"Eh?! Wh-what?!" Luo Ruxin exclaimed, stunned with shock.

The news was simply too overwhelming for her to process. She had never expected that not only would she find her sister, but her sister would even have a daughter! After over two centuries apart, her beloved elder sister now had a child?!

This was too sudden! She couldn’t accept it! Her dearest sister had gotten married without her knowing!

"Sister! Who… who is it?! Who’s the scoundrel?!" Luo Ruxin demanded, her face full of anger.

In her mind, no one in the entire world could possibly be worthy of her beautiful, powerful, kind, and gentle sister!

Luo Ruying’s face turned slightly red as she reached out to hold Ning Yechen’s arm and pulled him to her side. "Ruxin, let me introduce you. This is my husband, Ning Yechen."

"Hello," Ning Yechen greeted with a friendly smile. Although she had just called him a ‘scoundrel’, he didn’t take it to heart. She was his sister-in-law after all.

Luo Ruxin turned her gaze to Ning Yechen, her expression growing even more stunned. Although she had noticed Ning Yechen standing beside Luo Ruying as soon as she came in, she hadn’t detected any spiritual energy from him and had automatically dismissed him as some kind of servant.

But this man… was her sister’s husband, her brother-in-law?!

Luo Ruxin’s eyes narrowed, scrutinizing Ning Yechen like a suspect under interrogation. Her expression showed blatant disdain, even a tinge of killing intent.

This scoundrel had defiled her beloved sister! Unforgivable!

"Husband, my sister didn’t mean it. Please don’t take her words to heart," Luo Ruying said, worried that Ning Yechen might feel offended.

"It’s fine," Ning Yechen replied with a smile. He could tell Luo Ruxin wasn’t acting out of malice. She was doing it deliberately! She clearly saw him as an enemy.

Luo Ruxin let out a cold huff and no longer looked at Ning Yechen as her gaze swept around the courtyard and the interior of the house.

Broken-down walls, shabby furniture and decoration, a dilapidated house… In reality, everything in the courtyard and house was brand new, but to Luo Ruxin, who had lived in luxurious palaces in the Heavenly Realm, everything here was basically rundown.

Sister actually lives in such a decrepit place… It’s all this man’s fault! He’s utterly unworthy of her!

Unable to find anything suspicious, Luo Ruxin dismissed her earlier doubts and turned her gaze to Yue Qingyou. When she met Yue Qingyou’s eyes, her expression changed dramatically, and her hand instinctively reached for the hilt of her celestial sword.

It’s her! The woman I saw outside earlier! So, she’s one of Sister’s maids…

Yue Qingyou, composed and poised, gave Luo Ruxin a polite bow. "Greetings, Miss Luo."

"Ah… Um…" Luo Ruxin loosened her grip on her sword and composed herself when she saw that Yue Qingyou didn’t have any spiritual energy.

Why am I letting a mere maid intimidate me? Ridiculous.

But as Luo Ruxin looked Yue Qingyou over, she couldn’t help but admire her. Such elegance and beauty… She’s actually just a maid?

Returning her attention to the little girl in Luo Ruying’s arms, Luo Ruxin felt her heart melt. What an adorable child! She looked so much like Sister when she was young.

"Hello, cutie~ What’s your name?" Luo Ruxin asked warmly, her tone filled with affection as she leaned closer.

But instead of responding, Luo Hongye burrowed deeper into Luo Ruying’s arms, too shy to answer.

Luo Ruxin froze in place, her smile stiffening. Did I just get… rejected?!
