Bio-engineered Dinosaur in the immortal world

Chapter 38: Domination

As the dust settled, the world seemed to pause.

Silence.

Stillness.

And then—

BOOM!

An explosion of movement!

Glock'Nine shot to his feet like a crazed demon! His scarlet feathers shimmered, his massive wings flared out, and his chest puffed up so high that it looked like it was about to explode!

Then—

"AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!"

A thunderous, bone-rattling laugh tore through the battlefield.

It wasn't a normal laugh.

It was the kind of laugh that shook the heavens.

The kind of laugh that could make mountains tremble.

The kind of laugh that only a truly deranged, newly-empowered rooster could produce.

Glock'Nine threw back his head and let out a victorious, screeching cackle that made the Henragens flap their ugly wings in both awe and terror.

His beady eyes blazed with a frenzied light.

"HAHAHAHAHAHA! YES! YES! YES! WHAT IS THIS POWER?! I FEEL INVINCIBLE! I FEEL UNSTOPPABLE! I FEEL LIKE I COULD KICK THE HEAVENS IN THE TEETH!"

His clawed feet dug into the earth, his feathers ruffling violently as his energy surged wildly.

"DO YOU SEE THIS?! DO YOU SEE THIS, RED'RIBBON?!"

He spun toward his fellow Dragorooster, his eyes glinting with manic delight.

"YOU SAID I'M WEAK! YOU SAID I'M LOUD! YOU SAID I'M A FOOL! WELL, GUESS WHAT?! I AM A LOUD FOOL—BUT NOW I'M A POWERFUL LOUD FOOL! AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!"

The Henragens screeched in excitement.

"MASTER GLOCK'NINE HAS TRANSCENDED!"

"MASTER GLOCK'NINE IS UNMATCHED!"

"MASTER GLOCK'NINE WILL LEAD US TO GLORY!"

"MASTER GLOCK'NINE IS… IS… OH GODS, HE'S SO LOUD!"

Even the Henragens were trembling at how absolutely unhinged he had become.

Glock'Nine's entire body crackled with strange energy.

His claws glowed faintly, his tail feathers pulsated, and even his beak looked sharper.

"HAHAHAHAHA! COME, COME, COME! I SHALL FIGHT ANYONE! ANYTIME! RIGHT HERE! RIGHT NOW!"

He flapped his massive wings and suddenly jumped into the air!

Then—

BOOM!

He landed with such force that the ground cracked beneath him!

He grinned wildly.

"RED'RIBBON! COME! LET US FIGHT!"

Red'Ribbon groaned.

"Ugh. Here we go again."

Glock'Nine stomped forward, his head high.

"WHAT?! YOU THINK I'M JOKING?! YOU THINK I'M DELUSIONAL?! YOU THINK THIS POWER IS JUST A FLUKE?! THEN FIGHT ME! FIGHT ME RIGHT NOW!"

Red'Ribbon tilted his head lazily.

"No."

"WHAT?! WHY NOT?!"

Red'Ribbon let out a long, drawn-out sigh.

"Because we're equal, you idiot. You and I both know that. Even if you got a little power boost, it's probably just an aftereffect."

Glock'Nine twitched.

"AFTEREFFECT?!"

He stomped his clawed foot down.

"YOU THINK THIS IS JUST AN AFTEREFFECT?! YOU THINK THIS IS TEMPORARY?! YOU THINK I'M STILL THE SAME GLOCK'NINE FROM FIVE MINUTES AGO?! FOOL! FOOL, I SAY! I HAVE TRANSCENDED!"

Red'Ribbon rubbed his beak with his wing.

"Ugh. Here we go."

"FIGHT ME!"

"No."

"FIGHT ME, YOU COWARD! I'LL EVEN LET YOU TAKE THE FIRST MOVE!"

Red'Ribbon narrowed his eyes.

"Tch. I don't have time for this."

Glock'Nine flared his wings.

