Chapter 330 Fun and danger.
Mykel with Henry and Jessie went back to the main palace, he went straight to Elestria and gave the documents to her. He also told her about Melissa's plan, and it was as he expected that Elestria was pleased by Melissa's plan.
"Are you planning to catch up with Victoria and the others? They left not too long ago," Elestria asked and put the documents in the drawer of her office table.
"That depends on the situation. I will let them loose for a moment and let them play with those criminals," Mykel answered.
"So what are you planning to do in the meantime? Go on a vacation? If you want, you can go to the villa on the southern beach. We have a mansion there and you can bring the kids with you," Elestria suggested. "It's not that far from the Isola Key Island, so if things happen, you can go there immediately," she added.
"Then I will take the offer, Your Highness. I will tell them and will leave tomorrow in the morning," Mykel bowed his head and left the room.
Mykel spent the whole day with Henry and Jessie, minding his own business. After he put them to sleep, Elysande came to visit and heard about him leaving to the southern beach.
"You're coming with us, My Lady?" Mykel furrowed his eyebrows and looked at Elysande in disbelief. "Her Highness allowed you to leave even though she's being suspicious of us?" he added.
"I told Ester about my wish," Elysande answered as she hugged herself. "She was against it at first, but I swore to her that we both aren't scheming something behind her back. She still has a suspicion, but she couldn't say no to my request," she explained and showed her pitiful smile.
"I can promise you that we will have a great time, My Lady. I can promise you that I'm not going to do inappropriate things, and we can just live like normal people with my power," Mykel said with a gentle smile.
"I'm looking forward to it," Elysande smiled back at Mykel and then left.
Mykel watched Elysande leave, but the reason was that a maid was eavesdropping on their conversation. She was sent by Elestria to do that, and it was perfect timing to stir problems between Elysande and Elestria.
The morning came and it was quite busy since the maids were preparing all the necessities for the four of them. It was unnecessary, but Elestria insisted and even sent a few maids to tag along with them to take care of housework. All of those maids were her eyes and ears, and both Mykel and Elysande knew it but let it happen.
"Have fun, sister," Elestria said and waved her hand at Elysande.
The trip took half a day, but they enjoyed it because of Henry and Jessie's quarrels. It was so lively that Elysande couldn't help but laugh at them and hug them so tightly. She had forgotten how long it had been for her to laugh like that, and how she had removed her elegant robe of a title as a former Queen.
"We are here..." Elysande looked at the massive villa near the beach, surrounded by palm trees and gardens. "Maybe it was when I was still in college the last time I visited this place," she pointed out.
"I would guess there are so many paintings of you when you were younger in that place?" Mykel asked.
"More than you can count," Elysande smiled and got out of the car. "I was a bit rebellious back then, so please don't make fun of the paintings where I showed my annoyed expression," she added as she helped Henry and Jessie out of the car.
Mykel was the last to enter the villa and everything was covered by white cloth. It looked like the building was abandoned because Elestria and Elysande didn't have a reason to go there anymore. The maids and the servants cleaned up the whole place in just an hour, they were really fast and didn't leave a speck of dust behind.
"This will be your room," Elysande said as she showed a big room, almost as big as a basketball court. "Henry and Jessie will have their own room as well, but I think they will end up sleeping with either of us," she chuckled.
"Thank you, My Lady..." Mykel removed his suit and gloves as he looked around the room. "I like this room, and it appears this was Her Highness's old room," he asked and saw Elestria's painting above the bed.@@novelbin@@
"Yes. Although she had her own room, she always slept with me because she believed this room was haunted," Elysand answered.
"Good to hear. I have decided to not sleep tonight," Mykel chuckled as he rolled his sleeves and sat on the bed.
"Also, you can just call me Ely. I think it's a good start to call each other's name," Elysande said as she sat beside Mykel. Continue your journey on My Virtual Library Empire
"I'll remember that, but I think we should keep it formal when there are people around. I can call you by your name when we are alone," Mykel responded.
"That's also fine. I'll let you get some rest then," Elysande stood up and then left the room.
