Beast Hack: Customizing Beasts and Capturing Beauties

Chapter 246 Lucius Offers a Gift… But Forget to Mention the Pain!

Lucius began to absorb the materials that Luna and Liora had gathered.

With a flick of his wrist, he began to let the system absorb the materials.

The materials began to break down into pure energy and were absorbed by the system.

Lucius exhaled as he saw the hack points that he had gotten from this absorption.

This world material classification was also different than the previous one. "So, this world's classification is like this, huh?"

He then glanced at the current balance. It seemed to be quite a lot, but he didn't know if it was really a lot.

The only way to find out was to start spending these hack points.

Lucius then turned toward Loreia and called her. "Sister, come here. I want to ask you something."

Loreia exhaled through her nose, stepping forward. "What now?"

She moved without hesitation, stopping just a few feet from him.

Lucius tapped his fingers lightly against the armrest. "You've said that you don't have any talent, right?"

Loreia frowned slightly. "That's right. No beast tamer abilities, no natural combat gifts. Just a normal person."

Lucius nodded, as if confirming something to himself. "And if I could change that? If I could give you a talent—would you take it?"

Loreia blinked. Her arms, once firmly crossed, loosened just a fraction. "You can do that?"

Lucius's expression didn't shift. "Of course."

Loreia frowned, her fingers twitching slightly as she considered his words. "What's the catch?"

Lucius tilted his head. "A catch? Why would there be one? You're my sister. You just need to take it."

Loreia didn't look convinced. "What kind of talent are we talking about?"

Lucius chuckled, tapping his fingers against his knee. "The kind you don't awaken with."

Her brow furrowed. "And?"

Lucius leaned forward slightly and smirked. "I'll give you the highest-tier one."

Loreia inhaled sharply. "Sovereign Tier?"

Lucius smirked, shaking his head. "Of course not. Sovereign is just a name they use to feel superior. I'm talking about Divine-Tier. The real highest tier."

Loreia's breath hitched for just a second, but she quickly masked it. "You're saying you can actually do that?"

Lucius nodded, his expression never faltering. "One more time, yes."

Loreia crossed her arms, tilting her head slightly. "And if I say no?"

Lucius sighed, as if the thought itself was ridiculous. "Are you sure you don't want it? Because if you refuse, you'll just keep getting beaten by Luna and Liora."

Loreia's eye twitched. The memory of her countless defeats in that hellish training replayed in her mind.

The overwhelming force, the helplessness, the absolute gap in strength.

She exhaled sharply. "Fine. Give it to me."

Lucius smirked, satisfied. "Good choice, big sister."

Without wasting time, he turned toward his system and hacked Loreia. "Hack her and give her the Divine-Tier Talent."

"Don't forget to add aura concealment, as I don't want to alert other people. It was troublesome."

Lucius turned back to Loreia again. "I forgot to mention—please endure it."

Loreia's brow furrowed. "Endure wha—"

Before she could finish, a sudden searing pain exploded through her body.

It was like all of her bones were being reforged from the inside out.

She staggered, her breath hitching as an unbearable heat spread through her veins.

She gasped as she clutched her arms. "What the hell is this?!"

Lucius observed her with a smirk. "Just endure it, okay?"

Loreia clenched her teeth, her fists trembling as the pain intensified.

Her body felt like it was breaking apart only to rebuild itself stronger, layer by layer.

"Damn you, Lucius!" she growled, forcing herself to stay on her feet.

Lucius crossed his arms, watching without much sympathy. "You wanted power. This is how it feels."@@novelbin@@

Just after a minute, the pain finally faded. Loreia's breath steadied as the pain vanished completely.

But before she checked what changed, she stormed straight toward Lucius and smacked him on the head.

"You bastard! How dare you forget to tell me about the pain?!"

Lucius barely flinched, rubbing his head with a smirk. "If I told you, you might've whined about it and backed out like a baby."

Without a second thought, Loreia smacked him again—harder.

"Whined? Me? Do I look like someone who whines?" She glared, her hands resting on her hips.

Lucius chuckled, tilting his head. "Right now? You look like someone who just tried to break my skull. Which, by the way, is pointless."

Loreia narrowed her eyes. "Do I need to remind you who I am?"

Lucius sighed theatrically. "Yeah, yeah. You're my big, superior sister."

She folded her arms, nodding. "Good. At least you remember that much."

She then took a deep breath and checked her own body but something was off.

There was no power that she could feel from her body. "Wait a minute... why don't I feel anything at all?"

Lucius leaned back, resting his elbow on the chair. "Of course not. It's talent, not raw power. You don't just instantly get stronger."

Lucius gestured toward Loreia's body. "You now have the potential to surpass others. Whether or not you reach that point depends on how you use it."

Loreia frowned. "So, you're telling me I just went through that hellish pain… and I got 'potential'?"

Lucius nodded. "That's right."

She exhaled sharply. "You're lucky I trust you, or I'd be strangling you right now."

Lucius smirked. "Trust? Or is it just the realization that you'd lose that fight?"

Loreia scoffed. "Try me."

Lucius chuckled but shook his head. "You're not ready for that yet. First, you need to get a beast to contract."

Loreia raised her eyebrow. "A beast?"

Lucius nodded. "Your talent doesn't mean much without a foundation. Get a powerful beast, form a contract, and from there, we'll see how much you've really changed."

Loreia crossed her arms, thinking for a moment. "So, what kind of beast are we talking about? Something strong, obviously."

Lucius tapped his fingers on the chair's armrest. "I'll handle that part. You focus on preparing yourself."

He waved his hand dismissively. "Your body is different now, but you still need to get used to it before you rush into a contract. A weak mind won't handle a strong beast." Discover stories at My Virtual Library Empire

Loreia rolled her shoulders again, testing her flexibility. "Fine. But don't expect me to sit around waiting forever."

Lucius smirked. "I wouldn't dream of it, big sister."

Loreia sighed, stretching her arms. "Alright. Guess I need to start figuring out what this 'divine-tier talent' actually means."

She then shot him a look. "And if there's any more pain you forgot to warn me about, I swear—"

Lucius raised his hands. "No more surprises… for now."

Loreia narrowed her eyes but finally let it go. "Fine. But I'm keeping an eye on you, little brother."

Lucius smirked. "I'd expect nothing less."