"I SWEAR ON MY FORTY-NINTH WIFE THAT I WILL NOT ATTACK FIRST! COME ON! PROVE ME WRONG! HIT ME! ATTACK ME! SHOW ME THAT I'M WEAK!"

Red'Ribbon's eye twitched.

Wei Long, who had been watching in silence, smirked.

This is interesting.

The other Henragens had gone completely still.

Even Xi Na, who was usually calm, was now watching nervously.

Red'Ribbon finally exhaled.

"Fine. You want a fight? Let's do it."

The moment he said that, the entire battlefield froze.

Wei Long's grin widened.

This is getting good.

Glock'Nine laughed wildly.

"YES! YES! YES! FINALLY! YOU WON'T REGRET THIS—WELL, ACTUALLY, YOU WILL! AHAHAHAHAHAHA! COME, COME, COME! SHOW ME YOUR STRENGTH!"

Red'Ribbon sighed.

Then—

With one swift movement, he attacked!

Red'Ribbon was fast.

Faster than any normal Dragorooster.

His claws flashed like lightning.

His wings sliced through the air.

And in an instant—

BOOM!

His strike was clean.

Precise.

It should have been impossible to dodge.

It should have sent Glock'Nine flying.

But—

CLANG!

A shockwave erupted.

And there, standing unmoved, was Glock'Nine.

With a single wing raised, he had blocked the attack.

Red'Ribbon's eyes widened.

"What—"

Glock'Nine's grin stretched even wider.

"AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! DID YOU SEE THAT?! DID YOU SEE THAT, RED'RIBBON?! I BLOCKED IT! I BLOCKED YOUR ATTACK LIKE IT WAS NOTHING!"

Red'Ribbon gritted his beak.

"Hmph. Lucky fluke."

Then—

He attacked again.

WHOOSH!

His wings blurred.

His claws became streaks of silver.

SLASH! SLASH! SLASH!

Glock'Nine blocked them all.

One by one.

Effortlessly.

"HAHAHAHAHAHA! WHAT'S WRONG, RED'RIBBON?! I THOUGHT WE WERE EQUAL! BUT I'M NOT EVEN TRYING!"

Red'Ribbon's eye twitched.

He attacked again.

And again.

And again.

And again.

And again.

Every.

Single.

Strike.

Blocked.

Anticipated.

Defended.

Without even counterattacking.

Until finally—

Red'Ribbon stopped.

Stepped back.

His beak clenched.

His eyes narrowed.

And for the first time in his life…

He realized something.

This was no fluke.

This was no temporary power boost.

This was real.

And now—

Glock'Nine was stronger than him.

"AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!"

Glock'Nine stood tall, victorious.

"WHAT DID I SAY?! WHAT DID I SAY, RED'RIBBON?! I AM NO LONGER THE SAME ROOSTER I WAS! BOW BEFORE MY POWER! AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!"

Suddenly, the air began to thicken.

There was a strange tension to it.

Glock'Nine, still buzzing with his newfound strength, suddenly swung his head toward Wei Long!

His beady eyes burned with unrestrained fury.

He flared his wings, puffed out his massive, scarlet chest, and with all the righteous indignation of a rooster scorned, he screeched at the top of his lungs!

"YOU! YOU, WEI LONG! YOU'VE HUMILIATED ME FOR TOO LONG! YOU THINK JUST BECAUSE YOU'RE SOME COUSIN FREAK OF MINE, YOU CAN KEEP BEATING ME UP?! WELL, GUESS WHAT?! TODAY IS THE DAY I TAKE MY REVENGE!"

Wei Long sneered.

"Tch. I don't have time for this nonsense."

But Glock'Nine was already charging.

"AHAHAHAHAHAHA! FIGHT ME, YOU LIZARD! FIGHT ME LIKE A REAL BEAST YOU ARE!"

The ground cracked beneath his feet as he launched himself forward.

His talons glowed with energy.