Elysande forgot to tell Mykel that they were going to have dinner in an hour. She entered the room again without knocking on the door and that was when she blushed and flustered when she saw Mykel's shirtless body.
"What's the matter, Ely?" Mykel asked as he walked toward Elysande as he messed up his hair with only trousers on.
"Dinner in one hour..." Elysande gulped as she stared at Mykel's eight-pack and muscular body that was covered with tattoos. "I'll let you know when dinner is ready," she added and hurriedly left the room.
"You said you won't do anything inappropriate, but that doesn't count when it's the other way around. How cunning of you to make an innocent woman unleash her sexual desire," Aevia said as she chuckled.
"I don't know what you're talking about," Mykel said with a smirk and locked the door.
(At the Isola Key Island)
Sophia, Duncan, and Sabel were sitting next to each other and they were sitting on top of twelve bodies that they stacked up. Those twelve were the big bosses of the new leaders on Isola Key Island, and they defeated them as soon as they arrived.
"They're not that bad for a bunch of rookies," Sophia said as she spit out blood. "No wonder they're brave enough to call themselves leaders," she added.
Those twelve big bosses were new notorious criminals, Gifted criminals that were sent there by Elestria. They weren't punished, they were given freedom and let them do whatever they wanted there as long as they dealt with the rifts on the island.
"Sheep will always be sheep," Victoria looked at all the familiar faces, her former followers. "To think they can't even make a name for themselves is quite disappointing."
"You can't blame them since they didn't receive achievements and blessings from the Gods. They can beg until they cry blood, but if they're unworthy, nothing will happen," Felix responded.
"Well, I hope they can recover before dawn because we will use them as our meat shields in the rift tomorrow," Victoria folded her fan and walked away to have tea with Jordan, the warden of the island.
The morning came and the twelve big bosses were gathered in front of the rift with their faces covered in bruises. Those bruises weren't from last night, those were new bruises because Duncan and Sophia beat them up again.
"Jordan, you own this island so you're leading the raid. So we will follow you from behind," Victoria said with her smiling mischievous eyes as she covered her lips with the fan.
"Before we go in, I want you guys to remember the demon we are dealing with. The information that we got from clearing rift about who resides on the twenty-first rift," Jordan said with a serious expression as he looked at Victoria and the others.
"Agnigm, The Silver Bone," Sabel responded as she stared at the rift. "I can't wait to see what the store has for us."
"If you already know, let's head in," Jordan said as he raised his massive shield that was big enough to cover his whole body.
They entered the rift at the same time with Jordan walking in front. The moment Victoria and the others came out of the rift, they were petrified when they saw Jordan had been impaled from his crotch up to his head. He was dead the moment he entered the rift, and they didn't expect to see the demon right away.
Massive ribs that appeared to be coming out of the ground, each of them as tall as a skyscraper. The whole place was covered in bones, and in the distance, they saw sharp bones, forming like a cave. A woman was sitting on a throne made of bones, staring at them with her wide mouth smiling from ear to ear.
When they were focused on the Agnigm, bones came out of the ground, impaling those who were still standing in front of the rift. The rift was blocked by the bones, and Duncan immediately tried to break it but his fists were the ones who broke.
"We are stuck here..." Victoria squinted her eyes and she was anxious about it.
"We have no choice but to move forward," Sophia readied her stance with her serious expression. "We were too laid-back and forgot that this whole thing is supposed to be a life-threatening situation..."
"Take this and drink it..." Sabel tossed a small test tube at Victoria and the others. "That's something I invented from the poison and the virus. It will make you feel immense pain, but it will give you power that you can't imagine," he explained.
All of them drank the poison and they couldn't bear the pain as Sabel warned them. Agnigm was watching them and her big smile became a lot wider when she saw the growth in their bodies. She slowly stood up, spreading her skull wings and walking toward them slowly.
"I like it when humans think they have a chance when given a stupid hope," Agnigm giggled and snapped one of the bones on her left wing and used it as her weapon. "I'll play with you until he comes."
What do you think?
