Beast Hack: Customizing Beasts and Capturing Beauties

Chapter 250 Throwing Wealth Like It's Nothing!

The staff frowned and bowed down slightly. "I apologize, but this Argentis has already been ordered by another customer."

Loreia's smirk faded slightly. "What?"

Luna didn't miss a beat. She stepped forward and smirked. "If that's the case, then we can pay more."

The staff hesitated, glancing between them. "I'm afraid the sale has already been arranged—"

Before he could finish, Luna reached into her coat and pulled out three A-Tier Beast Cores, holding them up for him to see.

The nearby customers subtly turned their heads, sensing something valuable had just been revealed.

Luna then smirked. "Do you know what these are?"

The staff's eyes widened, and even Liora raised her eyebrows.

"These are A-Tier Beast Cores," Luna continued. "And I'm offering you three of them."

She gestured toward Argentis with a casual flick of her wrist. "That beast? It's only a C-Tier. The price difference is enormous. If you're a smart businessman, you should know what to do."

Loreia crossed her arms, watching the staff member's reaction carefully. "Are you sure you're willing to reject this offer for some unknown buyer?"

The staff swallowed. He was sweating now. A-Tier Cores weren't something that just anyone could get their hands on.

After a moment of internal struggle, he sighed. "I… I'll have to speak with my manager."

Luna smirked. "Sure. Make it quick."

As the staff hurried off, Loreia turned to Luna, shaking her head. "You really just threw that down like it was pocket change, huh?"

Luna grinned. "Oh, please. This is nothing compared to what we can get later. Besides, Master wouldn't care. He'd probably just laugh if he knew we were negotiating like this."

Liora exhaled. "If the manager refuses, what's the backup plan?"

Luna's smirk didn't falter. "Then we make them an offer they really can't refuse."

Not long after, the staff returned, accompanied by a large, broad-shouldered man who was the manager of the Beast Castle.

He immediately glared at Loreia, Luna and Liora to see who they were, but soon he realized that they were not ordinary.

He tried to calm down and bowed down slightly. "Apologies, but we still cannot sell this beast. This Argentis was specially ordered by a very important customer."

Luna's smirk didn't waver. "I see. Then how about these?"

Without hesitation, she reached into her coat again, pulling out even more beast cores. This time, a total of ten A-Tier Beast Cores.

The moment she revealed them, the manager frowned and began to hesitate.

Even some of the other customers in the market turned their heads, surprised to see so many cores at once.

The manager clenched his jaw. This wasn't a simple situation anymore.

The previous buyer had paid with five A-Tier Beast Cores—a substantial price for a C-Tier Beast like Argentis.

At the time, it was a ridiculous overpayment, enough that they immediately accepted.

But now these three women had just doubled that offer.

For the first time in a long while, the manager felt stuck. If he rejected them outright, he might offend powerful customers he didn't yet understand.

But if he accepted, he'd be crossing someone else who clearly had the wealth and influence to claim the beast first.

Luna tilted her head, watching the internal struggle on his face. "You seem troubled, Manager. What's wrong?"

The manager exhaled slowly. "The one who ordered it isn't just a random noble. They are also someone powerful, and they paid well. If I cancel their order, it could cause problems."

Loreia crossed her arms. "You mean to tell me they only paid less than what we're offering, and yet you're hesitating?"

Liora's eyes locked onto the manager. "Are they more important than us?"

The manager gulped. "That's… not what I meant. But this customer isn't someone we can afford to offend lightly."

Luna smirked. "And you think offending us is a safer option?"

The manager flinched slightly. He could feel it now—the weight behind her words.

There was no fear in her tone, only confidence. Confidence that she wasn't the kind of person to be refused.

The manager took a deep breath, trying to maintain his composure. "I… will need a moment to think."

Luna leaned forward slightly, resting her elbow on the counter. "Sure, take your time. But make sure your decision is the right one."

The manager wiped the sweat off his brow. He had just found himself caught between two major forces.

But after a brief moment of thought, he knew what he had to do.

Straightening himself, he forced a polite smile and bowed slightly. "Please wait a moment. I need to consult with another manager before making a final decision."

Loreia raised her eyebrow. "Another manager?" Enjoy exclusive content from My Virtual Library Empire

Luna smirked, leaning against the counter. "Ah, I see. This is just an excuse, isn't it?"

The manager kept his expression neutral, but internally, he was rattled. They saw through him immediately.

Truth be told, there was no 'other manager' to consult. What he was really doing was making a call to the original buyer.

If he went ahead and canceled the deal without warning, he could be risking his own neck.@@novelbin@@

Liora watched the manager carefully. "Fine. But don't take too long."

The manager nodded quickly and turned away, walking briskly toward the back offices.

As soon as he was out of earshot, Loreia let out a sigh. "Well, that was obvious. He's not calling another manager—he's calling the other buyer."

Luna chuckled. "Of course he is. He's desperate. If he offends the first buyer, he might lose business—or worse."

Liora crossed her arms. "Then should we just take the beast and leave?"

Loreia smirked. "Tempting, but let's see how this plays out. I want to know who I just pissed off."

Luna's eyes gleamed with excitement. "That's the spirit, big sister. Let's see who comes knocking."

Meanwhile, in the manager's private office…

The manager immediately grabbed his communicator, his hands slightly sweaty as he dialed the direct line of the original buyer.

He knew this was a dangerous move, but he had no choice.

After a few tense seconds, the call connected.

"What is it?"

The manager swallowed hard before speaking. "Sir, I apologize for disturbing you, but I must inform you—someone has offered a higher price for the beast you reserved."

A brief silence followed. Then, the voice responded, colder this time.

"...Higher price?"

The manager nodded. "Yes. They've offered double what you originally paid—ten A-Tier Beast Cores."

The silence that followed was longer this time.

The manager held his breath.

Then, finally—

"...I see."

The call ended abruptly.

The manager's stomach twisted as he stared at the disconnected line.

Something told him this wasn't over.
