Beast Hack: Customizing Beasts and Capturing Beauties

Chapter 244 The Battle Ends… But Now Liora Wants a Bath?!

The bandit leader crouched low as his entire body was shaking in rage.

His muscles expanded, his veins bulging beneath his dark fur as a red aura began to radiate from him.

His claws became sharper than before. He also bared his fangs in fury. "I'm going to kill you for them."

He immediately charged as his entire body surged forward, sending rocks flying from the sheer force of his movement.

He had poured every ounce of his power into this one strike. A final, desperate blow.

His claws glowed with red energy, slashing forward, aiming straight for Liora's throat.

But Liora didn't move. She didn't even flinch. Instead, she caught his attack with a single claw.

Her claws wrapped effortlessly around his, stopping his killing blow midair.

The desert wind howled around them, the moment frozen in absolute silence.

The bandit leader's eyes widened. It was impossible. His entire body shook, refusing to believe what just happened."W-What…?"

His voice cracked. "How can this be possible?!"

Liora tilted her head slightly, her expression cold. "As I've already said..."

She tightened her grip, squeezing his claw just enough for cracks to form along his fused beast arm."You're too weak and too slow."

Then—

She parted her lips slightly, a faint glow forming within her mouth.

The air around them trembled as silver flames gathered at the back of her throat.

The bandit leader's face twisted in terror as he knew what she was about to do. "W-Wait!"

But it was too late. Liora exhaled a burst of blinding silver flame, engulfing the bandit leader's face.

He didn't even have time to scream.

The flames ate through his flesh, incinerating his body in mere seconds.

The red aura that once surrounded him faded, his bones disintegrating into dust before even touching the ground.

By the time the fire died down, there was nothing left. Not even ashes.

Liora lowered her head slightly, exhaling through her nose before smirking. "And that's the end of that."

Luna, who had been watching the entire thing unfold, let out a long whistle. "Damn. You didn't even let him finish his last words. That was brutal."

Liora flicked her wrist, shaking off the remaining embers from her claws. "No point in letting the weak struggle. It's pathetic."

Luna laughed, walking over to her. "I like this side of you, Liora. Very efficient. Very terrifying."

Liora smirked. "I take that as a compliment."

With the bandits completely annihilated, the battlefield was silent, the only remnants of the fight being the ash-covered ground and the scattered weapons of the fallen.

Liora exhaled, rolling her shoulders before turning her gaze to Luna. "Alright, pick up the beast cores they dropped and loot whatever they had."

Luna groaned dramatically, stretching her arms as she leaned back slightly. "Ugh, do I have to? That sounds like so much work."

Liora raised her eyebrow, unimpressed. "You barely did anything in that fight."

Luna grinned, placing a hand on her hip. "Exactly! So why start now?"

Liora sighed, already turning away as she flicked her hand dismissively. "Fine, be lazy. I'll just tell Master that you refused to help."

Luna's eyes widened slightly before she groaned louder, stomping her foot against the ground. "Fine! Fine! You win."

She snapped her fingers. "Loxen, you heard her. Pick up everything and store it in the Shadow Realm."

Loxen let out a low growl. He used his shadow tendrils and slithered them across the battlefield.

One by one, beast cores, weapons, valuables, and even the bandits' stored loot floated up, disappearing into the shadow beneath Loxen's paws.

Luna leaned on Loxen's side, lazily watching the process. "You know, Loxen does all the work. Maybe I should start getting paid for this."

Liora folded her arms, ignoring her. "How many beast cores do we have now?"

Luna huffed, counting mentally. "Hmm… about a hundred. Turns out, those idiots were hoarding quite a lot."

Liora nodded approvingly. "Good. Then let's return. I don't want to stay here any longer."

She rolled her shoulders, stretching slightly before running her hand through her silver-streaked hair. "I need a bath."

Luna froze mid-motion, blinking at her. "Huh? You? Wanting a bath? Now that's a plot twist."

Liora gave her an unimpressed look. "What's that supposed to mean?"

Luna crossed her arms, smirking. "I mean, you're always the no-nonsense type. The 'battle comes first. Everything else is secondary' kind of person. And now you're talking about warm baths? What happened to the ruthless warrior?"

Liora sighed, shaking her head. "Listen, I may be a warrior, but I'm still a girl. And after experiencing the warm baths in this world, I have to admit—they're nice."

Luna gasped dramatically, clutching her chest. "Oh no, you've been corrupted by luxury! How tragic! What's next? A skincare routine? Silk robes? Fancy tea?"

Liora rolled her eyes. "You're annoying. Let's go."

She turned toward Loxen, already walking over to him.

Luna snickered, shaking her head as she followed. "Alright, alright, I'll stop teasing. But still, it's weird seeing you care about stuff like that."

Liora hopped onto Loxen's back, leaning forward slightly as she adjusted herself. "Call it an appreciation for civilization. Nothing wrong with enjoying the good things once in a while."

Luna grinned, climbing up behind her. "Alright, I get it. You're still a killer, just a clean one."

Liora ignored her.

Luna patted Loxen's side, giving a relaxed sigh. "Alright, buddy, take us home."

Loxen let out a deep growl, his shadow stretching out beneath them and in an instant, they vanished into the shadow.

The guards on the gate of the A-Rank Beast Zone were patrolling like usual.

For hours, it had been quiet, just like any other day but then something unexpected happened.

Bright flashes of light suddenly erupted from deep within the Pyrolf territory that could be seen even from a distance.

One of them stepped forward, frowning. "What the hell was that?! Did you see that?!"

Another guard nodded, his face tense. "Yeah… and those weren't normal beast fights. That was way too powerful."

"Could it be a high-rank beast rampaging? Or… something else?"

"I don't know, but we need to report this."

Without hesitation, one of the guards turned on his communicator.

"This is Gate Post 3! We have an anomaly in the Pyrolf territory! Multiple bright light sources detected—possible high-tier beast engagement! Requesting confirmation and further instructions!"

The radio buzzed, and after a brief moment, a voice crackled through.

"Copy that, Gate Post 3. Maintain position. Scouts will be dispatched immediately."

The guards exchanged glances, tension thick in the air.

"Whatever's happening out there… it's big."

"And we're about to find out what."

As the message was relayed to higher-ups, a team was immediately dispatched to investigate.
