay motionless.
Liora shook her hand lightly as the silver flames around her fist dissipated. She looked down at Tarron's unconscious form.
She was disinterested in him as she brushed her silver hair. "That's what happens when you waste my time."
From above, Ragnar chuckled. "She really doesn't hold back. That's really the kind of strength Volcaria needs."
What do you think?
