Beast Hack: Customizing Beasts and Capturing Beauties

Chapter 247 The Big Cat Squad? No Thanks! Loreia Wants Something Different!

Lucius suddenly called out again. "Loreia."

She had barely taken a few steps before stopping, turning back with an impatient look. "What now?"

Lucius rested his chin on his hand. "I just need to clarify something. What level of beast can you tame now?"

Loreia raised her eyebrow. "What do you mean?"

Lucius exhaled. "I don't know this world's beast ranking system well enough."

"You now have a Divine-Tier talent, so I want to know where that puts you in terms of beast selection."

Loreia tapped her chin. "Hmm… good question. Give me a second, let me check."

She pulled out her phone and quickly searched the internet. After a few moments, she scrolled through the information, then nodded. "Got it."

She turned the screen toward Lucius, reading out the details. "Alright, so… normally, a newbie beast tamer starts with an F-Rank beast."

"If they have a good background or resources, they can start with an E-Rank beast."

Lucius nodded. "Makes sense. Go on."

Loreia continued. "If someone has an Elite-Tier talent, they can start with a D-Rank beast, which is already much stronger than what an average beginner can handle."

She scrolled further and smirked. "Now here's where it gets interesting. A Sovereign-Tier talent is extremely rare. Those people get to skip ahead and tame a C-Rank beast right from the start."

Lucius tapped his fingers against the chair's armrest. "And a Divine-Tier talent?"

Loreia looked at the screen, then blinked. "Huh. It doesn't say."

Lucius raised his eyebrow. "Nothing at all?"

Loreia shook her head. "Nope. Looks like Sovereign-Tier was the highest recorded level. Either Divine-Tier is beyond normal classification, or it's something they don't even have a system for."

Lucius smirked slightly, arms folded. "As expected of me, the one who gave you that talent."

Loreia rolled her eyes. "Yeah, yeah, let's not make this about your genius for once."

She scrolled further on her phone, then paused. "But there's something interesting here."

She pointed at the screen. "Not only can Sovereign-Tier talents tame stronger beasts, but they also immediately unlock the ability to become Beast Fighters."

Lucius's smirk widened. "I see. Beast Fighters, the next stage of Beast Tamers. They don't just command their beasts. They fuse with them or weaponize them in combat, right?"@@novelbin@@

Loreia nodded. "Exactly. That's why Sovereign-Tier talent was deemed genius, as they can skip a stage."

Lucius leaned back, tapping his fingers against the chair. "Then as someone with a Divine-Tier talent, you should be able to do even more than that."

Loreia crossed her arms. "That's the idea. But I still don't know my limit yet."

Lucius smirked. "Then let's push it. Since your talent is superior, we're skipping the lower ranks. You'll start with a B-Rank beast."

Loreia's eyes widened. "Wait—what? Isn't that a bit too much? B-Rank beasts are already strong. That's not exactly an easy first contract."

Lucius waved off her concern. "Don't worry. If anything goes wrong, Luna and Liora can easily catch them. A-Rank beasts don't even stand a chance against them, let alone B-Rank."

Loreia hesitated for a second but then nodded. "Yeah… you're right. If it's them, that's not even a problem."

Lucius smirked. "Good. Then let's find you a beast worthy of your new talent."

Lucius turned toward Luna and Liora, who had just stepped back into the room after finishing their bath.

Their hair was still damp, and they both looked more refreshed than before.

Lucius pointed at them and ordered. "You two, take Loreia to choose her first beast."

Luna raised her eyebrow, smirking. "Oh? So big sister finally got a talent?"

Loreia smirked back, crossing her arms. "Of course I did. I'm not about to let you two run circles around me forever. I am the big sister, after all."

Luna let out a dramatic sigh. "Unfortunate, really. We won't be able to mess with you as easily once you get a new beast."

Loreia's eye twitched. "Of course not, you bastards!"

Luna chuckled. "Relax, it's just sibling love. Besides, don't you think it's a little funny? Just yesterday, you were the weakest one in the room, and now you're trying to act all mighty."

Loreia jabbed a finger at her. "Oh, don't start acting cocky, Luna. The moment I get my beast, you two are done bullying me."

Liora ignored the bickering and got straight to the point. "What kind of beast does she want?"

Lucius gestured toward Loreia. "Tell them."

Loreia sighed, shifting her weight to one leg. "Honestly? I don't know. I just want something strong."

Liora nodded slightly. "If you're looking for strength, then a lion or a tiger would be a solid choice. They're powerful, fast, and naturally aggressive in combat."

Loreia wrinkled her nose. "You two already have feline beasts. I want something different."

Luna smirked. "Afraid of being predictable?"

Loreia rolled her eyes. "No, I just don't want to be the third member of the 'big cat squad.'"

Lucius leaned back, resting his chin on his knuckles. "Then how about something like a dragon?"

Loreia was surprised to hear that and immediately turned toward Lucius. "A dragon?"

Lucius nodded, his smirk widening. "Why not? If you're going to have a beast, you might as well aim high."

Loreia let out a short laugh, shaking her head. "As much as I'd love that, getting a B-Rank dragon isn't exactly easy."

She raised her finger. "They're rare and usually controlled by high-ranking organizations or nobles. You can't just walk into the wild and pick one up."

Liora tilted her head. "She's right. B-Rank dragons are heavily monitored. Even if we find one, capturing it without causing a scene would be difficult."

Luna's grin widened as she leaned against the wall. "Oh, but difficult doesn't mean impossible, does it?"

Lucius immediately became amused. "Who said anything about normal methods? Don't worry about that."

Loreia crossed her arms. "You're scheming something, aren't you?"

Lucius chuckled. "I always am."

Luna clapped her hands together. "Alright, so what's the plan? Are we stealing one, luring one, or 'borrowing' from an organization?"
