Demon Lord and His Unknown Child With the Empress

Vol. 1 - Chapter 91 - Sister

A graceful and beautiful young woman streaked across the sky like a rainbow, arriving above Nanli City. She looked down at the bustling streets below with a sharp, searching gaze.

Her appearance bore a striking resemblance to Luo Ruying—fair skin, exquisite facial features, and unparalleled elegance. The difference, however, lay in her long hair that fell to her waist in a unique blend of black and white.

It should be here… Luo Ruxin held a fragment of a broken sword in her hand, her brows furrowing as she gazed at the vast Nanli City below. Could my dear sister really be living here…?

After Ning Yechen’s secret visit to the Temple of Goddess Luo, Luo Tianya had sensed something might have happened to his daughter Luo Ruying. Thus, he sent Luo Ruying’s younger sister, Luo Ruxin, to search for her.

The broken sword fragment in Luo Ruxin’s hand was a piece of the Luo Divine Sword, broken long ago. This fragment had the ability to sense the location of the sword’s main body. The closer it was to the sword, the more it would emit a faint glow, guiding its holder. In the Heavenly Realm, the fragment had remained unresponsive. But as soon as she secretly descended to the Mortal Realm, the fragment had begun to react!

Following its guidance, Luo Ruxin first arrived at a small house deep in the Monster Domain Forest. After examining the area, she found evidence that someone had been living there. Residual traces of the aura unique to the Luo Divine Clan still lingered faintly on the ground.

She concluded that Luo Ruying had indeed stayed there for some time, though it seemed she had moved after encountering some danger. Fearing her sister might have been in trouble, Luo Ruxin continued to search, relying on the sword fragment to guide her.

Eventually, it led her to Nanli City.

Now, as she hovered above the city, the fragment’s glow had grown stronger and more frequent. Luo Ruxin was certain her sister was somewhere in the city! Clutching the fragment tightly, she descended into the streets to continue her search.

What she didn’t notice, however, was dark shadows emerging in the sky where she had been moments before.

“Heavenly King cultivation…"

“A person from the Heavenly Realm…"

“Exterminate?”

"The Demon Lord has ordered that any individuals from the Heavenly Realm should be monitored and reported immediately!"

"We should not act for now…"

With that, the shadows twisted and disappeared into the void again.

At Ning Yechen’s residence…

Qi Yuan spent some time playing with Luo Hongye before leaving. The main reason for her departure was the constant icy gaze from Yue Qingyou, which made her feel as though she were sitting on pins and needles.

She felt as though staying any longer would put her life in jeopardy.

After Qi Yuan left, Ning Yechen and Luo Ruying seriously contemplated whether to send Luo Hongye to the academy’s kindergarten to interact with children her age. Since there were still a few days before Nanli Academy opened enrollment, they decided to take their time weighing the decision.

At this moment, Ning Yechen and Yue Qingyou received a transmission from one of their shadow guards. "Demon Lord, Left Guardian, someone from the Heavenly Realm has appeared. It seems she is heading in your way."

Ning Yechen and Yue Qingyou narrowed their eyes, a sharp glint of coldness flashing through their gazes.

So those old fools from the hidden families of the Heavenly Realm couldn’t resist sending someone again? Ning Yechen thought. Good. Just what I need! I’ve been looking for someone to interrogate about who’s behind taking my wife’s immortal bone and heart. One day, I’ll make them return it!

"Demon Lord, allow me to handle this." Yue Qingyou immediately volunteered.

She had learned about Luo Ruying’s loss of her heart and bone in the Heavenly Realm and her subsequent escape with Luo Hongye to the Mortal Realm. If the person approaching was involved in the pursuit of the Demon Realm’s madam and little princess, Yue Qingyou would show no mercy.

Anyone who dares harm the madam or little princess is declaring war on the entire Demon Realm!

"Go ahead. Remember to keep that person alive," Ning Yechen instructed, giving Yue Qingyou a sharp look. He was more worried that Yue Qingyou would go overboard and accidentally kill the intruder outright.

Yue Qingyou nodded with a faint smile, then stood and politely excused herself to Luo Ruying, claiming she was going out to buy some ingredients.

Luo Ruying frowned slightly, watching Yue Qingyou’s retreating figure in confusion. Didn’t we just stock up on food a few days ago? Why would she need to buy more so soon…?

And was it just her imagination, or did Ning Yechen and Yue Qingyou exchange subtle glances earlier? It felt as though they were hiding something from her…

Noticing Luo Ruying’s contemplative expression, Ning Yechen asked with a curious smile, "Is something the matter, Dear?"

Has she figured something out…?

"No, it’s nothing." Luo Ruying shook her head. I must be overthinking things. Asking about it would make me seem distrustful of him…

She firmly believed Ning Yechen wasn’t the type to hide anything from her.

There’s no way he and Yue Qingyou could have some sort of… special relationship, right…?

In the streets of Nanli City, guided by the sword fragment, Luo Ruxin steadily approached Ning Yechen’s courtyard. As the fragment’s pull grew stronger, her heart filled with anticipation. It seems my sister is nearby!

But the next instant, Luo Ruxin stopped in her tracks, her expression turning serious. Her eyes scanned her surroundings with extreme vigilance.

The lively chatter and bustling noise of the city had vanished, and the once-crowded street was now eerily deserted and utterly silent. Yet she could feel numerous pairs of eyes fixed on her, watching her every move.

Too focused on the sword fragment, Luo Ruxin hadn’t noticed the change in her surroundings until now.

A chill ran down her spine. She, a Heavenly Queen, was suddenly on high alert.

From the end of the street, Yue Qingyou emerged and walked calmly toward her.

Luo Ruxin instinctively tightened her grip on her sword, her brows knitting in suspicion. She couldn’t sense any cultivation from this woman. There was no spiritual energy emanating from her at all. Is she far stronger than me? Or is she simply masking her strength?

Yue Qingyou’s cold gaze met Luo Ruxin’s, but just as she was about to speak, she noticed the spiritual energy radiating from Luo Ruxin. The energy felt remarkably similar to that of the madam of the Demon Realm, Luo Ruying.

A closer look showed that Luo Ruxin’s appearance bore a resemblance to Luo Ruying’s.@@novelbin@@

Could she be related to the madam’s family?

Realizing this, Yue Qingyou silently called off the shadowy figures lurking nearby and replaced her cold demeanor with the polite smile of a maid.

Luo Ruxin suddenly felt the oppressive, chilling aura around her dissipate.

In the blink of an eye, Yue Qingyou was gone, and the street had returned to its bustling state.

The sense of danger she had felt just moments ago seemed to have vanished completely, as though it had never existed.

Could it all have been my imagination…?
