Chapter 249 Destiny Report 3.

He opened his mark and used it to check his destiny report. Now that he is on the battlefield, he can't sit around somewhere and meditate in hopes of entering the tower of destiny just to see his destiny report.

Fortunately, it can be done with his mark. Even better, it is quicker than meditating, and he can spend as much time looking at it without fear of being beheaded because he was distracted.

Not much has changed concerning his abilities. Actually, nothing has changed since his game points are still one. But a lot of things have changed concerning his power rating.

His power has increased from 221,000 to 32,500,000. He went from a D-rank super to a B-rank powerhouse in just 15 days.

It is an improvement that is more than 147 times. It is all thanks to the increase of his kill count from a measly 158 to nearly 22 thousand. Continue reading at My Virtual Library Empire

This kind of improvement is something that someone that kills an average of a single enemy per minute over the course of the 15 days of fighting.

Of course, he can't take all the credit for his good work. Most of the kills were stolen after other soldiers and his squad of first division soldiers had labored to bring the enemies to the brink of death.

He can't take all the credit, but he can assign blame as to why he didn't manage to get more than 22,000 kills during the time they were fighting.

Most of that blame goes to the large distance between the strategic objectives and the elves insistence on only guarding the strategic objectives.

At first, he was killing an enemy per second and sometimes several enemies per second. But that was only the first day when he had literally been dropped into the enemy camp.

But after that first day, a space was cleared in the middle of the enemy camps, and he had to run long distances to reach the next enemy camp. This slowed down his kill rate until it fell to a crawl when the elves began to withdraw.

He thought about it and said, "If I am being honest, the other soldiers have part of the blame too."

The other soldiers were constantly killing for merit points and kill counts. This left fewer and fewer enemies for him to kill. So he believes that he has the moral standing to blame them for his poor performance these last few days.

But as soon as he thought about this, he remembered the repercussions of growing too fast and drawing dangerous attention to himself.

If there hadn't been stronger soldiers to take the focus off of him, he would have surely been targeted by the Purple Moon Demigod earlier than the time Command decided to use him as bait.

If that had happened, he would have surely died because there wouldn't be 22 X-rank supers prepared to delay the demigods, the right commander appearing to hold her down, and finally the hammer of dawn prepared for her.

He would have been alone with her, and he would have surely died. It is what happened to every eye-catching soldier that caught her attention the nights before.@@novelbin@@

He shook his head. "Damn me if I'm weak. Damn me if I'm too strong. Nothing will ever be good enough on the foreign battlefield. This place is a nightmare."

Wrath appeared beside him at that point. He could tell immediately that she was angry. It was in her posture and her tone of voice as she asked, "Where is that shameless god?"

He shrugged and said, "Don't ask me. If you can't tell, how should I find him?"

She looked around but didn't seem to find him. Then she turned to him and said, "He was just being nitpicky. There's not much of a difference between a false god and a true god when that false god is the size of a planet and can probably pummel the true god."

She didn't stop there. She had a lot more to say to him. It was as if she wanted to prove herself to him. Kelvin also considered that she might be saying these things in order to goad Aganju and bring him out of hiding.

He became more certain of this suspicion when he heard more of what she had to say.

"If she was so weak, why are they cutting her body little by little? Why doesn't he just smash a hole in the planet, break a continental plate, and wake up the false god? Why has Command decided to weaken the true god before it wakes up?"

She asked a series of provocative questions, but she didn't wait for him to answer them.

She said, "I'll tell you why. It is because he is weak. It is because he is afraid of her. A pioneer like this god, who has the potential to become the first true god in the world and become the god king, cannot be taken lightly."

Kelvin thought that it was a good idea for her to stop there. So he tried to change the subject.

He said, "I have some questions concerning this cutting of trees. Do you think I should take the mission, or do you think it is too dangerous for..."

Unfortunately, she wasn't listening to him. She continued to look around as if searching for someone, and she even raised her voice as she continued stubbornly.
