Chapter 250 Bots And Drones.

She said with a raised voice, "He is scared for his puny life, so he is being cunning and scheming like some rat that has encountered a predator that it cannot hope to..."

She stopped mid-sentence because her figure scattered, and she disappeared. Her voice was cut off in his mind, and he couldn't sense her anymore.

He looked around but didn't see the source of the attack.

Then he shook his head and thought to himself, "She only has herself to blame at this point."

The first time was a surprise and so was the second time. But he refuses to believe that she didn't see the third time coming.

In fact, he is sure that she had to be expecting it because the things she said were enough to anger a mortal, much less a god that can shut her up with a slight wave of his hand.

But she continued anyway. It is making him believe that maybe the experience of having her existence scattered like that isn't as painful as it should be.@@novelbin@@

He too would like to be able to talk smack about a true god, but he is not immortal like Wrath, and he doesn't want Aganju to find creative ways for him to wish he were dead.

So he kept his mouth shut and waited for her to return.

During that time, he took a look at the bots and drones that were being assembled. Most of them were large armored vehicles that reminded him of bulldozers and harvesters.

But these vehicles are much larger than the bulldozers at home because the trees they are working on are much larger and stronger than the trees on Earth-11.

Standing next to them makes him look like a child, as each one is about three stories tall. They were like black, metallic, three-story buildings that could move and crush obstacles in their way.

It made him say, "I bet that ice giant wouldn't feel so small standing next to these bad boys. And I bet she can scrap them with one punch."

The fact that they are cutting down trees doesn't make him underestimate them. He is sure that they can use their chains to cut down other things.

They could also drop most of their appendages and equip more deadly ones with guns and lasers.

He turned away from them and looked at the combat bots.

The combat bots were mostly humanoid. Their two legs allowed them to walk across various kinds of terrains, even forest floors strewn with large fallen tree trunks, without falling.

But instead of two arms, they had four guns. Two on each side and two large missile launchers on each shoulder.

They too were black, as they were made from the same gleaming metal that the tree cutters were made of.

But the metal, despite how durable it is, is not their main source of defense. Their main source of defense is the force field projector that they are equipped with.

The combat bots patrolled the forest floor in every direction while the drones patrolled the sky for aerial threats. The two types of robots functioned as sentries while the giant tree cutters and the soldiers busied themselves with cutting trees.

The core of their base is where the factories, refiners, and assembly lines are. So the trees are being cut down to clear as circular space with the core at the center.

After he was done examining the robots. He used the mark to check for news. Especially news regarding energy stones.

Unfortunately, there was none. Either no one has found an energy mine yet, or someone has but isn't looking for cooperation to guard and harvest it.

He shook his head and said, "I guess I can only rely on myself."

He checked for other news and updates on the dossier for the Lignum world. He wants to possess the latest knowledge of the hostile world he is currently in so that he won't die easily.

The update he wanted to see was about monsters with interesting abilities that might be useful to him. But it was going to take a long while sifting through the update log.

What he encountered the most were mundane updates, such as the animal trap that the elves are building at the edge of their territory.

These traps are simple affairs. They are just holes dug in the ground and covered with vines and plants. Anyone that steps on them will fall into the pit and be impaled by the spikes at the bottom of it.

While he was doing this, Wrath appeared.

She didn't yell or start another rant. Instead she checked around calmly looking for her arch nemesis.

He said to her, "Nice of you to take a break from your goofing off and attend to this lowly mortal."

She didn't react to his comment. Instead, she continued to look around as if she hadn't heard him. Then she said, "One day. One day."

She didn't say what that day is or what she would do when the designated day finally arrives. But he could tell what she meant, and he could also guess why she didn't have the confidence to say her threat clearly.

He sighed and said, "I have a serious matter here. Why don't you help me out before you return to trying to anger a true god?"

She snorted, but she turned to him and said, "Is this about your question about the danger of cutting trees?"

He was surprised. "You heard me."

She replied, "I did."

Already, her attention was already drifting back to Aganju. Her dark eye sockets were beginning to wander in search of him.

He asked, "Why didn't you reply then?"

She didn't look at him as she said, "I was busy."

"Right. So are you going to reply now?"

She said, "Cutting down the trees is safe as long as you're not a demigod. Mortals are too weak. To a god of this size, you guys are like ants roaming over its body."
