Chapter 1118 Meeting From Two Worlds (Part 2)
The moment the two saw each other, it was instant recognition for Aurora. There was no doubt in her mind; the moment she had seen the person at the academy, it was burned into her mind.
It had somewhat become an obsession for her, and in her free time, his image would appear. It also didn't help that only recently one of the few people that she had run into was the so-called "Jake." Seeing him by surprise, she just had to blurt out his name and believed that she might just be in a dream again.
"Jake?" Charlotte said, turning her head back towards the two of them. The way they were staring at each other, it was as if they had known each other.
"Wait, that's not.."
"Jake!" Aurora called out again, and she had sprung up from the bed and rushed over by his side to get a closer look. She didn't come in for a hug or anything like that but was staring up as she admired his pretty face.
"She finally got out of bed, I knew he was good at magic, but not this good," Charlotte sulked.
"What happened to you, why are you here right now?" Aurora asked. "I know, did you get sucked into that magic portal thing as well. You were at the house when it happened, right?"
"That must be it, both of us have been charted away to this place, but don't worry, I'm an expert here, I can help you out and make sure you're okay, we can get through this together!"
She said as she turned around, her nostrils were flaring from the excitement, and she needed to calm herself down.
"Wait!" She said, turning around. "If you're here, does that mean my brother is here as well? Did he come here with you, maybe we all got sucked in. Maybe it was that black cat, that damned cat, I knew they were bad luck or something and look what happened to us."
Aurora was speaking on and on, not even giving Raze a chance to speak or try and clear up this misunderstanding, and Charlotte was unable to follow any of it.
"So, does she know you, Raze?" Charlotte eventually asked. Those words had cut through the chatter like a knife, making Aurora stop instantly.
She had continued to hear that name from Charlotte's mouth, and for her to call this person by the same name.
"Raze… no that can't be right, this is not Raze, this is Jake, you're Kelly's brother, right? There can't be someone that looks exactly like you down to the very last cell!"
It was eventually going to come out anyway, so Raze thought that he should get it over and done with.
"Aurora, you are right, I am Jake… the person that you met in Alterian," Raze explained. "But that is not my real name, I am Raze, and that is who I am here, in Pagna. I know things must be shocking for you, and I'll try to give the best explanation I can."
Aurora naturally took a step back, almost like she was about to faint.
"It's true that I am stuck in this world like you, and it happened in a similar way," Raze lied. "But I have been here for a long time, almost a year. I'm afraid that your brother isn't here, at least not that I know of."
"Wait, but how can that be?" Aurora asked. "I saw you just like yesterday, that's impossible… unless you know a way to get to Alterian and back!"
This was news to Charlotte, and she was even confused by this. How were the two able to meet? It was clear that Raze didn't know a way back; if he did, he wouldn't have been so hung up on trying to get the Golden Globe.
"What you saw in Alterian is part of my unique magical trait," Raze lied again. For one, it was a technique that used partly Dark magic, and secondly, it wasn't something he wanted in the hands of others to use or for it to be spread. "I can use my magic to create a magical body on the other end."
"The time I can spend there is limited because of this, and that's when I saw you and your brother. I've been trying to use this skill to do my best to help us with the situation that we are in right now."
Aurora sat back down on the edge of the bed. Her hopes of seeing her brother, of a way of getting back, they were somewhat dashed, but only had risen slightly and for only a slight moment, so it wasn't too shocking.@@novelbin@@
"I am doing everything in my power to find a way back," Raze said. "We currently have a lead, and you don't have to get involved. I think it's best if you just rest here when you can, and when I find a way, I will inform you."
As long as the Golden Globe could be used multiple times, then Raze was happy to send people to places they wanted to go, as long as he got what he wanted in the end.
He didn't know why, but he also felt somewhat partly responsible for what had happened to Aurora.
With all that said and done, Raze decided that he needed to leave; he wanted to find Safa to upgrade his Blazer, so there wasn't much for him to spend, and he had left the two of them alone.
"I can't believe it… what a crazy set of events," Aurora thought.
"Are you finally ready to leave, we can't just stay here forever, like Raze said, we should spend our time and move."
For once, Aurora agreed as she stood up and followed Charlotte's lead. First, they had visited those that were currently present in the town hall.
The Mayor, Fixteen, and she was introduced to them. They weren't going to leave the place just yet, as she was also waiting for the other Mage to come eventually.
Instead, they decided to head to one of the reception rooms, and here they could see Alba with the rest of the Crimson Crane, looking and playing with various items in their hands.
"Oh, you're here!" Alba said. Continue your journey with My Virtual Library Empire
"Ah, is that the girl you were talking about before?" Tilon asked, holding onto his shield with a grin. "How was it, did you meet the Dark Magus then?"
"Dark… Magus?" Aurora replied.
