Chapter 372 Oldest Dragon Family
Emilia's mouth opened, but before she could argue, Emberly pressed on, amusement dancing in her gaze. "If you saw how Tempt flaunts her succubus presence, you'd start questioning your own race."
The teasing jab hit its mark, and Emilia groaned internally. Temptation—or just Tempt—was the pure embodiment of lust and seduction, a succubus who practically oozed temptation with every breath. Even the Demons Of Beginning couldn't put their hands on how that succubus was beyond any understanding.
"M-Mother..." Emilia finally forced out, cheeks burning.
Emberly laughed, a full, delighted sound that filled the room. "Ah, there we go! Took you long enough."@@novelbin@@
Just then, another voice cut in, laced with amusement. "I'll say—Emilia is adorable, Mother."
The sound of measured footsteps followed as Pyris entered, his expression calm yet entertained. Silent Night trailed behind him, her face composed, but Emilia could feel the tension radiating off of her. Inside, she was seething.
Pyris walked to Emberly without hesitation, taking her hand and pressing a light kiss to its back. "Good morning, Mother. I trust you had a good night's sleep?"
Emberly's smirk softened into something more genuine. She lifted her hand and ran her fingers through his hair in a gentle, almost motherly gesture. "I did, son. It was the best night I've had in a long time." Of course how could it be not. How long had she been waiting for that night to happen. Her being twitched even her lower bottoms did as well. What a night it was.
She could feel her breath turning hot in his lustful presence.
Pyris nodded. "I'm glad, Mother." He didn't tease his mother sparingly letting her off the hook.
Then, he turned to Emilia, his arms opening slightly in invitation. Without hesitation—but still embarrassingly aware of Emberly's gaze—she stepped forward and wrapped her arms around him. Despite the warmth of his embrace, her eyes still flickered toward Emberly, her embarrassment lingering.
Emberly, simply smiled warmly. But as her gaze drifted over Pyris's shoulder to land on Silent Night, that warmth vanished.
For just a split second, the air in the room dropped. Emberly's striking eyes darkened, her smile never fading, but something sinister flickered in their depths—like a predator sizing up prey.
Silent Night shivered.
Emberly was indeed terrifying.
Silent Night braced herself for the worst. The moment Emberly's eyes met hers, she had expected something—judgment, punishment, or at least a cold remark. But instead, the Mistress of House Obsidian simply smiled.
'What…?' Silent Night was momentarily thrown off. Why was Duchess Emberly just looking at her like that? Was she mocking her? No—there was no malice in those eyes, just… amusement?
Realization hit her like a cold wave. 'I'm being paranoid.' She had no reason to expect hostility. The mother of the God-Slayer had no need to do anything to her.
Silent Night had already been claimed by her son.
The moment the Eternal's Seal had settled in her soul, her fate had been decided. Silent Night wasn't just following Pyris now—she was bound to him, completely and utterly loyal to House Obsidian. It was pointless to think Emberly would react otherwise. Pyris had won.
Emberly's smile wasn't a threat. It was approval. Her son had taken the envoy of the Dragon Emperor and made her his own. Silent Night lowered her gaze, her posture shifting subtly. 'I was worried for nothing.'
Pyris, meanwhile, had his attention to Emilia, his voice smooth. "Did you sleep well?" The question was unnecessary—he already knew the answer. Emilia had spent the night in his bed, tangled between him and his other women. But he still asked, because it pleased him to hear it from her.
Emilia lifted her gaze, her eyes filled with something deep, something unfathomable—a love Pyris had grown very familiar with.
He couldn't help himself. He leaned in and pressed a kiss against her lips, the softness of it lingering.
She melted into him instantly, kissing him back.
From the side, Emberly turned away slightly, a flicker of something crossing her face before she quickly cleared her thoughts. 'What am I thinking? *Ahem*'
Silent Night, meanwhile, kept her head bowed. She knew better than to dare look more than what her new master permitted.
"Pyris… you're playing favorites."
The teasing voice cut through the air, and Emilia sighed, already knowing exactly who had just arrived. Of course they would choose this moment. Turning, she saw two stunning figures descending the grand staircase—Alexa and Alera, both looking effortlessly beautiful as ever.
Pyris, Emberly, and Silent Night also turned to acknowledge them.
Emilia folded her arms, unimpressed. "Don't tell me you saw this future too and decided it was the perfect moment to intrude, Alexa?"
Pyris stood behind Emilia now, his arms slipping around her waist, holding her possessively as he watched his approaching women.
Alexa, ever the oracle, smiled lightly, her golden eyes gleaming under the morning light. Her darkened golden hair cascaded like liquid sunlight. "Not at all, sister," she said smoothly. "This was all Alera's idea. She wanted to find a certain man who thought he could escape bed so early."
Alera, standing beside her, avoided Pyris's gaze, but the mischievous smirk on her lips said everything. The morning sun reflected off her dark hair, making it shine like obsidian silk.
Pyris exhaled, shaking his head slightly. "Enough of this." His voice carried authority, amusement, and something deeper. "Come here, girls."
Pyris's words held power, and neither Alexa nor Alera hesitated. They approached with unhurried grace, their eyes locked onto him. But it wasn't just obedience—it was something more.
Emilia huffed softly but didn't resist as Pyris kept his arms around her waist. "See? This is what happens when you're a man with too much charm."
"Oh, sister, don't act like you're not enjoying it," Alexa teased, her golden eyes glinting as she slipped into Pyris's personal space like she belonged there.
Alera, still smirking, leaned into Emilia's side and poked her waist playfully. "You were stealing all the morning kisses. We demand equal rights."
Emilia shot her a look. "Demand?"
"Mhm."
Pyris chuckled lowly, amused by their antics. "Then take what you want."
Alexa didn't wait for further invitation. She reached up and placed a soft kiss on Pyris's jaw before resting her forehead against his chest, a quiet moment just between them. Alera followed right after, her own lips brushing against his shoulder before she leaned into his side.
Silent Night stood frozen, watching this with open disbelief.
This… warmth? In House Obsidian?
Everything about the estate had always screamed dominance—power, elegance, and the overwhelming presence of the God-Slayer. But this… this moment between them was different.

She had expected cold authority, discipline, and distance from the oldest dragon family it's roots going far back than anyone knew. Instead, there was laughter. There was teasing. There was a genuine warmth between them that seemed impossible in a house as mighty as this.
And yet, here it was.
Even Emberly, the terrifying Cursed Mistress, was smiling.
What do you think?