His beak gleamed with terrifying sharpness.

His wings flapped with the power of a storm!

And then—

SMACK!

With a single, effortless flick of his tail, Wei Long slapped Glock'Nine straight into the dirt!

BOOM!

His head buried deep into the ground, his legs flailing helplessly above.

Silence.

Xi Na's jaw dropped.

Red'Ribbon let out a wheeze of laughter.

Wei Long just snorted.

"Annoying."

Glock'Nine's legs twitched.

Then—

With a loud POP, he ripped his head out of the ground, dirt spilling everywhere.

But—

He was still grinning.

"HAHAHAHAHAHA! YOU THINK THAT CAN STOP ME?! THINK AGAIN, LIZARD! I'M INVINCIBLE NOW!"

Wei Long's eye twitched.

This damn rooster.

He was actually pissing him off.

"Xi Na."

Xi Na flinched.

Wei Long's voice was calm, but that made it even more terrifying.

He turned his crimson gaze to her, and without any hesitation, he spoke coldly.

"Control your beast. Or I'll replace that piece of trash."

Xi Na's heart nearly stopped. With her heart, she tremblingly says, "Please… don't cause trouble anymore."

As if there is a magic word to it, Glock'Nine, who was about to charge again, suddenly froze.

It stopped for a few seconds.

Then slowly, his entire body began twitching.

For some unknown reason, a strange, overwhelming pressure settled over his entire body to the point that he felt every single feather affected by it.

Then, before he even realized what he was doing, he lowered his wings consciously, as if it were a natural reaction.

Soon, his violent, powered-up energy flickered, and all the excitement in his eyes was drained away in that instant.

The next thing he knew, his strong, solid stance crumbled.

And then—

He just sighed.

"Okay, okay. I won't attack."

Xi Na nearly collapsed in relief.

Red'Ribbon's beak gaped open.

Wei Long narrowed his eyes slightly.

He knew exactly what just happened.

And now, he was even more certain of it.

This was not normal.

Something about his taming ability had changed.

He closed his eyes, ignoring the others completely.

Glock'Nine, now calm, fluffed his feathers and tried to act like nothing had happened.

Red'Ribbon, however, was having none of it.

He sneered.

"Heh! You felt that hit from him, didn't you?!"

Glock'Nine twitched violently.

Then, in an instant, he spun toward Red'Ribbon and screeched—

"SHUT UP! SHUT UP, YOU FOOL! I JUST DIDN'T FEEL LIKE FIGHTING ANYMORE!"

Red'Ribbon smirked.

"Oh? Is that so? Because it looked to me like you suddenly got real quiet the moment she told you not to attack."

Glock'Nine's feathers bristled.

He flared his wings aggressively.

"YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT! YOU THINK YOU'RE SMART?! YOU THINK YOU'RE BETTER THAN ME?! YOUR ATTACKS COULDN'T EVEN MAKE ME TICKLE! AHAHAHAHAHAHA! PATHETIC! PATHETIC, I SAY!"

Red'Ribbon gritted his beak.

"You damn—"

But before he could attack again, Wei Long spoke coldly.

"Shut up. Both of you."

Everyone froze.

Wei Long wasn't even looking at them.

His eyes were still closed.

But his voice was sharp.

Dangerous.

"I'm trying to understand something. Don't be too noisy. Or I'll make sure neither of you can open your beaks again."

Glock'Nine and Red'Ribbon both clamped their beaks shut.

Xi Na, still trembling, dared to glance at Wei Long.

His expression was unreadable.

But there was something… different.

Something dangerous.

Something far, far more terrifying than anything she had ever sensed before.

Wei Long was onto something.

And whatever it was…

It was like going to change everything once she found out about it.

However, despite Wei Long calling the system nonstop, it still wouldn't display any kind of notification in front of him.

"What's going on? Why do I feel like my attack earlier was too strong and that I have authority over that loudbasstard?" he mumbled in curiosity.
